Nike Alphafly 3 VS Saucony Endorphin ELITE Comparison Review - welcome back to another video and today I am showcasing a comparison review between the nike alphafly 3 and the saucony endorphin elite. This is a comparison i've wanted to make since getting the nike alphafly 3, however sadly, things didn't quite go to plan!

I returned my AlphaFly's 3 and got another pair of Endorphin Elites.
I can't wait for the elite 2 to rock up.... Mainly so I can get the v1 at a discount 😊
The elite 2 images I’ve seen look exciting!
It's funny because while you have recorded a difference of 1 sec (per km) amongst the reps, when I've compared the Nike Alphafly v.1 with the Saucony Pro 3, they recorded exactly the same time.
1 sec of difference is negligible as it may be affected by a lot of variables when you run on the road. Of course, video is available on my channel.
I like both but my next marathon would probably elite. I have not tried the elite in the marathon yet. My elite was there since last year but the alphafly 1 was my favorite before.

Treadmill for these types of comparisons, control as much as you can. Stryd footpod would also provide a ton of extra data (plus is an amazing replacement for GPS *wink*), but you have to take the metric data with a grain of salt between shoes. But are great for monitoring your response to each shoe overtime. No way I'd ever have negative split my last marathon by nearly 2mins without it. Over 3yrs using Stryd, and I find it's true power now (for me) is race plan execution on ANY course in ANY weather.
This is what I am increasingly finding comparing two or more "similar" shoes like this - there is very little, if any, difference in the performance metrics and it comes down more to just which you prefer to wear and perhaps also how they might feel after a long time on feet if say you wanted a marathon shoe and not necessarily just one for mile reps or 5Ks etc etc. I was also struck that despite us taking the same shoe size and being more or less the same height that your cadence is about 20 spm less than I would be doing these paces even if they are relatively somewhat harder for me these days. I wonder if that is partly why you perhaps like both of these shoes a bit more than I do. Based on usage so far I would opt for the Elite out of these two but it wouldn't be first choice to race in - which still remains the Vaporfly 1.
With equal pace and cadence the stride lengths should be equal mathematically. I think these 2K repeats are useful to get an idea but tells little on fatigue prevention for long races. Looking at your running you seem to be a bit more stable on Endorphin Elite and it is the lighter shoe so I expect they would make a difference but then again the pods on Alphafly seems to remain consistent on a longer race than foams only shoes so on a long run they might work better. It is really hard to judge these long run issues on short interval testing.
I ran my last marathon on Prime X OG and it was great but stability issues finally showed up in the last 5k when my muscles were tired of compensating. Before the race I had very good runs of up to 20 miles.
