I MUST SAY AS A PERSONAL FRIEND OF FRANKIE'S AND HAS BEEN AROUND FOR MANY A YEAR, I CLOSE MY EYES AND FLASH BACK TO SOOO MANY MEMORIES,..................... MY HAT TIPPED YO YOU.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He must have been a wonderful person. Thanks to him, many of us were Dj's when we playedthe music with Technics. All my respects to the father of House Music.
He was a beautiful person. If you met Frankie, he would greet you with a handshake, but he would say goodbye with a hug. He was a friend to many of us Chicago DJs. Just found this video and it took me way back.
My god this a good cover... they've really captured the feeling of the original and added a but more edge to it with it being a live rock band. Tha backing singers are bang on too.
@@lewis72 That is true unfortunately. I would say 99% of people think Frankie was the creator of the song. But I must admit that I personally like the original Jamie Principle version on Persona Records more than the Frankie Knuckles version on Trax Records. But I would have loved to hear the original version that Jamie did on the tape.
Secondo me...questa cover di your love degli Horrors, è semplicemente fantastica,nn era semplice fare la cover di una hit mondiale..del panorama dance!!!Frankie ... sarà sicuramente applaudendo dall' olimpo dei cieli!!!!
@@treakditty it is indeed possible. I know Jaime Principle released Your Love in 1984 and some house historians believe that song to be the first, but On and On is also from 1984 as well so depending on the month that it was released...
I met Frankie Knuckles when he would come to Virgin records Chicago for imports when I worked there, I would show him weird shit I was into, he actually invited me to Europe with him I was super flattered but a straight kid. I've always been a fan of the Horrors (Sea within a Sea is my jam) This for me is fantastic

Perfect cover of this masterpiece

Hands down one of the best covers I've ever seen
Almost perfect cover. I didn't know what to expect before watching, then I watched. Now I'm happy.
Well done for not murdering a classic. Never heard of the band but I have to compliment them on a surprisingly good live version.
It's an excellent tribute to Frankie Knuckles, isn't it ?
@@lewis72Yeah, except for the singer...
@@lewis72 True. But it was actually a Jamie Principle song

I did know but the version that is mostly known was the re-jigged version by Frankie Knuckles.

Smashed this they did not an easy thing to do RIP Frankie 🙏❤️🙏
It had to be a British band. They nailed it.
they did thank you sexy britts :)
A neo-shoegaze band covering an acid house song, and it works
it was not acid house. This song is considered to be the first House song ever.

I hope the Horrors play as well or even better 20 years from now. .
I think I have experienced serious eargasm, tbh.
"En honor al maestro Frankie Knukles ". Exelente cover!! 🎶🎶
Best live show ~ 2018! Wonderland Ballroom, Portland.
Energy was incredible. ❤

The track was actually written by Jaimie Principle Frankie knuckles re released it
OMG… woooooops~~❤❤❤❤
This is amazing!!!!
thank you for ,this tribute to Frankie, and Jamie chicago house music all life long
the best Frankie cover to date
Jamie Principle not Frankie Knuckles
...Technically a 'jamie Principle' cover as he wrote and sang the original - Frankie Knuckles (RIP) was the producer
Please don't forget the work DJ Mark "Hot Rod" Trollan did on the track.
Nice cover. I went to see their show three days ago. Sadly they don’t play this song.😢
E' sempre bello ascoltarla, in qualsiasi momento della tua vita.......
Confermo a pieno ....👍
Se sale la versión. Simplemente espectacular!!! Congratulations!
What happened to The Horrors.. it's 2024 and they have just vanished.

If interpol had a baby with a flock of seagulls you would get The horrors. Great cover.
Hahahahaha brilliant 👏
Very interesting choice of song to cover. Didn't know the original before I heard this. I love what they have done with it.

This is what the Candi Staton track used for backing.
Really surprised it's actually quite good with the exception of the drums.
I think that the drums are excellent.
The original, I think, just uses synth.
