And second, just because different teams play out from the back doesn't necessarily mean that they have the same style or philosophy. City, Liverpool, Bayern and Leeds all play out from the back, but they play differently.
Seems like this build-up play requires a lot of off ball movement: defender moving forward & midfielder drop back to link up... and if execute right this can be built up as a counter situation.. intersting

Messi had to carry the whole team having to go down deep to receive the ball himself 2.pique completely lost and Madrid took advantage of that scoring twice because of it and he scored own goal 3. Alexis Vidal horrendous touch don't know why semedeo didn't play 4. Deulefou was very afraid did everything wrong 5. Suarez hasn't been in form for quite a while now 6. Iniesta is getting old 7. Busuqets umtiti alba and ter stegen did their best but could only watch since Madrid exploited pique and vidals side 8. Denis Suarez better than deulefou but only more confident 9. Sergio Roberto average but would never be able to fill iniesta place and paco only played 8 minutes 10. Valverdes decision very poor with choosing Alexis Vidal and subbing in paco to late to make a difference this is why he wants inigo Martinez a confident fast strong tall centerback who pique should have subbed with since of piques lack of pace and his poor performance this game valverde should have option on the bench just like zidane who brought in two goal scorers this is what valverde is missing and Paulinho is not going to help which is really sad for us Barca fans 11. Have you seen how Arsenal's attacks always overlap from the side when you have a 3-4-3 you just can't resist using all that space. Arsenal doesn't pass a lot in the middle like they used to. They mirrored Chelsea + a touch of Wenger creativity.
It's less the back three that changes than the things around it (overall offensive and defensive shape, position of wing backs, the fact that Chelsea play a double pivot and Pep always uses only one)
Also what are your thoughts on Paredes moving to Zenit St. Petersburg? Why did Roma sell one with so much potential to Zenit? Do you think he will explode and come back to bite Roma?

Interesting Wenger football lesson...I still personally think he isn't as good as he is as an all round manager from the past. But when it comes to tactical fluidity, he can adapt (if only he knew sooner 😂😂😂). Nice attack set up; not a counter attack, but rather short build up play. Pep esque? Great all round player positioning and awareness from Arsenal.

They didn't actually have numerical superiority, it was more due to horrendous and non.compact pressing from Chelsea (why the hell is Kante stepping to the side, the back three is so low yet the forwards press super high and the passing options are not covered well
I still thinking that Wenger should never have bought Ozil for Arsenal. Fabregas suit wenger style of play, but not Ozil. Since Fabregas leave Arsenal in 2010/2011 season, Arsenal never the same anymore. They’re not controlling midfield & passing the ball with purpose. This is typical wenger style. Any team press, Arsenal can counter and create a chances to score goals. That's why So many team park the bus against Arsenal. But now, a little pressure against them and Arsenal already concede. What a turnaround. And Wenger style is not really a pressing team. But press good enough to win the ball at least. 😂
