#2: Huge Record Collection: Psych, Prog and other Gems

- I had a great opportunity to buy a whole record collection for a very decent price.
A great mixture of all genres and artists of which I took about 40 records for my own collection.
Here they are.
That Thunderclap Newman album is ace. Pete Townshend produced it and played bass on it. Rick Grech played bass in Blind Faith. He was a founding member of Family, a great English psychedelic band. The Pretty Things best stuff are their psychedelic albums, SF Sorrow and Parachute.
Yeah thunderclap newman are fantastic. I dont understand why they only made this album though its huge succes. I definitely agree with the Pretty Things. SF Sorrow is great and their psychedelic stuff slightly underrated!
Fat Mattress is a lot more moody and pastoral than the Experience. I’m more familiar with their first album, but all their stuff is good. I think the idea of that playing records wet sounds better is a myth.
Good to know! Its the last album of that collection I couldn‘ t Listen to yet, but they were always on my want list (as it still is with their first album)
