After playing serial times, I know some practical strategies and tips to get u to survive: 1. Always start at 1-star difficulty instead of 3-stars recommended difficulty if you are not experienced in this game. It always add one extra spell u choose (choose the one with most titles u can hit on enemy) (but except first 3 missions) and 2 gems at start. Together with the starting gems, you will be so rich to buy many towers. So, u build one half which are already in use and upgarde another half for portals. Or, you switch side upgrading them to balance to level of each tower. 2. Do not use your tower to attack the portal immediately after it spawns. Wait until it reaches the end of road right, just right before your exit. At that time, launch the massive attack at once with minimum towers to be destroyed by the portal. 3. Always place troop tower at the last decision to kill off some 1 square for which other towers are hardly covered. 4. Use gem to buy many level 1 towers as u can and keep upgrading them for portal at start until it reaches right before your exit. 5. For the last portal, you can buy 2 lv towers directly. 6. Beside some special mission, most of the target are destroying all portals. Your strategy is wrong if u always wish to destory all the hordes (and when it comes out). It's nearly impossible to win. Hordes are the only way for your team to buy towers to defend against Portal. 7. I know it will be in high pressure if it's full of enemy and one is closing at the exit right next to it. But it is how the game works if you want to turn the table around to win the game! 8. When the hero is on your hero board, you can treat it as it is just standing at the exit bar there.

The first attack to portal I was like use Malik! Malikkkkk hahaha but then you said that important step that take always your card to keep record if you used it. Thanks for the tutorial I'm ready to start this campaign !
When he first red wave spawned (with a yellow one), did you forget you could use malik as he had rested the turn before and he could take out 8 tiles on the red wave? (edit:you realised afterwards, oops sorry). As mentioned previously best explanation for solo mode, shame I didn't find it before I played as it clarified everything I was unsure of. The few things I was unsure on from the rules and videos: 1) How the hero bench worked, it says up to three heroes in the rules which isn't clear if that means you get less on specific rounds. 2) The first portal only having deadly enemies made me a little hesitant on further portals if I could use soldiers on them, thanks for the clarification. 3) One thing I did NOT know, was that the wizard tile can be flipped! I thought you could but couldn't find it in the rules or must have missed it, so I was only allowing rotation for that specific shape.
If I dont get into the kickstarter how can I get the game I am from México I see you feeling the game from Amazon is it real and if I WANT to by any expancion how I do that thank you in advance Oh and the game is in spanish or the rules or the rulebook
Every review and playthrough of this game I have seen is being played at the lower difficulty. Not the recommended 3 Star difficulty. I'd like to see an actual representation of what the game says to play. The people I play with, We accidentally cheated our way through a victory of senerio 1 on 3 stars. It's almost impossible to play on the recommended difficulty the game provides. It's cruel and unforgiving beyond belief on the "standard" difficulty. I like the game but it's pointless to have the 3 star or the higher senerios because you will just consistently lose with no hope win. I don't mind losing at a game but I hate that it's impossible to win.
So far my partner and I have cleared scenario 2 through 5 on the highest diffuclty setting, including iron challenge. Maybe we are getting the rules wrong but it is very manageable.

Why didn’t you also put a damage tile on the portal tile when you played your lvl 2 mage 24 minute mark. My interpretation was that you have to on a portal tile unless it’s full
Hey jrk21311, Az used the lvl 2 Mage tower at 24:33 to attack the horde directly in front of it. With most towers, you simply choose a single direction to attack, you don't attack on every arrow/direction. We hope that clears it up.
@@LuckyDuckGamesEN I think jrk21311 is right, since you tower was able to attack both the yellow horde and portal, the rulebook states you were forced to attack the portal.
Hey Armus Dartus, on Pages 8 & 9 of the Rulebook it mentions how damage tiles or Soldier minis can be placed onto any hordes within range. If an attack has multiple range arrows and multiple damage tiles, each damage tile may be placed on the same or different hordes. The exception is any tower that shows damage tiles with a "+" linking them. These must be placed on the same single horde within attack range. We hope this helps :)

Why does he start with level 2 towers? Am I doing something wrong?
Depending on your number of players you have different starting towers 🙂 The player boards tell you which to pick
I don’t understand how to upgrade existing towers. Please help

At about the 40 minute mark don't you need l3 towers to attack the portal and you used l2 archers?
The bottom portal shown around minute 40 only needs level 2 towers as shown by the #2 in the middle of the card.
