My dad was top candinate in this course. He told me storys of his body being ripped in the assualt course and even the instructors taking punches at them. Im still quite young but in a few years ill be joining the airforce in the hope to be a aviator. He told me there were many ripped and buff guys that were used to being popular and getting things handed to them, that quite My Dad, a kid who was always bullied for his size finished top. The reason i posted this was to hopefully inspire anyone reading this as much as it did for me.

The U.S designed theirs I believe During the Vietnam Conflict. the biggest difference the flame colors US used a red Flame on the Torch or an all black subdued design. We used a white flame and the Bottom of the Torch is Rounder on the US version. oh and Originally we Canadians only wore it as a cloth badge on the left upper sleeve of our Parachute smocks.. wasn't until the 1990's a Metal Badge was created to be worn on Dress Uniform.

Definitely not the correct way to hand off your static line. Eye to eye contact and rotate into the doorway. You DO NOT ever want to sling your static line to the jump master.
Pathfinders are employed by Airborne Units, from CSOR, 3 RCR, 3 PPCLI, and 3 Royal 22nd. I am sure there are pathfinder qualified guys in JTF2 as well.

Just to give you an idea of how tough this course is: The US Navy Seal training passing rate is around 40%. The CF Patrol Pathfinder course passing rate is 11%. If you pass this course, you are basically a human Predator.

Our class, 8.06, started with 74 and ended with three. If I remember right, 6 dropped from injuries and the rest all voluntarily withdrew.
