I love reviewing these products, collecting them, and using them in film production. So to that end, I have merged most of these entities together to create this channel. However, my more professional movie-making ventures are not featured here and remain separate.
I do not have the room/space to do long-range accuracy tests. Until I can secure a larger space, what you see in my videos is all I can offer for now. As someone who lives in a country that Airsoft is banned in(Australia), I started out modding NERF blasters. My best blaster was a flywheel powered modulus pushing +200 fps. I got into gelsoft and was enjoying the sport until our state government decided to ban them, this dart blaster has internal upgrade potential so I'm looking at modding one. Love your work Airsoft Mike & will keep watching your UA-cam channel. PS, I'm 57 years old and enjoy my hobbies like gelsoft and NERF

I know this is 7 months ago, but you can buy the shells that allow it to shoot gel balls. But I don't know the performance though, I assume it's okay-ish.

If not for the very vibrant colors, I really like the shell ejecting action and obviously the style, one of my favorites shotguns. I really wish that in the future some airsoft manufacturers will put out a nice and affordable shell ejecting shotgun that doesn’t brake the bank for me, even more cool would be a semiautomatic shell ejecting affordable shotgun because the ones that are on the market right now basically costs a liver. By the way mike, I hope you make more views on the second channel, I love it and obviously love this one, you deserve more views, for me your content is really well done and entertaining.

it actually comes in black though, but its up to customs to stop it form shipping to you
There's a black version and with gel blaster shells which shoots farther because the projectile is lighter
I think you should do a review in some of the high powered(mostly springers) blasters since there are some blasters that are as powerful as airsoft
I have one of these and I hardly shoot it I will just sit at my desk watching a movie or video and just load and unload the thing for hours its just such a great fidget toy XD I recently ordered a K98 style one online thats gonna be another great fidget toy XD

I go to a LARP event where we use nerf guns and larp swords. Quite a few people equip stronger springs to make the dart go further so it's not a problem if the fps is bad at least our guns will look more like the real thing
The thing is actually getting more popular day by day
if you like this thing you should check out the spring thunder, its a 3d printed blaster that functions just like a shotgun and will fire anything you can put in a shell. mega darts "slugs", rival "buckshot" short dart "birdshot", you name it. also it can hit twice as hard is this thing.
If this mean that can be interchangeable attachement between this "Nerf" and one Airsoft? That will be cool...
What about a new spring to make it more powerful: can you do that?
You can change the spring on spring powered nerf blasters pretty easily.

I do hope not. It was the do-it-yourself aspect of turning a toy into performance blaster that got me into NERF in the first place.

I used to shoot Nerf blasters before I was an Airsofter.
Funny thing in Australia certain states require fire arms license for nerf guns. And gel blaster and airsoft are still illegal

You can put 50 caliber foam paint balls in the shells and make buckshot
I remember that Australia is unable to play airsoft due to restriction, and the Gel-blaster would be famous in there.

Nerf's hyper line claims to shoot the little golf balls at 110 fps. And the rival line claims 90 fps with the bigger golf balls. But the dart blasters don't have a stated fps. Some have claimed distances, but I take all stated number with a grain of salt. Some of the golf ball blasters to look pretty cool though. There is a new rival shotgun that actually looks realish and cool

You should get hold of the Milsig M79 nerf launcher it's beast.
The one thing I like about this vs nerf is the size of the projectile, it better mimics actual projectiles.
They have a lever action shotgun as well and someone has converted it to shoot pps shells already!

Nerf is definitely getting pretty damn cool i give it that much... but never in its bestestest moments will it ever replace or take over airsoft lol even if they do create aeg nerfs or more functional gas blow back nerfs.... but THIS ONE IS PRETTY AWESOME AND IT ACTUALLY LOOKS "GOOOORGEOUSSS!"

XYL M870 is better in term of quality and performance since it can use gel balls (orbeez) too

Mike, you need to check out the Monkeemods/Colonel Wasp Firefly. I'm just doing a video on it now. 200+ FPS, shell ejecting short dart firing animal with picatinny rails and so many upgrade parts it's almost ridiculous. It's accurate enough with a SCAR barrel to hit targets from over 30 metres out. Failing that, the Worker Swift is another option, mine runs over 320 fps across the chrono with the 1.8 spring and 550mm barrel. Trust, they could replace airsoft, I actually run mine in CQB. Haha.

I still remember my shock in 1998 when I first came across an Airsoft store in Hong Kong, with its shop window filled with military weapons and pistols of every variety. How can these products be sold so openly? I entered the shop and learned the secret. To me, the close resemblance and behaviour of Airsoft weapons to the real steel is all that counts. This piece of NERF belongs in the toy section of a department store. Sorry - I have zero interest in it, even if Airsoft was banned outright
Theres another one, UDL Winchester M1887. its way better and looks cooler (has a black and wood color) i have one and its really awesome the reason why i bought it is because airsoft is way more expensive here

Now that depends what country you are in, so you can only speak for your own. Some countries have banned airsoft already.

I'm surprised you got this, I tried looking all over for this, I just assumed it wasnt available in the UK
ive had no trouble ordering from csnoobs and getting the realistic colours imported to the UK
they should make this without the shells. just make the nerf darts a little harder so they stay in shape when directly feeding them into the gun

no, they feed from shells, 3 bbs at a time and use spring as power. Gas ones are different in function

Real nerf is very modification oriented.
Competitive blasters are around 100 to even 200 fps. There's several big brands that make stock blasters, with dart zone being one of the best right now. 3d printing is a huge part of the hobby and you can make some insane stuff completely custom.
This particular Chinese knockoff, however, is useless for anything except looks and holding.

In some ways it is in others it is not. Realism will always be something most nerfers will stray from. In blasters, game play, etc. Playing in public parks will always be a plus. And I've always been into colorful and interesting designs for blasters. The modding and painting aspects are fun too.
I've always been into FPS games like Borderlands rather than Call of Duty. That's a good analogy for Nerf and air soft.
And where they meet in the middle would be something like Fallout lol.
With UK laws regulating airsoft it wouldn't surprise me if Nerf guns shoot harder
i gotta say, these new chinese made dart blasters are quality products, and now we're starting to see stuff like shell ejecting quasar laser models coming out. but no way will it replace airsoft, i dont think airsofters will see anything they prefer with a nerf

China started the gelsoft genre (basically airsoft but you shoot orbeez). Lower FPS, lower accuracy, lower range and mostly plastic/nylon/polymer construction, a few metal bits here and there. The first gen shoots gel (or orbeez), terrible performance. After China put a ban on real steel replicas of gel blasters, the company changed the colour scheme to be more "friendly". Performance still terrible, people mostly buy em for cosplay. Other than that, is it going to replace airsoft? Nah. Is it good for backyard plinking/cosplaying? Yes
