Awesome, thank you! I've been wondering about the capabilities of it without a controller keyboard, like if I wanted to throw it in the backpack and mess around. This is super helpful! Nobody else seems to show the onboard keyboard, all just use with an external.
I ordered my lemondrop today. Won’t get it till Monday :/. I will be using it alongside the blackbox, op-1, digitakt, Mc-101, nts-1 digital and a neotrellis. Can’t wait till July for the M8 dirtywave
this thing is very cool i want one. not at this price tho. one thing i think would be an improvement is, in the X,Y macro screen, if there was a tiny colored dot to show you where the current value(s) are at. Also it would be cool if it had two modes in the X,Y macro screen. One being like a "spring loaded" version, where you can drag the params around, and when you let got it snaps back to where it was before, and a mode where it remembers where the params were before you touch it. Such a cool box. I wonder if it can be controlled from a teenage engineering ep-133 O.K.II ... (using a 1/8 inch midi cable)
technically, this could be a mobile sample sequencer, that has an sd card. The magic is you get some fc but full sample and pattern storage via sd so its almost a po33/133 but with storage
Sort of. It doesn't have a full sequencer set up, the one it has only works within a patch itself and it's rudimentary at best. The Razz is closer to that but can't currently sequence off board devices. If they add that, it will be immense, because the sequencer on it is ingenious and really easy to use given how tiny the thing is.
@@ukbloke28 I had one but I sold it. I liked the product but was dumbfounded it could not do midi over usb, power by usb from computer or sample transfer by usb. In 2023. I found that a real inconvenience but some others might not. Really one wants to run everything from the computer nowadays from one cable.
@@axs203 I regularly power mine from the usb on my laptop, not sure why you hd a prob with that. I agree sample transfer straight over the usb would be a little quicker. they do really good updates, im hoping they will add it. a lot of people specifically dont want to run things from the computer, hence the whole dawless concept that the lemondrop is part of. im not sure what the point of having the lemondop is if you prefer to work on the computer anyway - there are tons of granular apps there for much lower cost?
@@ukbloke28 It wasn't that I wanted to run it from the computer as such but I wanted it on my desk and just one cable coming from it. As it was I found it a right hassle. I do like their products but I found it a bit fiddly. In the end I used a VST. Having said that I did enjoy fiddling around with the Lemondrop. I like the look of the Razzmatazz as well. Just found the limitations annoying.
@@adamd3820 Awesome! thanks. Its interesting as most eurorack devices , pedals, and hardware like this, all run similar mobile chipsets inside them. I suppose it all boils down to workflow and aesthetics ...
Nice breakdown Fess! I thought I wanted the Fireball, but pretty sure I want the lemon drop more after watching your review.
I returned the Fireball for this one. Still waiting for delivery. :)
@M Edward Borasky I'll probably pick up the Fireball again soon. I just can't really afford it right now. I do like it a lot too.
Great breakdown, this looks amazing. Not many granular synths out there, and this one looks like a great balance between features and cost. Nice!

You're an awesome teacher, and I appreciate the diversity of samples you chose to work with.

Thanks for this video! Can you import audio via USB, or only the line in? Thanks!
Great video
Does It Available In Amazon Or Flipkart? Because I Can Buy Only From This Platform From India 💞

When on reverb?
Is it ok to run modular level mono in like this seems scary?
Could we use fireball as effects processor as lemondrop? Thank you
F* good peace of Gear.... all i wanted in a small box...
I think I like it alot
Is there some sort of stylus we could use with the screen? I have massive Shrek hands
Yes
So you can use granular on music coming in from a live feed? I hope so because thats the reason no one wants a GR-1
GR-1 can, just needs to be fed via USB audio.
that and the price tag.
Yes you can. It's amazing.
It looks like it does one thing and does it well. It’s cute. That screen looks a bit too small to me. Hmmm
It is small but the interface design is excellent and it's only a problem for me when I type filenames ( I have big fingers)

At first i heard tencent music and was ready to hate the crap out of thet product, but it sounds awesome!
What does it do????
Search for "Granular Synthesis" it's more easily explained by a video
Sweet Look. Cant see a hype there. No-sense Sound, imho
Quoting someone else here "its like an iphone with 1 app"
Which app?

A $1200 iPhone? Makes this a bargain!

This is worth $400? What is wrong with people?
Inflation makes it all go up in price.
Why so stingy!?
people pay that for guitar pedals that do less all damn day
