One of my favorite rom-coms ever. RIP Amanda Peterson.
Thank you so much for watching
She was so beautiful. The drugs got her in the end. What a waste.
She grew up, and died, in the town I now work in. That blew me away.
@@TheNuckinFoob , what town is that she grew up in & died at? Is it Tucson?
@80s Life
Good vid brother I'm from Tucson that's my classic movie where exactly is Ronalds house
Let's hop in a time machine and go back to the 80s everybody!! #Classic
Let's go!
When and where and I’m there!!!!
wasnt really that great what i recall
I came from the future, and it's better to go back. hahahah
Awesome job! At the end though, Cindy wasn't paying Ronald the money back, she was giving him the money from her mother for him cutting the lawn.
Watching your videos is like sitting in the Delorean and traveling back in time, my heart is grateful for living this. Greetings from Uruguay 🇺🇾
Fazia sucesso mundial assisti no brasil em 1990 tinha 10 anos de idade cindy mancine era paixão minha 🇧🇷
Wow I was junior in college when this came out, 1987 one of the best years of my life, Id go back in a heartbeat.
Classic...I must have seen this movie 100 times by now. Great memories. Outstanding research and work Sir. Thanks Kurt Crucial!
My pleasure. Thank you!
I seen it over a 100 times 2 but do u know all the words like I do
Me too!
You should do it over and not tell people she gave the money back. She was paying him for mowing the lawn.
An 80s classic!
Absolutely
Really enjoyed this one and I rented the movie last night after watching. I started high school in 1981 so 80's is my generation. Thank you for what you do.
Slow clap!!! 👏 Loved this movie dude. Saw it in the theater when I was in 7th grade. So cool!
This is definitely one of the best filming locations I've ever seen from a UA-camr. You're really amazing at this! Up there with Sean Clark & the OG Herve Attia! But that is my humble opinion. ❤️❤️❤️
YES!!! Thank you. I finally found someone that gave this movie the respect it needed. I absolutely love filming location videos. You absolutely nailed it my friend. Perfection 👍🏻
Aww. That really means a lot to me. Being one of my all time favorites, I really wanted to do it justice. Thank you!!
@@80sLife You did. That movie was such a special movie.
The amount of research and effort you and your family put in to these videos for us to enjoy are amazing. Felt a bit down tonight and watching this made me feel better again. One day I’ll be a Patreon. That’s for sure. Big hugs from Sweden.
Thank you so much. That is an amazing compliment. So glad I could cheer you up a bit. Thank you!
Your AWESOME - “Pat Riley” OMG - I needed that laugh - This was a good one - It’s a great 80’s movie - Great Job
Re commenting because that last comment was insane for auto spell. Thank you for going to Tucson and doing this movie! We have been waiting some time now. It’s bitter sweet since the actress Amanda Peterson (Cindy) is no longer with us. Like we had mentioned before you are the filming location top dog detective! I’m sure LAPD could have used you however , we are happy to have you here. Thanks for all of your hard work for us to enjoy. P.S. The part when you’re reciting Cindy’s poem to your wife was priceless! 😂💙
Pure joy watching these vids. Takes me back in time and I am so appreciative that they exist. Well done!!!!
Thank you for this!! Loved this movie since I came out.
Good work. I watch this film at least once or twice a year, 80s classic.
You knew the exact spot where Big John cut that fart?! 🤣 Great video bro, I love this film.
Haha. Thank you!!
Wow, outstanding! If there was a competition on these location vids, you'd win.
Love this movie! Love the 80s!
Absolutely nailed it! Not sure if true, but a Tucson native once told me that was pretty much the ONLY neighborhood in the entire city with actual lawns, which just makes the very notion of Ronald's part-time job that much more ridiculous. Also, I wonder if it was some sort of Easter egg or just a coincidence, but I couldn't help but notice that there were (at least) two separate instances in the movie of moms busting their sons (@6:34, @8:50). Mad props to you on this one, Kurt!!!
Not true
Tic-Tac-Tile! Nicely done Kurt! This movie changed my life and has the heart of a lion. Best “Slow Clap” out of any 80’s movie. 👏 I rented this the day it came out on VHS. I had a huge crush on the late great Amanda Peterson. Amazing cameos by Max Perlich, (as always), Courtney Gains, Gerardo, Seth Green and Ami Dolenz. Holding out for a Blu Ray release, but the music rights will delay that indefinitely. Wonderful video as always. The Protesters that made it into the shot is heart attack funny. Loved the Crucial family cameo! You’re an awesome Detective! Thank you! ❤️✌️🕶⭐️
Lucas had a very memorable slow clap too/
@@espritmike Absolutely Mike G! The slow clap in “Lucas” was slow and in control. Not like the slow clap in “Hoosiers” where it’s starts slow, but goes straight to 11. Gene Hackman was riling up the team but taking away from the slow clap.
Wow you just amaze me with the quality and humor that is your videos, thank you.
I grew up in Tucson and lived there when they filmed both Revenge of the Nerds and Major League. You did a great job with this video, really enjoyed watching!
One of my all-time favorite 80's movies! This is by far the BEST filming locations video for this film that I have seen. Very well done!
Thank you so much. It's in my top 5. So I was so happy to make this
Great video Kurt! This movie brought back so many memories to my wife and me. When I met my wife, 40 years ago, she was exactly like "Cindy", the popular one in school. I was exactly like "Ronald", introverted and shy. My wife changed me like "Cindy" did to "Ronald" in this movie, changing my style of dress and my hair. The only difference from "Ronald" and I, is that I did not dump my wife! She is the love of my life. We have this movie on the original VHS format and also DVD! Also, a thank you to our son, Anthony, for alerting me to this new video, of "Can't buy me love", from "Kurt" 80s Life!
wow this really amazed me! so much remains the same! usually so much has changed from the 80s on every movie vs current day. this neighborhood looks pretty cool to me I'm digging that high school too! this is one of my favorite movies!
I, too, LOVED this film and was completely smitten with Amanda Peterson. I live in Colorado now, and Amanda lived in Greeley...about an hour away...at the time of her death. From time to time over the years I'd found and posted on various online forums and message boards where people discussed Can't Buy Me Love, and I always said that Amanda Peterson was almost certainly just like the character of Cindy Mancini in terms of kindness and having a big heart for the underdogs of the world. When I read about her many problems with the law, bad relationships, and drug abuse (all three intertwined), I was always supportive of her. Well, after she died I read that she followed those online conversations and very much appreciated kind words from her fans. I can't articulate how much I regret not having taking another step to two toward actually trying to help her. Rest in peace, Amanda. You left behind many broken hearts....
I can feel you friend, nice words
Weird how the cameras make every shot wider yet closer in all the 80s films, thanks Kurt for doing what you do here mate.
This by far is one of my favorites also. I've lost count how many times I've seen it. Thanks for doing this one Kurt!
My pleasure. Thank you!
Amanda Peterson who plays Cindy in the movie went through some tough years later on in life and died aged just 43,RIP..very sad. That's the best location vlog you have done Kurt the places look so similar to how they did 35 yrs ago!.
I absolutely loved this movie and it may be one of my favorite 80s movies. Just like Fast Times At Ridgemont High nailed California in the 80s. This movie nailed it for Tucson in the 80s. I laughed at Tic Toc Tile, because my father was working at Tucson Tile at the time and drove an old station wagon hauling tile..They had to of seen him driving down the road and put it in the movie..🤣😂 Great job on the filming locations…
Great movie and BY FAR the best filming locations upload for this classic…..well done Kurt!
Great job Kurt I loved this!
Had it on VHS. Had it on DVD. So good.
I still have both 🙂 thank you for watching
Great video! Can't Buy Me Love is also a top 5 favorite of mine. It never gets old. 😎
Another outstanding job! Funny enough I literally had my Tucson U of A shirt on today too when I watched this. The mom and kid cameo crossing the street and the Pat Riley reference had me LOL! I do filming locations on UA-cam as well. I don’t do a lot of 80’s movies, but coincidentally the last few I’ve posted were all 80’s movies (Funny Farm, Bettlejuice, Hoosiers and Rudy). I gather you and I are about the same age and I love how much I can relate to your material and understand where you’re coming from. Keep it up man!
Wow I think this is your best one yet! Great job as usual but this is superb!
Born in 85. This is my all time favorite movie. My feel good movie when I’m sad. I LOVE this! Thank you thank you thank you!! Soooo cool!!!!
You and @Malfuncsean are the best out there doing the locations !! Stellar work 🙏
Kurt, You did it again!! GREAT Job. I have seen a bunch of filming location of this movie and everyone says they can not find the miller house. AGAIN, great job!!
😁 thank you so much. It's my pleasure
I'm so grateful that I went to High School during the '80's. Fun movie and great research!
As so many of you here, I discovered Patrick Dempsey and Amanda Peterson through this movie. I was living in Europe at the time, and I saw the trailer in a movie theater. Not sure if it was Adventures in Babysitting?
Anyhow, I went back to the same cinema to see Can't buy me love, and returned for some more encores.
As it was Europe, getting a VHS of the movie was complicated but I eventually managed.
Later on, I found an NTSC DVD sold in my country. I had to find a DVD players compatible too.
I own the movie too today. So I can stream it whenever.
I fell in love with Amanda Peterson at first sight and was disappointed that she had stopped acting. Sad that she also disappeared in tragic circumstances.
Watching Can't buy me love today takes an even ore special meaning...
That's awesome how much you love the movie!! Thank you so much for watching
I love this movie! Yours is the very best, most complete filming location video that has been done for Can't Buy Me Love; and I am pretty sure I've seen them all. Great job! 😎👍
Your filming location videos are amazing my friend! Please keep them coming
Your locations videos are just awesome!! I love your complete attention to detail.
He did a nice video. But didn’t pay attention to the movie, he said she gave the money back when she was paying for mowing the lawn.
This was AMAZING. This is also my top 5 fav 80’s movie. I did not notice that about the picketers in the cheerleading practice scene. Cool info! Also the mall was so cool to see the updated stores. It was also great you got inside the HS. LMAO at the SMB warp zones and you dancing like Ronald 🤣
This was SO good. Great work as always dude 🤘
I loved it! Thank you for doing the location work for one of my ultimate favorite 80s movies! You are amazing!
Just a great classic movie. I rented this on VHS a ton of times when I was a teenager! Great times back then. Today the world just sucks. Glad I can go back in time for a few minutes to relive this.
One of my favorite 80's movies!! Thank you! Fell in love with Darcy DeMoss.
Nice job!!
Seen bits and pieces of this movie, never the whole thing. One of the 80s teen classics I’m going to have to watch some time. Great video, Kurt! Tucson looked/looks like such a great place!
Awesome.. great job. Well done. 👍🏻
One of my favorite movies too! Always will be a classic in my book. Thanks for another awesome video Kurt!
Absolutely! My pleasure! Thank you!
Well done. I am so glad you tackled this one...one of my favorites and you did a great job as always.
THANK YOU!! this is one I have wanted to do for sooo long. one of my all time favorites.
I love that you were able to get the late Norm McDonald to narrate your video.
Hahaha well done! Your wife must have a great sense of humor to put up with you reading that terrible poem to her!
I know this movie as well as you - minus the filming locations. Fabulous job. I think the best “Filming locations “ I’ve ever seen. Being an AZ native I really appreciated it
Greets from Germany. Awesome video, great to see all the real locations nowadays. RIP Amanda Peterson ✝
Very well done, I enjoyed every minute of it. What a nice surprise. Thank you for this!!
Hi Kurt,, Glad you found the movie 🎥🍿 filming of can't find me love 💕 in Tucson Arizona. There are still many areas of the movie around inside and out.The Mall interior was redesigned at the top of the windows and ceilings the columns are still the same today.. The school's 🏫 Doors were Red in the movie now there Tan.. Great 👍 Job on telling the story of the Movie 🎥 and the Areas..✌️ peace..
This was one of the top watches for me in high school, I was a sophomore when this came out so it was veeeery relatable to me, it's def an 80's classic. I actually worked the theater when this came out so I watched it on my breaks. Great job on the video as always Kurt! Nice to see you branching out from LA. Keep it up!
A great & informative video kurt. I was only 10 when this film came out,but remember watching it like it was yesterday,i think my older brother got it from the video shop. Also,i was very saddened to hear amanda peterson had passed away back in 2015 at the tragically young age of 43. 😢
Man!!! You are a real movie detective. I couldn't have imagined that there was a video like this for this movie. Thank you so much.
Great job!!!
Thank you!!
So well done-thank you! I was working at Catalina UMC on Speedway at the time. We hosted the film crew for lunch in our fellowship hall and I am almost positive the arcade (which was right next to Scoops) was originally a flower shop that was transformed into an arcade for the shooting of the movie 🤔 Again - thank you!
This is amazing. Im still watching this movie from time to time, thank you sir! unfortunately Amanda is not with us anymore
Loved it. Great job.
iWatched this movie so many times, iLove it!! it catches that mid-'80s vibe so well even thought the film was released i '87, but it was filmed in '86. This movie is in my top 10 of '80s movies for sure. Great video.🤝🏼
Nice job Kurt! So much work to do the research and filming/editing for this! Thanks for pulling all of this together.
I love seeing you guys make it a family trip when filming these videos.
Ok this video is absolutely amazing. Brilliantly done! It deserves a whole lot more credit than it's currently getting. Great job sir!
Just showed my kids this movie and told them it was in my top 5
Awesome filming location video Kurt. Great work on finding all of the locations and info. Keep doing what you’re doing man!
This was fabulous! Thank you so much for making this. Just watched the movie on Tubi, one of my favorite 80s movies. I remember when I saw it in the theatres in the summer of 87. It was the surprise hit of that summer. The 80s were wonderful magical times. So sad about Amanda Peterson RIP.
Well done sir, you have a new subscriber. And Arizona is such a beautiful state.
As usual very well done Kurt! A really fun watch. The videos just keep getting better!
One of the best movies in the 80’s along with his other movie that was made couple years later Loverboy and who would of know Ricky, played by Gerardo “Riiiiico Suave” would have a hit song. Amazing work as usual Kurt keep delivering fantastic content!!
Just started watching, but wanted to say thank you in advance. Love these videos. Thanks, man.
It's my pleasure. Thank you!
Awesome job!! One of my favorite movies. Love your location videos. Top notch!!
Thank you so much
Fantastic job!
Thank you so much!
Yes! I had a feeling you were going to do this when I mentioned this movie, Real Genius and something else. Then you mentioned you had something planned for a few of them during one of your live streams. Woohoo! Love your ad-libbing too. Great job as usual.
Great Job Kurt. You do an amazing job on these videos.
Thank you so much!!
Such excellence! I greatly appreciate all you and your family do to bring these extremely well done and researched filming locations! I can't wait to show my wife this! She loves this movie too! Thank you kindly!👏🥳🤘
I finally figured out why I love interior rock walls, they're in several of my most favorite movies. :)
Strangely I've never seen this movie and I absolutely adore my 80s films. Brilliant video Kurt as always never ever fails. Can't wait for the next one
😁 thank you!! I hope you Give the movie a watch
I apreciate all your hard work brother it’s Awsome you take me back always
One of my all time favorite 80s movie! Thanks for sharing!
One of my all time favorite movies. Thanks 80’s life!!
Great video. I love this movie. I remember seeing it in theaters and rooting for Ronald to get his comeupence.
I live here in Tucson... you did an awesome job bro! I've taken my kids to some of the filming sites. They love the movie too.
Good stuff! You are the GOAT of filming location videos, and I really enjoy them. Amazing that at the entrance doors to the high school how even the mural on the side is the same after all these years. In fact, this may very well be the most similar the locations look between then and now of a movie this old that you have ever done.
😁 thank you so much!! That means so much to me! It's amazing right? Ronalds, Cindy's, the school...
Loved this. In the eighties this was my favorite movie. I kept it running on the VCR like a background feel good sound. I actually played one of the tapes so it pulverized. Amanda Peterson was every boys crush. Thrue the years me and one guy still drops oneliners. This, Thrashin and North shore were my film Bibles.
Just came across your channel and loved it. I happened to just watch this with my wife a few days ago and thought about looking it up and here you are showing off the film. Great series you got my sub.
Loved this movie, man I am getting old. Good job.
Excellent work sir! One of my all time favorite movies! Great to see everything!
Ronnie goes from geek to sheik lol.. great movie thanks Kurt
I think you mean “chic” 😂
🙂 always my pleasure. Thank you!
@@m3pilot19 sorry autocorrect lol
Kurt. Great job but you misled people when you said “I don’t understand why she’s giving the money back she did her job. She was paying for lawn.
Thank you for the locations and research you put into this. I loved the movie. It was awesome! I was shock to know Phyllis Amanda Peterson ( AKA) Mandy died July 3 2015. Her birthday was July 8th. She would have been 44. I loved her part in the movie. Thanks for all the research you done. It's awesome.
It's definitely my pleasure. Thank you!!
Great job getting all this put together. I love this movie as well. I had a big crush on Cindy Mancini lol as I'm sure a lot of guys did
I love that movie such a great movie I still watch it from this day
Right behind you buddy still love this movie to this day. Lover boy too
