You had me with a chrome bike but I have to say your build turned out Absolutely Gorgeous!!! Some chrome pegs would be the only thing else I could ask for in a freestyle BMX bike.
If building a 97 performer right now, I’m halfway through and just waiting for parts in the mail. These 95-97 style gt’s and dyno’s are my absolute favourite…I was 15-17 then, so many memories. I went with 6 spoke tuffs, too!! I got the LAST set of green 6 spoke tuffs available…I’m glad I don’t see many in 6, even though they LOOK way better. Nice wheels, bro…cheers from the home of helltrack, NW Calgary Alberta 🤙🏻
Thanks! They were some I had laying around, I'm not sure on the brand. I know they are nothing special though. I'm sure you could find a decent set online for cheap.
Nice I thought they were skyway wheels. So after researching, I saw that they have sealed and flanged bearings. I'm wondering which one you chose and why? As well as im honestly looking for something plug and play as im new to the restoration world. Appreciate the response and info.
I didn't know they offered different types of bearing options. I found a good deal on these new wheels on ebay and got them. I believe they are sealed bearings, they are very smooth. @@tnazt33
Hello. I’m building 2 Dyno COMPES and the serial numbers start with a YC. What does the AIR you were working on start with the serial numbers. I’m having a hard time figuring out the year of my Bikes. Thank You Delray.

Your build sounds awesome! There is nothing as cool as the old school 80’s - 90’s BMX. Thanks for telling me about your bike, and thanks for watching!

Nice restoration, what type of rims are those? Where did you buy them? As well as the blue chain? Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks! Skyway 6 Spoke Mag Wheel Set Blue 20” BMX - KMC Chain - Both I found on Ebay.

that looks like a big sprocket. what size is that? i have this same frame, and i wanted to do a build. I was looking at 28t sprocket
Cool! 28T is too small. For the classic 80s 90s BMX look you want a 43T
Or 44T
Awesome restoration. Would you be interested in selling that bike?
Thank you! I don't plan on selling it, currently.
