I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?

They keep sitting in their ignorance bubble and don't seem to want to come out no matter how hard you try to explain it to them. Avoid these types of people is my advice :)

But hey, I'm just making a prejudicial statement here based on very little information, so how do I really know? Just like if I just watched one video of a person and drew all my conclusions from that. I'm sure if I gained more information about you, you would prove me wrong, in the same way as if you gained more information about her by taking the time to explore more of her "metal reactions", you would prove yourself wrong.
It's really way much easier to just jump to conclusions based on one's own prejudice and tendency to categorize and stereotype people though, isn't it?

2. No, he doesn’t have any effects added in post
The vocals are layered in parts on the studio version. But obviously he's still absolutely fucking maniacally good at these growls, and does them easily live. He is adamant he doesn't pitch shift.
I would also assume the drummer uses triggers to "enhance" dynamics, but he's still playing that fast and it doesn't take anything away from his technique or the music.

@@drumboarder1 Not sure if you're confused or not by what he's doing but just incase to clear any confusion he's using a technique known as (heel - toe) which in lamens terms he's pretty much doing double strokes with his feet
@@drumboarder1 their new drummer switches between singles and doubles most of the time. Like in the breakdown the first two notes of the four are doubles but the second two are singles. And I don’t think the kick is triggered but I know the snare and Tom’s are. If you watch his play through he uses giant beaters with the dominator pedals which have INSANE power

my favorite thing about extreme metal is that people's reaction to it is so visceral. It makes you feel things you normally don't. intense things! I just signed up for your 7 day vocal blast and will possibly pay for some lessons. I'm the singer in a classic rock cover band and jumping from singing Bad Company to Journey to Bon Jovi definitely has it's challenges lol I really need to properly extend my high range so I'm not pushing from my throat.

@@alexgrab3086 It's possible, but only the top tier deathcore drummers can. David Diepold and Alex Risinger, and Chris Turner come to mind. With double stroke techniques are what make that speed possible.

She wasn't ready. Neither was I the first time I heard this band.
5:51 It`s just combination of high scream and low scream. Recorded and combined in the mix. Basically it`s a scream harmonic. No effects. You can achieve it by making one singer scream a high note and the other singer scream or growl a low note. Pretty common thing in this genre. Oh and genre is called DeathCore.

"no effect" is a little wrong while there are of course plenty of effects on the vocals. Like in any genre today.
Max but it’s completely minimal in metal, maybe some reverb or slight delay, but nothing like the moderation in other genres lol
Yeah theres no distortion or anything here, watch his videos on his channel, sheer immense vocal strength...
I promise you that is real drumming. Extreme metal musicians are extremely underrated and are easily some of the most talented musicians on the planet.

I know this is a odd genre for a lot of people but Alex terrible is arguably the best vocalist in deathcore genre. The part before the breakdown is in Russian it’s very loosely translated to

Alex Terrible is an absolute beast when it comes to guttural vocals.. no effects are used on his vocals he's the best in the genre... his you tube channel has his covers if all types of songs..

Rebecca, you seem like you feel deceived - and sort of embarrassed as well. And in some way you actually were kind of "deceived", because you could not have known how this song would turn out and acutally, this is totally not what you usually deal with. However, I was really surprised when you described how these vocals work, how to "make" these vocals properly and healthily without hurting yourself, despite this is totally not you cup of tea, so huge high-five for that! And also for "enduring" this :-)
At 4:10 you've seen a "wall of death": the band separates the crowd into 2, and when the brutal part of the music starts, the 2 sides go against each other and they do some moshing (some kind of agressive "dancing" where you kick and hit the others, like a mass brawl). This is also not you style, but it actually has its beauty.
Wow, I didn't think you'd actually react to these guys when I commented about them. Awesome. Alex is incredible. Definitely one of the best.

You're hilarious lol. I can do this style of vocals for at least 4 hours straight, as I have before... so yes it is quite sustainable. I've done it for that length of time for about 2 years straight almost, because I was in a band too.
