    This is the best track guide I've seen. And I've watched a lot of them. Thank you so much and keep it up :)

    I would like to ask, im new into iracing and racing in overal. For the blip, i dont have to clutch to blip? only brakes and blip the throttle while down shift?

      Welcome to iRacing =)
      No, you don't need to hit the clutch and it's also not about the brakes (!)
      You want to give the throttle a short, hard tap to at least 75% and then you can simply downshift, independently from any other inputs.

      @ hey buddy thanks for the input, understood it now. Also i did comparison of my lap on garage61. I notice the guy who much more faster than me has a fixed 40% blip whenever he drops the gear. Is this manual blip? My blip was of course all over the place, but his was maintained at 40% everytime.

      They are using the auto-blip assist, which blips automatically on every downshift.

    Some of these "there are track limits" are not up to date, i've got a lot of incident points for trying them

    When am I supposed to blip on downshift in this car? Been doing it pretty much every time but I notice you don't. Is there a good rule of thumb?

    • @crexLive
      @crexLive  7 місяців тому +2

      Yeah, but it's easier to feel than to explain it, because the explanation is very technical.
      Go into practice, drive a few laps and don't blip at all.
      You'll notice that your rear will try to spin on you sometimes, especially in slow turns or when you are downshifting while being in the middle of a turn.
      Those are the spots where you want to blip to keep the car stable, and that's also the way how I figure it out.
      Blipping matches the engine revs to your speed on the track and gives you more grip on the rear after the downshift, that's basically when you want to use it: every time you want that additional boost of grip to squeeze a downshift into a certain section.

    The triple gauche gave me so much headaches, kept spinning on the brakes

    • @crexLive
      @crexLive  7 місяців тому

      That's usually a sign of too much input on the brakes.
      Try to brake less or keep the car more straight! Both together let the rear swing out

    This video needs to be taken down as its misleading, there are track limits

    • @crexLive
      @crexLive  2 місяці тому

      It's not intentionally misleading, it's just outdated. The new video is already up and linked twice, in the video and comments.
      I got the advice from my YT Partner Manager to leave old videos up which is why I won't take it down. It's not the first outdated video on YT. Basically, the moment you take a video down all of its watchhistory data will get deleted as well, which will have a negative impact on the channel, because it will drop in rankings and the recommendations related to that video will stop as well.
      After a few days the algorithm usually recognizes that there was an update and silences the video on its own.
