I have tried both the putty blush and the keyes blush! I completely forgot keyes was afilliated with elf, but my very first impression of the Keyes blush was that it reminded me of elf putty blushes. The colors are quite similar, and the wear is about the same. I thought Keyes was more balmy and the glass packaging made it feel more luxe, but otherwise pretty dang similar.

The Tarte Juicy Lips are melted lipsticks in my opinion. Also they help my lips a ton. I wear the clear as a lip balm. Also I find some colors better than others. Coconut is my fave!
I haven’t used the keys blush, but the elf putty blush is definitely not balmy, I would say it’s a drier “cream”, and I would say it’s pretty pigmented, one tap into the pot is usually enough for one cheek

Hey Kelly, I tried their blush and the elf ones. It could be a dupe but I’m not a expert or don’t want to hear anyones mouth. But the Key is more creamier in the tube ( To me )

Like this style of video! I've been using the tarte juicy lips a lot too but agree that they're not life exactly life changing and wouldn't rush to repurchase. I also really dislike the caps, it feels like they forgot them in the design process a bit. I like to think I'm above it but packaging matters.

It took me a little bit to undetstand the hype with the tarte juicy lip but now they're my favorite (bought them back in December based on Andrea Matillano's reccomendation )
I just find myself using them a lot because I don't need to have a mirror with me, so that's a plus for me

Honestly most viral or “high end” products in my experience are overrated, but I gave in and bought a tarte maricuja juicy lip plump and I love it. The tingles are a bit much sometimes but it looks so beautiful on the lips. I don’t think it lasts super long but I don’t mind, it is beautiful.

Tarte just released Maracuja Juicy Lipsticks in that click pen on QVC! Seems like they might be more solid and less melty/glossy?
I’m the same as Angie with me videos, or at least similar. I probably need an hour to film and an hour and a half to edit at most. But then I probably need another hour to do thumbnails, description box, links, etc. I can get a video filmed, edited and posted in one day, BUT I try to stay at least a week ahead so I don’t have to. I work a full time job as well so it’s nice to be able to just work on it when I have time. But it’s whatever works for you, everyone is different!

Make your videos so they're easier on you.the quality is still there bc you're awesome...but dont make the filming process stressful on yourself love
I haven’t tried the Keys blushes but I have tried the Elf putty primer and one of the putty blushes and I do not like them. They are too dry and to me they just don’t seem to blend very well.
are the tarte lip pumps like the sea quench lip rescue balms?
I like the lip quench way better than juicy lips.

Those Tarte lip things are definitely just like a lip gloss just with a different application process. They’re very sticky.
When you say you are doing cream product video is it only like your favorite ones/ dislike or are you going to talk about how you apply them and so on? If so I'd love that! I have so many that I like but can never make them work! No matter what foundation I wear or brush I use lol! Also when you say through affiliate codes do you mean just using your discount or like I have to click the links? I just ask because I'd love to help out if I'm going to buy something you recommend of course I just want to make sure I understand it and do it right, in the past I just have been going to my local stores and buying them, so I'd much rather help you guys out if I can!
I actually have a video from a few years ago with tips to apply creams! But I can definitely share some more tips in upcoming videos. Do you normally apply your creams directly to your face? I find that I get the best results if I apply it to the back of my hand first and then pick it up with a brush to apply! And the links themselves are affiliated. And I use to till I saw either you or Julia Adams do it from your hand, the only thing I felt like was when I did that it wasn't showing up as much, I'm not sure if I just need to keep trying or if I'm actually doing something wrong lol. I look forward to your video though! I'm very dry skin and ik they say cream products are best for dry skin!!

I don’t get the hype for the tarte lip product. I have one and find it’s just ok. I find that it’s easy to apply too much and it gets and feels thick, and after a little while it gathers weird. I’m not really a fan. I’ll use it up but do not recommend.

I loved the Taste Juicy Lip Plump for about a week until the clucky bottom stopped working. Unfortunately, it was a waste.

Kelly, you specialize in cruelty free makeup, but what about cruelty free makeup brushes? Are ‘natural’ brushes, mostly goat hair, made without suffering? I googled it and did not like what I read. I wanted to research it some more and thought of you. I would like to pick your brain a bit on this topic. Do the animals suffer (or even die!) in the making of these brushes? I look forward to your response. Thank you!!
I’m not Kelly, but usually yes, unless the brand goes out of their way to show you their farms. They are usually still sourced from factory farms (not good conditions) just like all other animal products.
Great question! I personally only use synthetic brushes because even though brands say that their fibers are collected without cruelty- that’s usually not the case.
It depends on the company. Hakuhodo uses hair that is a byproduct of another industry, the animals are not killed for their hair. For instance, the goat hair comes from the food industry. They buy the hair from the butchers.
I will stick with synthetic. Thank you!
Does anyone know about Nikkia Joy's goat hair brushes? She said they're ethically sourced but I don't know how to feel.
