Came here from Shrouded Hand, saw your Sandown Clown pendant you made him and thought I'd check the channel out. Glad I did, enjoy the walk and the trivia and facts along the way, nicely done.
Living fully in the moment is a day well spent, which includes watching Cool Dude's videos!
Nice one cool dude.
“Excuse me if I speak nonsense” could be a new catch phrase!? 🥳
I think I might already have too many cool dude
Favourite structure… Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia in Barcelona is pretty damn incredible. Breathtaking
Yes, I like buildings that are unlike anything else.
Made it past the 30 seconds barrier and still think you are the Cool Dudes Supremo, Marek ... keep up the good work, please - much appreciated!
Good work cool dude
“Don’t waste a day” really resonates ☺️
Happy birthday! 🎉
@@pheebsd3291 thanks ☺️
Happy birthday for tomorrow, hope you have a good one 👍
@@DaveandBuddyOutdoors that’s very kind 😊
Have a great birthday!
Yay, perfect timing! Nothing on the tv so this video gets the big screen premiere it rightly deserves. 😊
Same 😊
It is an honour to be on the big screen. I hope the 4K looks good
looks excellent!
This looks and feels great my friend! Absolutely beautiful 🥾🥾
had to like it for the mr. bumps, nice one!
My favorite building is a castle Olavinlinna here in Finland. Absolutely beautiful place.
That is cool. I like the curved turrets.
I always click the like button before I even watch the video lol. I think i do it because I already know the video will be superb and I never want to forget to click it lol. Weird question,.....have you ever gotten spooked or had bad vibes about any place while walking and just quickly got out of there? All the places seem so beautiful but some spots here and there seemed a tad creepy lol
When I did the Boudicca Way the church with the overgrown graveyard on the third day gave me seriously bad vibes.
Didn’t think I’d be using this so soon
Excellent new emoji usage cool dude
My favourite building is the Millenium Centre in Cardiff . its quite a sight especially at night. Love your videos thank you.
Thanks cool dude.
My fave building is the Russell Cotes museum in Bournemouth. Its a pefect example of a beautiful wealthy Victorian home. On that note Osborne House Isle of Wight, comes a close second!
I do like a good bridge! My favourite building I've seen has to be the Taj Mahal.
I'd like to see the Taj Mahal one day cool dude
Another cracking episode Marek. 👍 My favourite building is Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire. The locals call it Beaver Castle. Absolutely beautiful, like a fairytale Castle. I think it's periodically open to the public. Keep up with the great vlogs matey. 😃👍
I will keep an eye out for that one.
Robocop again.
I think we need a Robomarek emoji, cool dudes.
Need to get to 700 members first cool dude
I really like Chesterfield Parish Church which has a really wonky spire that looks like it's so of a magic world
Yes that is an excellent. I like that the football team’s nickname is after it.
I noticed my home town Chester in the key ring gallery,a walk around the city walls would make an excellent video👍
One day I will get up that way I hope.
The buildings gaudi made are not too shabby. I like the dragon house!
A lot of fans of Gaudi on here cool dude.
I cant even decide my favourite building or structure, there are so many. I think it may be the whole village of Portmeirion which is my muse. However i'm a big brutalist fan also and I love the Trellick tower. Also those lovely white art deco twenties houses with curved windows, Derek Jarmans house in dungeness, lakeshore in Bristol, Somerset Place in Bath, Santorini, flatiron building in NY...too much choice!
I lived next to Trellick Towers for 18 months in a flat below a crack dealer who got murdered!
@@cdwc sounds like a lively place to live! Blooming heck!
I was dumbstruck when I saw the majesty of the Hallgrímskirkja, a Lutheran Church in Reykjavik, Iceland. Not religious, but love the abstract symmetry of it. Another lovely relaxing video BTW.
Same, just the simplicity but complexity of how it looks like basalt rock columns rising. Very calming.
Wow that looks cool. Almost like an alien structure.
Very excited to see my home town featured! I've done that walk and was scared I'd be murdered basically the whole time. I do feel this walk captured the best of Bristol though - the parrot-knee man, good graffiti, the muddy gloop of the Avon (it's tidal so to be fair it sometimes looks a bit less shit), the woods, and the bridge as a spot for either admiring the view or dumping bodies. Glad you enjoyed it.
Yes I can see how that walk would be really creepy. It is sad that women can’t feel safe walking alone due to gross men.
Probably the Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria for me. Blair Castle in Scotland which I have seen in person is also a good shout.
Cool choices cool dude
Is it me or is there a touch of the music from the X Files in the middle of that one? With regards the buildings, pretty much most national Trust properties, tbh. Got to love a bit of history with a tea and bun shop attached.
My favourite building Marek, is Warwick Castle.😎
An excellent castle!!!
Had a long think about my favourite buildings, I have many😊 The Natural History Museum 🌳🦖🐿️🦡🐯🐨🦉🐳🐧🦋🐞🦗 would come top, then The National Gallery. 🎨🖌️🖼️
Favourite Railway Station would be Waterloo because it's only one hour forty-five minutes to Portsmouth Harbour! 🛳️ 😂
That walk looked pretty scary.😳 Stay Cool 😎👍🏻
I like the Natural History Museum too. I can't remember if it has any gargoyles. I love gargoyles.
Arundel Castle and Cathedral are probably my favourite!
Arundel Castle walk in the can and coming soon cool dude
Weird how people don’t take advantage of such a lovely looking footpath.
I’m picking Lincoln Cathedral for nostalgic reasons. Could see it from miles away when we went on the train from Nottingham to see my Nan.
There's a monument/pillar thing as you drive towards Norwich and it always reminds me of visiting my family. I like buildings/structures that give you those sort of feelings.
If you love a yew tree, then try a walk around Kingley Vale, near Chichester. Yew trees galour!!
Sounds cool will put it on the list cool dude
Favourite building: The Tricorn in portsmouth (sadly no longer standing).
Cool Brutalist stuff
One of my favourite buildings probably has to be Hallgrímskirkja in Reykjavík. You can go up the church tower and get the panoramic views and often four different types of weather as you look out each side! It brings back many happy memories.
I’d like to go to Reykjavik one day. That sounds excellent
if you ever need a tour guide... 😅 so many beautiful places in Iceland to see.
I like your robocop theme rendition.
It is better than the original
Great video Cool Dude, there is a little gem not far away from where you filmed this called Abbots pool, if you are in the area again its well worth checking out. Thanks for sharing Cool Dude👌👍👍 oh and by the way Cool Dude that was Mad Parrot Pete, you were lucky to get out of there Alive 😁😁😁
I am so pleased Mad Parrot Pete didn’t see me. Maybe the parrot had already eaten.
@@cdwc probably a Jogger or a Cyclist 😁😁😁 or a pigeon hope fully!
My favourite building in Bristol is the BT Tower on Purdown, looks like a spaceship!
Just googled it. It looks a bit like a cool pagoda.
Really enjoyed this walk, cool dude! I also love Tower Bridge. I think my favourite building is Edinburgh Castle. Closely followed by Strait Street in Valletta, Malta. Which isn't a building but a street, but it's quirky amd beautiful, in my humble opinion. Stay cool!
My favourite structure is the Millau Viaduct. It would have been the Oresund Bridge but every time I cross it, it's overcast and raining heavily.
I had not seen that before. I am a big fan of the old stone viaducts.
You missed the Clifton Rocks Railway.
Fun facts: Not only did Brunel design the bridge but once he was choking on a gold coin doing a magic trick ..he designed forceps to remove later/he nearly drowned in a Thames tunnel and his father was a French engineer too 👍
First time ever that number of people around can legitimately be a fraction...
Extra points for watching until the end
Tintagel Castle. Wild, Windy, Magical. (But not when there are 10,000 King Arthur tourists there). Love a Castle too Marek. Especially a ruined castle. I have come across many things whilst walking in the woods. But never have I encountered a man in a car with a parrot on his lap. Well done Marek. 👍Your painting, by the way, is absolutely fabx J x
I wish I’d have known what the parrot man was up to. It was most peculiar.
That's close to home territory, another good walk I must try. Zoe and I almost together said our favourite building wa the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. But maybe it's Wells Cathedral our home City special building.
You do make us laugh.
Take every day as it comes, we've just lost a close friend, you never know what's around the corner. Live life to the full cooldudes.
I like Tewkesbury Abbey near me cool dude.
Just googled it, very nice.
Hi Marek, this is Joe Gue, one of your followers who won a previous prize draw, I have just resent my home address. Hopefully, you will get it this time. Cheers
Got it this time. I must have deleted it by accident. Sorry dude. Prize in the post
Those mean isolated paths had an uneasy and sinister vibe to them. And living in that house surrounded by woods capped it all. (St Davids Cathedral is my favourite structure)
Maybe it was a psychopath’s house
Jen: Emley Moor Mast - because always tell when she is near home (brought up) when she sees it in person
Mike: either Tewkesbury Abbey or a little bouncy foot bridge in Peasholm Park in Scarborough ( Abbey grew up there, bridge takes the pressure off my knees when running)
I like those buildings that let you know you are getting closer to home cool dudes.
My favourite structure - the Orwell bridge.
No idea why, but I love it 😊
Just googled it. Pretty cool. I really like the Severn Bridge.
In no particular order, York Minster , Lincoln Cathedral, St Pancras Station, Kings Cross Station👍🏻
Cool buildings dude
Glen Canyon Dam in Page, Arizona, USA - when I stood on the bridge overlooking it, it took my breath away.
Can't wait to see what the job was
I would love to see a big dam in real life. Currently I have only seen them in Bond films.
@@cdwc I've seen Hoover Dam as well but I was more impressed with Glen Canyon Dam as you could stand on the bridge opposite so it's a lot more accessible, hopefully you can get over there some day or get a part that takes you there for free! 👍
My favorite structure is an old gate house at a park in Brussels where I used to go to life drawing classes. It had been used as an art school of sorts for years and years and over the decades the linseed oil had seeped into the wooden interior of the building so the smell was the most beautiful I have ever experienced in a building.
That sounds like an excellent place to visit. I tried oil painting recently. It was much harder than I thought.
@@cdwc have you tried with palate knife? The larger the canvas the better, but I find it so calming painting with a knife. Though it sounds rather angry when put like that.
6:07 You did the right thing eating where you did, Marek. I'd bet you a packet of Strawberry Laces that as soon as you'd settled on those more comfortable looking steps and spread out your feast, someone would have come by and wanted to use the steps, annoying you no end.
This is good thinking cool
Dude
Old wardour Castle! Great walk 👍
I will look that up cool dude
My favourite building/structure is Arundel Castle,
Yes it is excellent. A walk round it coming soon.
Stokesay Castle.
On a team building day about 30 years ago I built the world's greatest bridge made of lolly sticks and it was able to support a 1 litre bottle of water, I was 23 so must be better than IKB. I like the triangular Broadway Tower in the Cotswolds, good views from the top too. I thought that your piano rendition was going to be Close to you by the Carpenters as the opening bars sounded just like it. Maybe you should practice that one dude?
As nice as that walk looked on the information board... it did look very murdery... and the bodies in the suitcase don't help it 🤔
Glad you survived 😁👍
The bridge is awesome.
Maybe I am a ghost.
Deeply intrigued by parrot man, maybe the poor bird got car sick.
6:36 I'll narrow it down to Theatre's/event spaces and say my favourite is the Hammersmith Apollo. Fortunate enough to have had many pleasant experiences there.
I did not think of picking a building by experiences, that is probably the best idea cool dude.
My favourite structure is the bude tunnel in bude
Will keep an eye out for it cool
Dude
I feel a poem coming on....
A most self-respecting cool dude
When met with a brisk walking mood
Could do a lot worse
Than a jolly traverse
Of the elegant tunnel of Bude
My favourite building in Bristol is my office because they have hot water and cakes
Any jobs going 😂
Another enjoyable stroll, Marek.
Thank you.
Thanks for watching cool dude
@@cdwc You're most welcome - even cooler dude.
Guten Abend, Marek! I recommend Burg Eltz.
I would love to visit all the German Fairytale castles one day cool dude
If you like castles, have you ever done Corfe to Tyneham? It’s a bit of a slog.
I think it is on the route of a future walk I have planned cool dude
@@cdwc Look forward to it.👍
Fav building/structure has to be the hardest question ever asked in CDWC. Wells Cathedral and St. Peter's Basilica are both pretty stunning, but unfortunately very much related to the disgusting pursuit of thieving lying religions. The Bodleian Library is a looker, but probably has a skeleton or two in its historical closet. I'll go for the Natural History Museum - it's architecturally stunning inside and out, it's home to wonderful artifacts (very few of them nicked from other countries), it's simultaneously interesting, engaging and educational, and it's free to get in! Nice one.
Great building choices dude
My favourite buildings are the Chrysler building in manhattan and the capitol cinema in nottingham. Spot the link…
That is the quintessential New York building cool dude
First! Bembridge Wimdmill
The Bernie Clifton Suspension Bridge, you should have done the walk riding on the back of an ostrich.
Ah I was not using the full correct name for it
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I bet I wasn't the only one waiting with toes curled and teeth gritted after the bodies-dumped-in-suitcases caption in case it was followed up with a poorly-judged comedy rejoinder. Well restrained Marek.
I am a gentleman
That walked looked nice. Leigh Woods are alleged to be a site of much paranormal activity, (if you believe in such things). Personally, I'm an open-minded sceptic.
I should have researched the woods a bit more. Although I may have been too scared to walk it.
best structure "Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge".
That would make a good painting cool dude.
Video came up on my feed as I live near the bridge - this guy used to be on impractical jokers, right??
rumour has it 2 days after you were at the bridge police found 2 pigeons in a suitcase.
Never mention this again!
Looking at an Observatory......kinda ironic
Did you not take the hands free umbrella with you?
It is too big to take unless I have got my big backpack cool dude.
Oh fun! I did a similar (though shorter - no crossing of the bridge) walk there last year. In fact, I seem to recall sending you a picture of those Mr Bump rocks at the time!
I think a top contender for my favourite building has to be Sainte Chapelle in Paris - it has a lovely colourful painted chapel downstairs, but the real treat is upstairs, which is almost all stained glass windows. Truly glorious.
I haven’t been to Paris since my French exchange back in the 80’s. I would dearly love to go back.
Why and who was playing the robo cop tune at beginning of vid.? A bit random but lovely.
I was playing it on my keyboard. I needed a short ten second bit of music.
I’ve got 6 months
Are you allowed to tell what you were filming - or is it top secret? Nice one. 👍🏻
It was just a small cameo in something, should be out next year.
When I was 24 it was the 90’s. As a woman that was okay looking there was zero chance I’d have been allowed to designed a bridge. I was barely able to walk down the street from 16-24 as it was an era where it was still okay for Men to make sexual unwanted advances or comments at me or treating me like I couldn’t turn on a computer because I was a bit blonde. Women have come a long way and I have so much more time now I’m old and grumpier and not fending off unwanted attention from Men. I could definitely design a bridge now. Whether it would stand up for long is another matter.
I used to have long blonde hair when I was 19. I used it to build a bridge.
@@cdwc actually I’ve mended a lot of bridges in my time
First!
3 1/2 hours and you only filmed for under 15 mins. Such a shame. I wish your videos were longer Marek.
I probably film about 100+ shots, and the rough cut is about twice as long. The edited version is much better than 30 minutes of me panting.
Ruby Cows exist! Definitely going to Google this more.
Favorite structure so far USA- Bishop's Castle
Favorite structure so far UK- Ightham Mote
🧳🧳
Cool choices dude. I will look up that American place.
