And Budgie is one hell of a percussionist. I wonder how many different tracks/instruments he laid down himself on this... I count at least 3, but I wold be there are more.
First time I saw this was at a night club in 1983 where they had a huge video screen at one end of the dance floor. We were simply blown away! The same with the Herbie Hancock 'Rockit' video!
@@MrMarcy76 '84 just shaded it for me but strictly from a personal point of view. Spent most of the summer on the coasts with mates and assorted girls 😂
She looks divine, as always, but I love the effortless vocals when performing a song that was far out of her usual ground. I guess this shocked many people at the time.
I'e LOVED this s (and The Creatures, AND Siouxsie & The Banshees, AND... 😉) for...a LONG time, but, 'right now' Is the FIRST time I've seen this video. It's funny, because the video I had Imagined Is quite similar to the real one.
The Creatures, nee Siouxsie & The Banshees. Love this track, it sounds really Sixties, even when it was released in 1983. Don't remember hearing it when it was out but it did get into the charts. Only remember hear it on Simon Bates's Golden Hour.
I always wonder what country did the ZBanshees visit that gave her the neck and head turning visual ideas . Is it Arabic or indian . The first time u see a Banshees or Creatures video it just blows your mind . Culturally in 93 it was rare to hear purely percussion music and so little harmony instruments it reminds me of when royal came out . It crystallised the time because it just sounded so different !
Siouxsie has an incredible voice.

I had the single when it came out, played it to death. Awesome.

Summer 1983 for me personally has the best selection of music, especially July and August that year.
@@MrMarcy76 Absolutely loved that summer
@@glenjarnold 84 comes close, but 84 could tie 83's shoelaces.
couldn't tie i mean lol

Just wanted to share that Heklina from San Francisco introduced me to this song and I loved it ever since. She passed away 4/3/23.
I had only seen this video once on MTV's 120 minutes hosted by Iggy Pop back in 1993. So glad to see it again.
I love this

This video is so suppressed for whatever reason. Been looking for this for a very long time. Thank you for the upload of my past life.

It's a cover of a Mel Torme song!
Extraño tanto a esta mujer ya no encuentro sorpresas como ésta
Stunning beautiful talent beyond measure a goddess
I was 16 and I was dancing on top of a massive speaker !
I remember buying this single from boots in Burnley in the early 80s. Mel Torme wrote this I believe.
This track is so cool
❤❤❤❤
Fantastic
I cant believe I only just learned this *is* a Jazz cover. Herbie Mann. Siouxsie just put lyrics to it.
Siouxsie didn't put the lyrics to it, just UA-cam, Right Now, Mel Tormé (1966)
