I have been using the Otto Cast U2 Air Pro for a few days on my EV6 and it connected up very quickly (you need to establish a Bluetooth connection to the unit) and it does everything else very seamlessly. Got it on Amazon during Prime Day for $84 but it’s regularly that price from what I can tell outside Prime Day. This unit just does the regular Car Play / Android Auto functions (no Netflix etc) but it connects VERY quickly.
Otto Cast do have several units including a video streaming one, but as a driver I wasn’t interested in those. From what I can see it works so well you forget it’s there. 👍

    Nice video and setup!
I have tried a slightly cheaper option (20$ adapter, from brand Hikity) on my 2023 ZS EV and its not good... often it goes into a black screen and sometimes it doesn't connect with the smartphone.

Would love a follow up on this in a little while, I had a similar unit year or so ago and was plagued with drop outs and the like, this one is 3 times the price I paid however if it has a good stable connection would be worth it TIA

I am having trouble on a 22 ZS EV, won’t take over the display so can’t seem to get past step one. Have dropped them an email. Lack of lights that are easy to see is an issue, hard to know what it is doing. Can see if you look through the usb a port some lights.

Second Gen ZS might be different, no probs on my 1st Gen. Hope they come back with a solution. Let us know. Yes the lack of clear indicating lights is a pain.

@@ElectricCarAustralia I now suspect the usb port is not powered enough. Seems it only puts out .5 A not the required 1. Got a splitter cable coming to use a couple of ports. Very frustrating.

@@ElectricCarAustralia here is their response after looking into it “Thank you for your patience! We're sorry to inform you that the product is not compatible with the MG ZS EV 2022. The reason for this is likely because the vehicle is an electric car. We support returns and refunds. We apologize for any inconvenience caused!”

Hi Greg! Love to see some new gadgets for the car
Question for you concerning maintenance. I recently had a 72000km service done and they replaced the gear oil in the transfer case, saying the manufacturer requires it to be changed after 80000km, and it was done early to prevent another trip to the service. Did MG service do this on your car?

Hi Great to hear from you and thanks for watching. Gearbox oil change at 80k sounds about right. Bit cheeky to do it at 72k though. I havent got that mileage on mine yet so haven't had it done. Cheers
