- The Hurontario LRT is coming soon to Mississauga and Brampton.
You can expect fast, reliable connections to GO Transit lines at Port Credit and Cooksville; Mississauga Transitway; Brampton Zum at the Brampton Gateway terminal and express and local MiWay and Brampton transit services.
The Hurontario LRT will be the backbone of transit in the region of Peel providing countless opportunities for future transit development.
It says 2024 completion date. Still 4yrs away. Was originally estimated to be done in 2022.
that's because there is not enough workers
It says 2024, but it will probably be completed late 2024, or early 2025 (the city Mississauga is deciding to do other infrastructure changes while the lrt is under construction; gas line changes from Mineola and Cooksville, etc).
"dump it"
@@sm3675 September 2024 is what wikipedia shows.
And it’s still not done in 2024
Did we finished yet? Just checking. I ll come back in 3 years
Can we also get a Dundas LRT or BRT?
We r getting a dundas brt. Although I think Kipling subway should be extended to hurontario and the brt can start from there
It is happening but it is still in planning.
I reckon it'll be at least another 2 or 3 years. In the meantime Hurontario will will stay like a stock-car track.
So when this LRT gets it's own dedicated lane, does that mean Hurontario is going to be reduced to 2 lanes aside for vehicles?

It looks like that's the case for most of the route. I would still take it. They won't build it as a subway, but it will still be much faster than driving on Hurontario when its congested. Traffic is only going to get worse as the GTA keeps growing.

@@manansethi2865 how long did u live in the GTA Mr Sethi? For me, 37yrs
@@whatastud1000 was born here 20 yrs.
Its beem almost 15 years still not done.
It has been under construction for 15 years?
No matter how soon there are just about 3 or 4 major problems which will slow the project down (Crew Shortage, Seasonal Weather Conditions, and on-site sabotage or vandalism)
