Don’t be fooled into thinking that these small shop owners are all poor. There is a lot of business & costs/rents/taxes much less than the West so small vendors can and do make a lot of money too.

Ellis if you like rose, you can get a (jam e shirin) or (rooh afza) bottle which is usually used in subcontinent as rose syrup you can make it in water or milk as you like and if you make it in water dont forget to add some lime into it, its quite refreshing! These bottles are a staple of a desi home
I echo this, my reasoning being that all the racism i see and hear in the uk against muslims or just people who are brown, especially on social media, then you see people like you who are absolutely amazing human beings. It is beautiful to see 👍🏼.

Oh here, I could fair go a biriyani now. I even checked the closest Pakistani or even an Indian restaurant. A two hour drive to Pattaya or three hours to Bangkok. I'm going have to settle for a microwave chicken madras I've got in the freezer. Beggars cant be choosers. I'm enjoying the Pakistan vlogs and how it shows how nice the people are.

Fried onions, yoghurt, salt, pepper, chilies, lemon, tomatoes, aromatic herbs like cilantro or parsley and some mint. Basil would work as well. Marinate the meat, and use it to cook a thick rich yoghurt based stew. Half cook rice in a gigantic pot with excess amount of salty water and various aromatics and spices like bayleaves and cloves etc so that the starch washes out. Basmati, Jasmine or some other long grain is great, but you can use whatever you have. Pakistanis prefer using basmati. Drain the rice. Alternate layers of rice and meat. Seal the pot best you can and let it sit on a very very very low indirect flame for 45 minutes or till rice is completely tender.
