I’m sure it will be fine Greg. As long as your sponsorships are declared and you are still giving independent opinions everyone will support you. Plenty of well respect channels do this.
Of course it is time consuming to transfer your real world knowledge and experiences onto a screen experience to share with other people. That's why I have been happy to support your work. If you can find sponsors who will accept your terms that is great, and you should do it. I like the "real world" buzz line, also "everyday Aussies". I also agree with another comment made below that the headline name of the show is a bit long - how about something a bit snappier, like EVs for Aussies? Unless already taken, of course, I have no idea.
Thanks for watching and your long time Support, really appreciated. Great comments and suggestions so will throw them in the mix when working through. Cheers.
I wish you all the best and absolutely think you deserve to get some sponsorship. I follow a lot of music theory and guitar gear channels, and several do this really well - sponsored/paid content that remain unbiased reviews. If you're interested in seeing vids on monetised channels doing it well, I can make some suggestions. Good luck!
David Bennett does music theory videos sponsored by piano learning software. He takes a break from his video to do a scripted voiceover promotion of the software, so the viewer can skip it - it's just part of the video. I don't find them intrusive. I'm guessing that'd be your model. Because his videos are informative and interesting, and the sponsored spot is tightly scripted and relevant, I usually don't interrupt what I'm doing to skip the spot, as opposed to YT ads inserted into videos where I immediately hit mute and hang out for the "skip ads" option to appear. For paid product reviews that retain the reviewer's independent opinion, Brett Kingman and Shane at intheblues do it well, imo. They're more like that one you did recently of that app. There is another guy who does mostly product reviews, eytschpi42. He's happy to be brutally honest. His vids are long, though, so you might get bored if you're not into guitars and gear. But he comes across as clearly unbiased despite being paid. He also has a gimmick at the end of his vids - animals at the end - which is charming. Good luck!
Firstly, I'd like to say that I am very happy to see an Australia EV channel - being Aussie myself. I have some thoughts on your channel name. It both sound too long. Firstly, are you just an EV channel or do you consider reviewing hybrids as well. That's something to think about. Secondly, everyone knows SUV and, now, hopefully, EV, so I'd just abbreviate. Next, I think the Australian vehicle landscape is about to look very different from the rest. Our gov wants cheap EV's for us, but they don't drive them. China's the only place that cheap EV's will coming from. I really found amusement watching the Russian car market after sanctions - see link below. My point is that your channel will inherently be different, and you will carve out your own market. You have probably heard of The Late Brake Show formally called CarPervert. I objected to the both names in Jonny's comments. However, due to his skill, likability, down-to-earth nature, and entertaining content he succeeded. In other words, you can call your channel whatever you want. My guess is that international viewers will know your Aussie by driving a MG. They are just not the car of choice overseas, in my opinion. However, in Australia, that's probably the only affordable EV. Here is a thought, it could be rubbish though. Given you will always be behind on the latest car reviews given cars are released overseas and transport delays, what about calling the channel Alternatives to ICE? You could then receive and review scooters, bicycles and even planes etc. I didn't think about sponsors, though, but charging sponsors could still work. My goal is the reduce emissions and cost of transport. But, your passion might be different. I'm not sure. I would review your passion and go from there. My realisation after making a few videos is that product reviews get views. Whereas my personal opinion on un-trend-worthy topics doesn't. For example, it's hard to imagine getting lots of views reviewing an unheard of EV charger. However, reviewing the benefits of a Tesla charger when trending, could get hits. I know scooters are a controversial topic at the moment. Anyway, I glad to watch your videos. My best video was the MG key fob. ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=russia+chinese+cars www.better.bike
Fuck buying an electric car in Australia. No government grants for Victorians. Insurance companies charging a third more to insure Tesla's than all the other POS ecars sold here, even more expensive models with lesser accicdent avoidance technology. Any other country I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
This is a great idea. Keep it genuine and I’m sure most people will respect it.
Thank you! Will do!

Thanks Simon, appreciate the support and comment.

Thanks for watching and the encouraging comments. Yes would be keen for some ideas/examples as not easy getting Sponsors either 😆

Hi Timmy, thanks for such a detailed comment and suggestions. I will throw these in the mix when deciding the future. Cheers
