Here in the USA, the closest I've come to seeing an Ed Kuepper show was when he did a stint as a Bad Seed a few years back. This song (the studio version) was my intro to his music and I've been a fan ever since.
The most underrated artist anywhere. Though maybe there is intelligent life out there and there's an entire galaxy of Ed-worshippping super-organisms massing their forces in readiness for Operation Sort-This-Crap-Storm-Out. Step 1 - Put Ed in charge.
Love how they just jam around a really simple guitar riff and go to town on it. The song feels like an electrical storm. To me they are kinda like Crazy Horse. Good headspace music. Loud and gritty, but full of feel.
Probably one of the best australia musician artists ever particularly when performing with Rebecca cooper and band his earlier songs like Burned my Fingers etc such a distinct sound
This was the song that got me hooked on his music. It was the live at the wireless triple j cd (remember those?) where I heard Ed Been hooked ever since.
The underlying harmonies and cacophonies this man, The Laughing Clowns and The Birthday Party raised go beyond valient and praised and into something that is not a holdin'.
It's 1979 . Cat and l breakfast , downcast under a Murdochracy . Cat puts 12 inch single on turntable . Am happy again . Wave good bye , upon my way to work .

I remember seeing Ed, with the Yard goes on Forever, at the Kardomah Cafe in the The Cross sometime in the 80s.
Great gig at a great Venue.
Oh I miss the Kardomah Cafe. I Saw Ed there too, The Reels, The Models and many other great bands. 😊
probably the most underrated artist in Australia.
Rated highly by all who know.

It were always a privilege to be in attendance at one of Mr.Kuepper's performances, never more so now here an encore costs none more than a glance.
ED!!! Our national treasure. Love his live gigs ...5 so far for me, and each one outdoing the last...So good! Recent album releases are brilliant too
Ed Kuepper - nothing short of brilliant ! I'd love some more !
An undisputed indie Aussie classic..takes on the power of a 747 take-off live!

Blown away by this. Near tears.

Was a fine performance indeed..it is his best song live amongst a fair few others if you don't mind..
My favourite song of all time by Ed. The power is awesome.
Great recording! Thnx.🔥🔥🔥
Aints - Stockholm, epic concert! (a long time ago at Gino...)
wow !! like a genius...

Superb! Best version I've ever heard!
Saint Ed - no pun intended. Can't believe it's 25 years since this song came out and he's still just as good as ever.
the master at work what happened to the blue coat ed it was a beauty!!
Saw Ed Kuepper perform this at the Livid Festival in 1993, followed by Beasts of Bourbon. We were spoiled for choice back then...
Don't miss Ed Kuepper perform live at Brisbane Festival as part of the 4ZZZ Flashback showcase - The Spiegeltent, 20th Sept., 2015.
