    My dad was top candinate in this course. He told me storys of his body being ripped in the assualt course and even the instructors taking punches at them. Im still quite young but in a few years ill be joining the airforce in the hope to be a aviator. He told me there were many ripped and buff guys that were used to being popular and getting things handed to them, that quite My Dad, a kid who was always bullied for his size finished top. The reason i posted this was to hopefully inspire anyone reading this as much as it did for me.

      InstantKarma 1901 not inspiring at all. And no instructor would ever take a punch at any pathfinder recruit no matter how “ripped” he was and btw it’s quit not quite which means to shut up hard to take some kid who’s most likely making this shit up derisively.

    In the old days (early 80's) in the old S.A. army we didn't have glow sticks or LED's. We just had a torch tied to your ass (in between your backpack and parachute). My mate followed me but he ended up in an acasia tree (a thorn tree). Funniest day of the course. Guy was all scratched up, sewed up and bandaged up. He did finish the course though. We called him "Doring" (Thorn) afterwards.

    • @babel232
      @babel232 6 років тому +4

      Matt Gibbs yes Correct We Canadians liked the design and stole it. The U.S designed theirs I believe During the Vietnam Conflict. the biggest difference the flame colors US used a red Flame on the Torch or an all black subdued design. We used a white flame and the Bottom of the Torch is Rounder on the US version. oh and Originally we Canadians only wore it as a cloth badge on the left upper sleeve of our Parachute smocks.. wasn't until the 1990's a Metal Badge was created to be worn on Dress Uniform.

    Can someone tell me which rifle they are using in this video? Specifically the one during their jump at 23:00. It doesn't look like the standard C7 to me, although I could be wrong.
