ECO - 3 Types of Mines - Ramp/Tunnel, Quarry & Shaft + Winner Announcement
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 сер 2024
- With ECO 9.0 release right around the corner, we are talking about mining and mines. We touch on how to mine, the different types of mines, skid steers and excavators, and more. There is a lot to talk about with mining in ECO, but we'll cover where to find different rocks and ores such as gold, copper, iron, shale, sandstone, limestone, coal, granite, basalt, and gneiss, and more specific techniques in other coming videos!

I think it's important to remember that these styles are not exclusive: One could, for example, build a ramp down to a desired level underground, then proceed to carve out a cavern and begin quarrying down from there. That's how I prefer to get raw granite.
Thanks for the information new eco player here
Thanks for the view and comment ForgottenNoble! Hope you enjoying the series!
I am can’t seem to get enough content I am finally able to enjoy being an entrepreneur in a game
made me smile so much to see the monument i built as the intro of the vid, thank you
It’s pretty epic!! Had to add it to the vid!
I learned so much thank you for the ideas!
My pleasure!! =)
Nice Video @Oearth!
Thanks! ECO is super addictive and really has a lot of co-op, economic, government, and other kinds of depth to it. It hasn't been great for my channel, but I love the game, and will be sprinkling in more about it!
OMG I was in the video.. :) and man my house looks terrible, really need to fix that. lol
You never know when you'll be on Candid Camera! :D
Open quarry for me. I'm both claustrophobic and afraid of the dark. Shudder.
:)
10:00 OSHA approved mining methods
Oof, 9.0 made this irrelevant. However I love your voice, please make more!
Thanks - appreciate the compliment!! (on the voice) My thoughts so far are "Maybe"...been playing the 9.0 for just a few days, but the clustering of ore deposits, at least so far, hasn't made a big difference...people still seem to be using one of the described methods to 'get to the ore' once found. And for me, where I'm mining rocks and not ore, it's really no difference at all. There could be some new meta that comes out with the 9.0 ore clustering though...stay tuned!! :D
@@Oearth I've been mining exploratory shafts, and finding copper took me a bit lol. Loving 9.0, especially the reworked recipie cost reduction stuff, and how the professions interact, like nails in lumber.
Yes, I'm catching up on content! Can you mine under water?
Definitely!! In fact I almost included a small clip in my last video where I started to carve out an ocean-floor cave for a masonry workshop! It will be a little more challenging than building on the surface - but very doable!!
Embrace the new “Swiss Cheese” meta: dig ONLY straight down. Make thousands of holes.
You said that claimed land goes all the way down to the core. Is this still applicable to the current version? Thanks for the great videos by the way!
Yes @Chris Lee.
looks like a cool game
It is super-addictive!! ...and this 9.0 release coming up even further expands things. I think it's worth researching. I'll be doing some playthrough videos of it in addition to Star Citizen when 9.0 comes out.
When are you doing some more SC content? :)
Should be this coming week! :)
Everyday I'm mining
where is the storage elevator?!
Are you talking about the Industrial Elevator? It's similar in concept in that you have to make a shaft for it (which I have more recent videos on - LOL!), but it wasn't in game yet when this video was made.
@@Oearth no you can place stockpile 13 blocks apart each other to transport easy and fast a full storage to the top or over a river etc.
funny your little train
It did look like a train while driving it! It’s actually an early “steam powered truck” vehicle in the game.
I always got bored quickly with Minecraft. Don’t think I could enjoy another clone.
I'm not really a MineCraft fan myself, but this game is a good bit different (I think) and so much more to offer with it's player-driven governments, laws, economics, ecological impacts, cross-player dependent skill trees, etc...plus it looks WAY better! My biggest kick lately has been mining with an excavator - it requires some skill and practice to control!! :D
I’ve played both Eco and Minecraft, and aside from block placement, Eco does not seem very “Minecraft-y”. Like Oearth said, player interactions are far more important in Eco.
