Yes, it is a great opportunity to go back to a game and give it a second chance, and for such a bargain price, the experiment was worth the cost of admission!
Thank you both. That was a very special video to watch ;-) In the new version of Santorini, we will immediately start people off playing two gods. Too many people never got into the god powers. That was sad because that is where the game really shines. I subscribed - both because of what you said about Santorini and because you have Dune Imperium (possibly the best game ever created) in your backdrop ;-)
Wow what an honour ! So pleased you've found the video and enjoyed it. We have since played with the Gods and its now one of our go to two player filler games! We are also fans of Dune Imperium, have you tried Uprising as we aren't sure If we need both?
After enjoying Santorini mayhe I should give Onitama another go, but my previous experience was so bad it would have a lot of work to do to change my opinion 😅 Redlands has been on our radar for a while now, Libby very nearly came back from Essen with it .
Great video. What a fun idea! And £4 for Santorini is a steal! My charity shop score was a mint in box, never played, Hamsterrölle for $5CAD! We love it so much, I'd have been happy to pay full price, but I didn't have to! I may have to unsub because of the Onitama shade though... 😂
Wow that is a bargain. Know what you mean , sometimes you almost feel guilty for finding a great game so cheaply you wish you'd paid more! Theresxanother video on our channel that shows many of our other charity shop finds if you're interested
@@BoxedMeeples Quoridor, my favourite abstract game. Fugitive, by Tim Fowers, is the story of the Mastermind from Burgle Bros escaping the Detective. Terrors of London is an incredible two player deck builder with a really neat adjacency mechanic that I never see anyone talk about, but I love. Bonus points for having easy to include expansions that are basically just more cards.
Absolutely love the look of Fugitive! Always attracted to that style of art. Nearly backed Caper Europe on kickstarter - still a bit of a regret not doing that
£4 is a bargain! I just dipped into the new deluxe kickstarter, having never played .. so not sure that was the wisest idea but I really like the look of the gameplay.
Yes quite a find! Sometimes when staff see a cartoony box they think it's a children's toy so price much cheaper than other board games We have a video on Charity Shop Hunting if you're interested

Fun experiment. Always interesting to see how our tastes evolve woth our experiences. I should revisit some games that way too.

Aww you two are so sweet :)
Thankyou that's very kind x
Ohhhh I backed the new KS for it with the expansion, me and my other half likes it loads. :)
Did you go all in on it? Would be interested to see how the coOp variation works
@@BoxedMeeples That we did! I can bring it around or you can always come visit me when it arrives. :)
@@Yukihimee must get a date in the diary !
Have you tried Onitama or Radlands? They are fun dueling two player games

@@BoxedMeeples totally understand. Onitama is a simplified version of Chess.

Perhaps I should give ontimama another go, but it really didn't gel first try ! Any other two player suggestions?

@DenisRyan oo will have to add those to the wish list .

Qawale on BGA is a nice Boop-adjacent type of game.
We must have a rematch so I can put up stiffer competition!

The new Kickstarter looks lovely though, does it have a coop mode now ?
@@BoxedMeeples I'll take a look! I'm also in the south, I've had a look in a couple of charity shops but not a whole lot of luck in the past.
@@BoxedMeeples Yes there is a co-op mode separately, I've just opted for the base game tho :)
@milest4214 just have to keep trying. Who know what will be donated and what treasures await. We have had quite a lot of success in the past
A convert!
Absolutely! I never saw it coming!
