When he said not to listen to the leaked OST, this is why
I don't understand the purpose of sharing leaks. I mean it's getting out anyway, why bother spreading leaks. The worst part is when people start to criticize the leaks which are the "unfinished" things.
Yea, it just feel like you went in a kitchen and stole the chief’s unfinished dishes and complain it taste horrible. Just very disrespectful to the creators
@@user-md2ds2qh5i They're doing it for fame. The "I was the first to know so bow down to me inferior beings." mentality, giving them some sort of childish pleasure. Gameplay-wise, some claim they are doing it to get a headstart on materials to gather, but that would only work if the info is 100% same as the final product. But mostly, they are people who don't understand the value of delayed gratification. And yes, it is very disrespectful, but what can you expect from people who cannot control their impulses?

I'd very much rather have mihoyo give us little teases over time
same but I can't stop listening to it. It's so amazing
managed to stay away from most of the leaks thankfully but I also heard only MIDI was leaked? So we still get to hear the live orchestrated versions fresh
I remember that when 1.6 dropped ~32 songs (complete orchestral versions) were leaked. These last days what is believed to be the complete ost (~230 songs) were leaked so...
@@DeVoidLij That's a huge shame, and I happened to hear the leaked battle music. It was epic, but I realized that something was really off with the bgms and I found out that the "leaks" weren't actually real deal. Those were just midis, not real orchestra. My point was proven when they played one of the inazuma battle themes in the stream and it sounds waaay fresher and authentic when compared to the midi version.
before mihoyo even said they were inspired by ghibli on the inazuma update, this piece already did justice that they really studied and worked on making something big and good

That’s got to do with deriving inspiration from different cultures instead of sticking to european classical music. They’ve definitely done their research and I’m happy we get to listen to such beautiful music from all over the world (even if it’s just a simplified, inspired version). Can’t wait til we get music from the other regions!!

There are classical pieces out there that are fairly unique and masterful. I can’t say that this is the case definitively, but your message struck out to me as a statement that someone biased by social norms would say. No offense to you, I’m just mentioning he effect your comment had on me separate from you as a person. I can agree when you say that Yu-Peng’s style is very unique and refreshing.
Sounds like you just haven't listened to classical music. I'm going to assume the "generic" pieces you speak of may refer to the earlier periods of classical music's long history, or whatever iconic piece is overplayed in films, despite them establishing important foundations in compositional theory. There are great compositions and composers nowadays, and you can really see some of their creativity and style range when listening to movie or video game OSTs, but that shouldn't mean you label the centuries of music before as generic. That's just ignorance, since Yu-Peng Chen here is playing a classical instrument, doing very classical things, despite the Japanese flair.

This, this right here, is one of the best piano pieces I have heard, in almost I'd say a good year, the calmness of it, and then lead into the crescendo, it kills me, everything, chills go down my spine, the amount of emotion in it is overwhelming, thank you, so much Yu-peng chen, this is absolutely amazing.

I love the Joe Hisaishi influence to Inazuma's music, the attention to cultural references in creating each region is very cool in Genshin, and that they invite local orchestras for each chapter is also a nice detail.
