    Great review. Thanks. I would love to see you do the same test with the BMW X5 x-drive 50e. I can't find any similar test on line.

      @@Farly98 I did! I’ve had it for three weeks. I have almost 850 miles on it and still have 40% of my fuel tank left and have yet to fill it. I’m calculating about $50 per month in electricity.

    Did you notice your gas range drop while using the full electric mode? you had 411km at the beginning and it went down all the way to 406km ( in 6:45)

    I was able to squeeze 40 miles on electric only with mine. Depends where you drive it and if you use the regenerative braking to your advantage. Great car!

    Thank you for the great video! I just ordered my X5 45e, but just nervous because I don't see any info if folks are actually getting close to the 50 mpge in hybrid mode. Would love to have folks verify that. My dealer states the car only takes a week to build once it is in production, but it could take up to 4-6 weeks with shipping. Also, if they are short on any parts, that will delay the production as well. I had to get my allocation from a dealer two hours away from where I live, due to my local dealer doesn't get the allocations to build new cars like the high volume dealers in other areas. I read Minh Nguyen post below, my guess your dealer has not got a allocation for your build yet. Good luck to you!

    • @raksmeyro8886
      @raksmeyro8886 Рік тому

      I have the 45E, you can get 50mpge or better usually with city driving, but even on the freeway it's pretty efficient at around 28-31mpg using the gas only engine

    • @Nigel8Chelsea
      @Nigel8Chelsea Рік тому

      @@raksmeyro8886sorry, just wanted to clarify. Does that figure mean using both battery and gas at the same time will yield around 50mpg? Meaning you could theoretically travel over 1,000miles (if the tank capacity is 21.9 gallon) before needing to fill up?

    • @DutchManticore
      @DutchManticore 2 місяці тому

      @@Nigel8Chelseai dont get what you are stressing about. This is a plugin hybrid, it all comes down to how often you plug in.
      The battery range is 40ish miles. If you do a 1000 mile roadtrip the first 40 miles are electric and the rest your 6 cilinder is going the work.
      You can do unlimited MPG but you would have to stop every 40 miles to charge it 8 hours

    We ordered a loaded 2022 X5 45e and it should arrive in a month or so. Thanks for the informative video.
    How do you feel the electric only and ICE only acceleration to be? Both at once is of course is great, but how are each individually?
    Your tire pressures seem to be set at a big difference from front to rear. Is that OEM psi settings?
    Thanks.

    • @DailyMotor
      @DailyMotor  3 роки тому

      Awesome, congrats! EV only acceleration is fine for daily driving, better than the Volvo PHEVs. That being said, it's not fast. Strong off the line though. I should have done a 0-60 with it. Gas-only acceleration is plenty. Correct, those are OEM tire pressures from the placard inside the driver door. Enjoy your X5!

    You can even reduce more your consumption.
    It depends on the manner and your style of driving. The best way is always to anticipate the actions to be carried out well before they approach. Avoid braking as much as possible and leave an elastic buffer zone between the vehicles ahead. and finally try to drive bellow 60mph
    You can do another evaluation i you'll notice great improvements
