Two oscillator granular for $400, with an UI that is as genius as BlackBox, and huge sound quality in a size that will fit anywhere and go anywhere? 1010music does it again. Since my BlackBox purchase I have been thrilled with 1010music attention to sound quality and UI, I never expected you to build a synth...AND....you built two forms of synthesis I don't own, wavetable and granular. Maybe I missed it but could the buttons be held
for Shift functions? If not, a good firmware
update might be able to use the 4 buttons as
customizable knob controls. Like hold Home
Button + Turn Top Knob to change volume as a device needs a volume knob for be used on stage or in a session. Assigning volume is not for everyone in every situation. That should be on board!

Yea saw the wavetable post as well. Definitely could be interesting. I think 1010music is one of the most innovative gear producers on the market so whatever these are still interested in their take.

@@1010music The nanobox series seems like its taking everything y'all have learned from previous releases and putting it in a tiny form factor utilizing the button layout from the bitbox micro.
I'm betting there will be like 2 more units in this line that match bitbox and fxbox.
A toolbox and bluebox nano would be cool but I don't see them fitting in this lineup just yet because they'd both need different audio & midi I/O than what the fireball and lemondrop have while an fxbox and bitbox likely wouldn't.
The two current nanobox products are both bite sized hard candies. Fireball is spicy, Lemondrop is sour, I'd guess the next two would be a mint and a sweeter candy. Putting them all together you'd have a micro touring/recording setup you could fit in your pocket(s).
Might we see something like these or is this just purely wishful speculation?
The battery confusion: Is there a battery compartment in these synths?
There is no battery. USB powered with included cable.
My only question: will this take dry guitar signal through 1/4”?
You can connect any audio source to the Line Input. Depending on the source, you may need outboard gear (preamp, DI, etc).
Missed opportunity to match the black/bluebox form factor. I would have bought a yellowbox or a redbox, but I dunno about these, the symmetry is gone.

The synths seem cool, but the video seems deranged. A guy who looks like he made money off "crypto" is now into making weird, digital, soundtrack tunes, and he has enough cash that the producer he hired just nods his head along as if there's a groove.
