I had a minister who was a clearance diver in the RCN starting in the mid 1950's until he retired in the early 1980's. He used to keep his old diving helmet in his office and one day he let us kids the church's youth group put it on. He never talked about what he did, just that he was a diver in the navy, but in his obituary, he died in 2006, it specified he was a clearance diver. This just popped into my head so I've been looking at videos about what this role entails.
@@GoodEvenings nope its much harder and completley different. They specialize more in combat BUDS is just the dfirst par, they dont even get thiwr tridents u til after SQT. I knew it was beyond a bag drive but , holy crap Bravo Zulu Gator! So proud of you and you were sick too 👍🤘
are there any newer videos of this?
I worked with an ex reg force engineer mwo who was combat diver qualified. He said he had muscles in his shit by the time the course was over.
"top of the Food Chain" DUHHHHHHH...what are they eating each other LCdr?
Do Navy SEALs undergo this kind of training as well ?
No, they have a more introductory course towards diving as their training encompasses other things.
More likely US Navy EOD
They take the us navy's combat diver course and have several advanced diving exercises
The Naval seal training is not harder than this.

Canadian frogmen (UDT). Canadian BUD/S.
Does the Canadian Navy have ratings? I know they all wear the same uniform.
Martin Power they do
all 3 forces wear different badges
army is green
Martin Power nah. It’s comparable to EOD training. BUDS is different
