Where are you getting the two bin files and patch from? Im a steam user so, never used gog before. Will they generate if you install the gog exe on a pc first or do those files come from someplace else?
great set up for travel if you don't have the cash for a Steam Deck, or just don't want to lug one around. Really small form-factor gaming systems like this are perfect for a flight.
Do you reckon we could get mods running on this? I would like to at the very least get some mods to improve performance. 4GB patch or something to lessen crashes
since it thinks it running on windows, i dont see why not actually i havent had any crashs myself, played for about 4x 30min periods and apart from some low fps, dipping to 10/15fps, its been pretty playable
The game works perfectly and with 30-60 fps in my case, but after like 10-15 minutes my phone starts overheating getting to more than 40 degrees, any fix?
Depends on the phone, if your phone has a vapor chamber then the phone heating up is a feature. It is wicking the heat from the processor into the metallic phone body. If it worries you so, get your hands on a gamesir 3, it has an integrated cooler on the controller (usb-c powered). Of you do not have a vapor-chamber in the phone, then definitely get the controller or a phone cooler. After the temps go to the 60s, your processor will thermal throttle and drop the clockspeed
Hey. I don't have the storage file storage folder in the Z drive. What did I not do? I clicked install wine momo installer. Do i need yo install the game files? I can still access the download folder on my fome via the D drive.
@rickstechrepairs hey! I went ahead and installed it from the D drive. Everything worked out fine. But my phone gets hot very quickly when using this application, even without playing fallout.
If you can get steam to update in the container, yes you can. In my experience steam will install but it won't be able to connect to the internet, thus won't update, thus won't allow you to log in to download.
@@rickstechrepairs I've managed to install it already. But thanks anyways. Fallout doesn't seem to run well on Winlator version 7.0 though. Installing 6.1 did the trick for me.
I have since replaced the factory screen protector, now the screen is much nicer to look at. the back of the phone is still a warzone tho.. but im only looking at the front
why snapdragon 888 is so slow I ran gta v on my s22 ultra using box 64 droid and it ran 720p low setting 22-28 fps the difference is just 1 gen
i guess there must be a fair difference with the 888 vs 8 Gen 1
Downloaded oblivion on mine and i think i now have the worlds shittiest way to play oblivion
haha fair enough
This could be great for those puzzle games, thank you!
tempted to try portal and portal 2 next
@@rickstechrepairsYou can play Porta without this

the files i downloaded are from the GOG website after i purchased the game from them
For some reason it just instantly crashes every time i click on it
damn.. what model of phone
@@rickstechrepairs s22 ultra. I played about with some settings and managed to get past the menu but now it just crashes when I start a new game 😬💔

nope, that's perfectly normal and expected
it is doing a crazy amount of processing
Ok, but this doesn't damage the phone?
@@paparozzu If it overheats it will just force shutdown before any real damage gets done

I hope phones get thicker for this exact reason. Even the newest chipset has issues with overheating.
So how do I fix the crashing every 10-20 minutes?
sadly I don't have a solution for that..
..which has killed my "want" to play it :(
@@rickstechrepairs it seems like it's an issue on pc too. Do you have the same problems with fallout 3 or no?
havent tried

not sure sorry :(

Would you be able to check if mods work or how they could be added
it would depend on the mods I would think but if it's simply dumping files in to fallout folder. I would suspect it would work
Question why does mine show a black screen
what phone model ?
@@rickstechrepairs realme 10 8ram i fixed the black screen problem but my issue is the lag

any way to get games from steam?
not sure on that one, thats why i went with the GOG version, since it is DRM free

I can't get past the .NET4.0 part, is it true it takes a very long time? I've installed fallout 3 without problems but fallout NV takes ages...
I found .net 4 took ages to install, up to about 5 minutes
did you run the file first before running the game installer ?

No way wtf... Must run great on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 devices like S23 Ultra
I would think so
Is there anyway to get the game for free instead of paying?
I would recommend buying from gog when it's on special
Where did you download Fallout New Vegas From
from gog.com
Where to get the game files
i purchased off GOG.com
Playing it 30-40 fps + on winlator 7.1 odin 2
720p high settints
nice
Bro just told us how to download an app. I was looking for how to get the actual game on android.
this is how to play the actual game on an Android device using a Windows emulation layer on Android
wow that screen protector is rough
it sure is :) the world of Foldable phone screen protectors is bad
Where i can get the game
gog.com
U really need to replace that screen protector😂
This is fallout new vegas The game will crash eventually
been playing in 30min to 1hour play sessions and yet to have a crash
I have never once had fallout New Vegas crash on any system ever.
I have Snapdragon 860
okay , see how it goes
damn thats a bad state phone and horrible design
