  • We are converting an ex-military Unimog U1300L Turbo truck into an all terrain expedition camper. We are starting our conversion by restoring our vehicle and for that we need to completely remove the cab from the chassis. It is quite a challenging and stressful process but we are getting there. In this video you will see us finally lifting the cab from the Unimog chassis...(and much more :)

      No problem, are you removing one yourself?

      @@victorsvanventures6753 Yes, I will do it myself if it cannot be avoided. But there is a lot to be done, transmission problems and the clutch will probably have to be done as well.
      Well it will be warmer soon then I will be able to start repairing.

    Congrats guys! We knew it😊
    You picked a really nice grey (just like us😉). Love how you guys are doing the whole restoration process properly. It will be sooo worth it!!!

      @victorsvanventures6753  2 роки тому +1

      I actually said it in one of my rambling voice messages to you guys and was ordered by the boss to save the surprise :)
      Ahh yes, we're excited about the grey too :) Although we aren't sure what colour the hab box will be. Maybe the same grey on the Ali edges, leave the panels white (heat reflection) then drive to India and have big multi coloured Elephant mandalas painted on the sides! :)

    • @PatandJele
      @PatandJele 2 роки тому

      @@victorsvanventures6753 hehe good that she's the boss ;)
      Why not? Sounds good! We actually wanted to have a slightly darker grey than it turned out but we are happy so it doesn't absorb too much heat now.
      Have you guys started doing the inside of the box yet? If you ever have questions about something, shoot us a message! Our whole build is pretty well planned out in every detail :D. Talked to a lot of people and specialists about what would be the best way to do it in terms of electricity, water system, battery setup etc :)
