    Hello dear Abby. You look better and better every day my dear. I loved your little outburst of “I’m so glad to be alive”. You are such a little blissful peach. Abby I work in television can you tell me if this foundation has any flashback on it? secondly Abby can you recommend a good lit make up mirror?

    • @AbbyBlissWhite
      @AbbyBlissWhite  5 років тому

      Thank you Amanda! I love that you work in television and would love to know what kind of makeup you have to use for that?? I did not take note as to whether it had flashback but will do a test tomorrow and let you know. It does not appear to have titanium dioxide or zinc SPF but would like to do a test first to see if it does. As far a mirror - I have been really intrigued by the Simple Human Makeup Mirrors but they are $$$. or the Impression Tri Fold Mirror - shop.nordstrom.com/s/impressions-vanity-co-touch-trifold-xl-dimmable-led-makeup-mirror/4829391?origin=keywordsearch-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FAll%20Results&color=rose%20gold whichi is more reasonable. I hope this helps! xoxo

      I have heard that simple is really an amazing there they are a bit pricey but everybody seems to say they last forever ...Abby do you feel like you get enough light with them?

      Amanda Westbrooke you are stunning! Thank you for sharing the link. Love it!! And I don't have the Simple Human mirror- I just heard they were amazing. Let me know if you decide to get one : ) . xoxo

      Abby Bliss White I bought a simple human mirror from Nordstrom. It was the one that was around 200. The magnification wasn’t enough for my old lady eyes so I sent it back. :( I think it was 5x and I probably need 10.

    I’m going back and forth in your videos of 37 actives and the Sisley anti aging foundation. Which one would you recommend and which one provides a more youthful appearance and full coverage?

    • @AbbyBlissWhite
      @AbbyBlissWhite  4 роки тому

      Taj- I would actually say the 37 Actives has more coverage than the Sisley Anti-Aging. As far as more youthful- I would say the Sisley because it has a bit less coverage and a bit more blurring. I hope this helps somewhat. xoxo

    I bought the 37 actives foundation during the Shen sale. I had been dying to try it. Weirdly, it’s fine but I don’t reach for it and I don’t know why 🤷‍♀️. I can’t say there’s anything wrong with it, it just doesn’t blow me away. On their own website they will send samples so that’s an option. I’ll use it but it’s not up there with my La Mer for me. I have the CDP The foundation. If you have dry skin you’ll like it. Pretty sheer coverage tho. Thanks for the vid!

      @AbbyBlissWhite  5 років тому

      KK - I tend to agree with you. I am using it but was hoping it would BLOW me away too. I am glad I got it on sale. This has been on my LUST list for a long time so I think that is why I was so excited by it. Thank you for the info on the CDP- I need to go and get a sample because I am worried I will be disappointed by the sheer nature.... but we shall see. Always on the HUNT! LOL! Thank you for watching. xoxo

    I saw that this was repackaged and I’m wondering if they changed the formula much? Can’t seem to find any reviews of the updated version. Wondering if it’s long lasting on oily skin or not. Can’t justify buying it before seeing some reviews. They don’t even have good swatches of it anywhere. I emailed them and they sent me the same pictures from their Instagram! These luxury brands are so weird.

    Thanks Abby! I am just fascinated (read: envious!) that you don't have to set your makeup with powder... I am super dry but cant keep foundation on my cheeks without setting ;( Now that I am out of my "original" La Mer loose powder I cant find anything that doesn't make me feel and look dry during these winter months. I have so so so many powders too but I want to be like you: none! :))))) Loving these foundation reviews!! Oh and I have the CDP gloss in Charm... I too want to be a gloss girl but I am truly a cream lipstick lover. The Charm is awesome, as most CDP items are.

    • @AbbyBlissWhite

      Stacy N- actually, realizing from these videos that I SHOULD set my makeup. LOL! I do have the NEW LA MER Powder and find it to be a little shimmery. Have you tried the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finish Powder? That one really works for me. I also love the Hourglass Veil Powder. Let me do a little research and see which one we NEED to try : ) Ooh... it was so funny- I wanted that CDP gloss but have to run out to the burbs to get it - and realized I don't want it THAT bad. I am trying to be a gloss girl because I have small lips but just not sure I am. I am intrigued by CDP's Cashmere lipstick....do you have a favorite?? Thank you for watching.- You can see the Charlotte Powder in action in my next video. xoxo

      Oh Abby 😂 I’m sure this won’t surprise you but yes, I have 2 shades of the CT Flawless Finish powder and the new La Mer and SO MANY more 🤦🏻‍♀️ Nothing seems to be working right now. The CT used to be a fav. I’m sure it will again. My skin is prob just adjusting to having the heater on. Having said that we MUST research to see which powders we should be trying ;) I do have a couple CDP Cashmere lipstick! I’ll have to check the colors... I think one is Waterlilly. Very good formula especially with that gloss :))

      @AbbyBlissWhite  5 років тому

      @@TheSNJohnson10 Oh no! She is nudging me to try the CDP lip combo. LOL! Yes, we really do need to research the powders. Did you try the new Charlotte Tilbury Magic Powder? I am intrigued despite the smell because it looked beautiful on the skin. Okay- something to work on- powders for DRY SKIN!!!

    • @TheSNJohnson10
      @TheSNJohnson10 5 років тому

      @@AbbyBlissWhite I did try the CT Magic Powder and sent it back! Truly the smell was horrid! I am not really one that is overly bothered by smell (I actually like my P50 smell ;p) . I didn't give it a good try because at the time I still had the Original La Mer and nothing was measuring up. I may have to look at it again....
      The CDP Cashmere Lipsticks I have are Waterlily and Crystal Star. I think you would look wonderful in either and both would go well with Charm. The Waterlily is a more blue toned pink and the CS is more neutral. Ok so off to powders for dry skin!!!

    • @TheSNJohnson10

    So I just decided yesterday to NOT buy the Cle de Peau "The Foundation" !!!!! I tested it for 3 days, and the day I had on the longest, say from 9am to about 8:30pm, I noticed my face got lighter looking as the day went on-Now it's a beautiful match to my skin, O30, goes on so perfect and I was in love yet concerned $250!!! The reason for not buying...it has the most micro amount of highlight particles blended in-You really have to swatch and get in the right light to see it-So I have had this happen with other foundations that have "shimmer" in it...the color dissipates but then you are left with the shimmer which looks light on the face-If it did not have that I would have gladly went and bought it-My ah ha moment was I realized on my way to Italian class my face was lighter and it did not look as wonderful as it did hours earlier-I work from my place so I am not outside, nor rubbing my face etc.
    I am currently trying out the Future Skin by Chatecaille-I used it years ago but like you, a horrible shade ruined it for me-I will check out the 37 foundation you mentioned...we are so bad! We get new things then off to get something else! Oh and last night I ordered 2 travel sets from Cle de Peau, been using testers of products this week and decided "why not" I want to give my skin a break from BR products-Then yesterday morning I ordered the Valmont Prime Regenera II from Rescue Spa, I need extra hydration that sinks in the skin...I am returning La Mer b/c I need something more intense-Always fun chatting products with you! And you look great!

    • @AbbyBlissWhite

      OMG! Tristan- we are total beauty soul sisters! You were making me want to go back to my LA MER once you told me you go it! Okay- I have heard that the illumination on THE FOUNDATION is intense - so had shied away from it per cost $$$ and that it was so sheer. I, of course still want to try it. LOL! I gave my Future Skin to one of my friends due to the color and will look forward to what you think!! And ooh... I am intrigued by the Valmont! My fear is the fragrance and worried my sensitive skin won't like it but keep me posted. AND yes... we are bad!! Oh and I still have my eye on the Gold Cream from Osmoriza but am keeping with my challenge of no new skincare until I finish my BR MSH-R creme. Love talking beauty with you and keep me posted. xoxo

      @@AbbyBlissWhite The La Mer is good but I need more intense moisture, the heat then cold and back and forth dries my skin out-Then I'll be going to Costa Rica for Christmas then up to New Mexico, so my skin will be freaking out for moisture in NM (freezing plus arid)! I actually thought The Foundation would be more hydrating, like the Armani foundation that is in jar, or even old school Bobbi Brown, their foundation in the pot-But on my skin I wasn't like "oh so much moisture" it does have a glow from that shimmer I mentioned, and it is very sheer, which I like actually-I will test it again once I have the Valmont and see how it goes but I felt a sigh or relief when I saw it was lighter...watch me change my mind ;)
      The Future foundation has very odd shades! I tried Ivory yesterday and looked like Mary Queen of Scotts, way too pale-Now I have on Vanilla but I think it may be too peachy/orange, so this evening I will go get a sample of the shade Cream to test out-
      I still use a bit of the Gold Rescue when I will be out in freezing weather, I warm it up and press it onto my face, great barrier cream-
      Valmont products do have a heavy fragrance, I just remember when I tried it a couple years ago I was so sad my sample was gone b/c it really hydrated, gave that "sheen" look-I hope my skin is ok with it! And good for you for not buying anything the rest of the year-It's so hard, with foundation I like Westman Atelier however shades aren't perfect per say and I wish it would be more hydrating, but still it just melts into the skin and stays that way all day-La Mer cushion foundation is there on backup for days where I want super quick application, tap and go...The search is always ongoing for the perfect foundation!

    • @AbbyBlissWhite
      @AbbyBlissWhite  5 років тому

      @@WindyCityGatorGirl keep me posted on the Valmont and let me know what you think! I too, don't think the Westman Atelier is very hydrating but still like it. I have tried both the Bobbi Brown in a pot and the expensive GA Creme Nuda which I was hoping to be my HOLY GRAIL- but no go! I think part of the fun is finding that HOLY GRAIL. We will keep up the search. xoxo

      @@AbbyBlissWhite You will laugh but I returned the $325 La Mer cream last night to Nordstrom, guy smiled when he saw me again but then the smile left when I told him the cream was not going to work-I honestly can't handle the scent as well...then I was reading an article last night and it mentioned how mineral oil is so bad for your face and that it is a cheap ingredient to use in skincare-Out of sheer curiosity I went searching for the ingredients to the Prime Regenera II...and holy balls look at this:
      Ingredients: Mineral Oil, Water (Aqua), Petrolatum, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Beeswax Acid, Acetylated Lanolin, Paraffin, Propylene Glycol, Squalene, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Sodium Borate, Fragrance, Methylparaben, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Propylene Carbonate, Cholesterol, DNA, Ethylparaben, Urea, Hydrolyzed RNA, Triclosan, Propylparaben, BHT
      Not the nicest ingredients! It arrived today, didn't even open the box, will drop it off tomorrow to be sent back to get a refund-I am not scared to return things! ;)

      @@WindyCityGatorGirl i know! So here is the deal- I have actually had a dermatologist and an aesthetician recommend creams to me with both of those ingredients- they are great for barrier repair. I was completely wigging out but have been told that their is medical grade petroleum that does not hurt the skin. Blah, blah, blah... I was using EPIONCE which contains the petroleum in it and still use the Eve Lom Cleansing Balm that contains mineral oil in it. I used to freak out over every ingredient I put on my face and was only using 'clean' product until I had the WORST rosacea outburst that I have ever had from an 100% organic, clean brand. I ran to my dermo was told to the Epionce Repair Barrier or go back to my La Mer because that was going to soothe my skin the most. LOW and BEHOLD- within two days my skin was doing better and within two weeks SO MUCH better. Thus, I now try to bridge the gap - between clean/clinical based skincare and resigning to the fact that we have to use things that actually work for our skin. I will STILL be on the hunt for the best ingredients in the products I use but after that episode and a few others - I try NOT to freak out. BUT - I do know that everytime I use La Mer -I feel guilty and stress over the ingredients. LOL! That being said- VALMONT is so expensive and has SO MANY naughties in it- including triclosan and parabens. WOW!! Okay- so what are you going for next-- Have you tried the Natura Bisse line?? I know they are not 100% clean either.... but have a friend who swears by this line. Keep me posted! And I am getting better about returns!!!
