Great vid as always Marek. That conversation you were talking about at the beginning of your vid made me laugh. I had a similar exchange with an elderly gentleman at a bus stop a few years ago.Just before I got to the bus stop, a bus went passed. So the conversation went like this... Me:Excuse me,was that the number 8 that just went by? EG:You what love? Me:Was that the number 8 bus that I just missed? E.G Eh? Me:Was that the number 8 that just went passed? E. G:Nah love, it was the number 8.
My favorite sport is hockey. There's something about the sounds, visuals, and the smells if you can see it live. I've always loved hockey. I can watch games I have already seen repeatedly because I don't care who wins I just love watching it be played so much. I tend to support players instead of teams.
The smells of hockey? One morning in 1986 my PE teacher at secondary school, Mr Simpson (we called him Spammy behind his back) crapped his pants while playing hockey with my class. All down the back of his two stripe red tracksuit trousers and into his trainers. He said “Ooh I had a right skinful last night. Never mind lads, it’ll happen to you all one day”. He lit a fag and walked off to the showers and told us to carry on. Those were the days🤣
I used to cyle along that canal towpath to get to school . So it won't come as a surprise that Bath Rugby is my team of choice. And yes, at the games there are plenty of those pastel coloured trousers to be seen. Mustard and salmon colours tend to dominate. Love your walks but this one brought back so many memories. Next time walk up Solisbury Hill and enjoy the view from the bench up there for lunch. Loved this one.
G'day Marek, In Perth Australia a cow pat will dry to frisbee quality in about 22 minutes. (that is summer of course, could take up to 28 minutes in winter)
Lovely video, Bath is so pretty! My favorite sport to watch is snooker as I find it very relaxing. Jude is already a fan too and has his own mini snooker table and cue. His 2nd birthday cake was a snooker table and he likes Ronnie and Judd the best (I may have encouraged this...) 😂

I'm glad you made the detour up to the sham castle and the extra miles to and from the station. I've walked the Skyline a few times - given it's name, you'd certainly expect more of a view of the city!! For a greater view of Bath, I can recommend heading up Little Solsbury Hill. Up...

Nice one I went to Bath once and wasn't overly impressed. Maybe I caught it on a bad day or maybe I would like it more now. Anyway, I'm so happy you asked what my favorite sports and teams were as I love sports and teams. Favorite sports are Football (both American and football, football) and Basketball. Fav. teams are Arsenal and Sevilla in football football, The Miami Hurricanes for college sports and all the Dallas pro teams for American sports but I really keep up with the Mavericks 🏀 maybe the Cowboys if they're having a good season. Let's catch up soon!

But my parents knew I wasn't into any sports so put the vhs on to discover it was actually a po*n compilation I had made from my own dad's collection utilising 2 vhs players to play on one and record on the other. I got into more trouble from my mother. My dad not so much cos he knew that was his collection I took from and didn't grass on himself. Good times.
If you want a walk that has had some strange decisions made to get it to work, you should try the welwyn garden city centenary circular walk. It's about 20km and has some really nice scenic parts and some not so scenic. Great vid as usual
My grandmother and other Bathonians would go to the hills around Bathwick during the war and take pot shots at the luftwaffe who would approach Bath from the south.
I'm not going to get technical, but the triple jump - hop, step, (& pick up the pieces), always frightened the bejaysus out of me since I was on a first aid course and they showed a film of an athlete doing this and breaking his shin part-way through. Not nice when the broken part came through when he landed in the sand. I've since considered sand to be really dangerous. Lovely walk, Marek. Almost inspired me to push over my wheelchair and get out and do it. That's not a long jump pit, it's an escape lane on a steep hill. Eddie Floyde (Knock On Wood) is a Dallas Cowboys fan. I'm a Redskins fan, so there's a bit of rivalry there.
As a Wiganer now living in the USA, I love Rugby League (Wigan Warriors), College Football (better than the NFL Marek) Boise State, and Ice Hockey (New Jersey Devils) its RL on ice.

Hi Marek, I’m a football fan and support Leyton Orient. I remember seeing you there a few years back with a TV crew. I recall you had to sign a sing as a forfeit? Possible as part of Impractical Jokers?
Yes that was it. I had to make up a song about how I hated referees. Afterward a guy in a wheelchair repeatedly shouted the c bomb in my face for about five minutes.
I live in Moreton in Marsh and we have a spare room which the dogs would be more than happy to relinquish for an hour of attention and back rubs, Marek 😊
I feel like option c is unrealistic. No one is going to spend the rest of their days wandering. They would set up a lovely house and make the best of it. Good pigeon content in this video. I can’t wait for the moment when we see you have a turning point towards Pigeons and realise how much you love them. The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
Cowpat frisbee-ing would be a good deal more entertaining than American Football or baseball or basketball. Blimey, they are all so sleep inducing! I’ve forgotten what the question was though. Damn. Nice vid though!
Spend very long in Bath and you'll get used to peculiar conversations. My favourite sport (to watch - I don't play) is football and I'm an Arsenal fan.
For sports, although I love participating in some -- all endurance, mainly running, cycling and walking -- I have never "got" the whole supporting teams thing, or the tribalism. I envy those who care. It all goes over my head. (Some people take that as a kind of holier-than-thou signalling, but it's not, I assure you. It's more like I lack the part of the brain involved. 😮)

It is strange that everyone hated Michael Portillo, but he comes across so well in his programme. Unlike other presenters, he is actually interested in the people he is talking to (I think).
I can confirm there are indeed a lot of pigeons in Bath, though it's the seagulls that are the real menace - last year one stole a sandwich right out of my mum's hand/mouth!Re: the long jump - it's possible you were near the university, which is also up on that hill, they have a BIG sports department (quite a lot of Team GB athletes train there), though I'm not sure whether long jump is one of their specialities...
