You win some, you lose some, but the most important thing is to never give up your goals if you believe in them. I've seen multiple very successful Lugia Players like you didn't made it into Day 2 since that much Thorns, Temple of sinnoh and Spiritomb were flyin around in that Tournament. I would even maybe include a Flutter Mane for a better Thorns Matchup because it seems to be very popular at the moment. Just shake it off and good Luck at your next Tournaments!
I myself have been trying Lugia and it feels weird. When it works, it works amazingly well but when it bricks, you can't save it and you scoop. I've been trying cutting out all the RNG cards like Mezagoza, Great Ball, and Capturing Aroma substituting them with 4 Nest Ball and 4 Trekking Shoes to try and get more consistency out of it. Hopefully, it'll work out in the local event I'll be playing at later today.
I don’t work when I leave the country, but when I do travel in country I’ll bring my laptop and work my traditional 9-5. Just kind of work from my hotel room, and when I’m pushing code and stuff I just test with friends
Lugia did pretty poorly across the board at Gdansk. Not sure if it was just more Quad Thorns, a bigger target after good results, or something else. Good luck at your next tourney!
