Sounds like Vivaldi, I visited venice and in my head I was playing this song non stop!!! I fell in love with venice because of Tomb raider 2 …. This song is all my childhood
A powerful, non-verbal statement on how video games can be a positive influence on our culture. Sounds like Vivaldi but who'd a thunk this was written by a Canadian gamer in the 90's?
Damn, I was 10 years old playing TR on my first PC... it was 1998. My first game, gift from my Uncle... It was really difficult for me in that time... Now I have 2 children, age of 11 and 7...But i still remember that moments in Venice.
If you want they made a remastering in Steam. I am playing right now ! It’s insane, in case you want to play with your children. And the graphics are wonderful *_*. In France it cost 29 euros 🎉😊
I swear: if one day I get to visit Venice, I *WILL* rent a boat just like TR2's, and I *WILL* be blasting this, max volume, when I ride through the cannals.
This is the tune I've been dreaming about for ~20 years! Well, last year during the pandemic, I started again to play with Lara Croft in search of treasures ... 😊😋😎
The thing is, the song wasn't made by beethoven or something, but by one of the developers. That must have taken so long and sounds like a song from the old days 😄
According to the Tomb raider Suite official website, the world premierre performance was on December 18th 2016 at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, London.

Me too🥰 Been to Venice 6 times and can probably trace most of it back to playing Tomb Raider 2 in the 90s
I'm going in the near future and feel like I'm going to have that same experience
To think this song was originally made by one person on a synthesiser for a computer game...
Thats the crazy thing ! So simple but Epic 😍

well it doesn't sound *quite* like Vivaldi - it borrows too much from the classical period
@@sibionic I thought it was written by Nathan McCree, who isn't Canadian!
@@treblebass6721 I didn't say he was.
Nathan McCree isn't from Canada bud
He isn't a gamer as well
Damn these onion cutting ninjas. That was amazing! I can only imagine just how GOOD it is when your'e there..
One of the most epic sounds ever
I always thought this WAS a classical piece used for the game. Didnt realize it's all McCree
For me it have clear influences of the summer of vivaldi, the other day the piece from game came to my mind and i mistaken it with the summer
Press that button, jump into the boat and this music started! What a memories, love the 90's!
That's why I love Tomb Raider! I love playing this game, for me, the best game ever!

Decades later and it’s still beautiful and exciting.

This is perfect, oh my god.
Yes. The absolute BEST rendition of this song so far. Wonder if Vivaldi-winter was an inspiration.
