It was absolute fun being on the show and sharing knowledge with other invited guest. Bisola was an absolute gem!, she deserves all the accolade. To everyone that have been engaging with this post, you guys are the real MVPs!. Thanks to NdaniTv for the invite and to my friend Moses (CEO Topship) for the recommendation.
Babajide Adejumo, please open a UA-cam channel and shed more light on HR,workplace culture and the rest. I will be an avid subscriber. Everything you said on this interview is spot on!👍 I enjoyed listening to you.
Your contributions were on point. Professionals across board have a lot to learn from you. Well done 👍
You did such a great job and talked about the topic with deep knowledge! Please let us know if you have an instagram. Would love to hear more.
Eloquent and on point!!!! Enjoyed and learned from every words that came out of your mouth!.
Jide is so smart and I fell in love with his brains. He's hella cute too. Any Nigerian who has worked in banking will have a story to tell about workplace toxicity. One time my boss stole my idea after saying it won't work only to send a memo to the HOD for same idea without recognizing me. Working overseas, I've seen passive-aggressive behavior in tremendous amounts; let's not talk about racism. These experiences has brought about taking a mental health day from work. Another thing, Nigeria needs working labor laws; one that elevates Nigerians first before foreigners. Thank you Bisola and panelists.
This is beautiful. This was the issue at a Labour Migrants and Migrant Governance symposia I attended a few weeks back. Nigerian employers should be trained so that they will conform to Labour Laws
@@zikaden6549 sorry
Jide's eloquence and the way he answers questions intelligently is worthy of admiration 👏👏👏. Not forgetting the delectable and amazing Bisola ☺, she is such a great host and she keeps getting better.

Uncle Jideeee... A proud younger sister moment.. ❤

Kassie and Victoria are smart and eloquent.
Enjoyable and insightful conversation!🔥
This is so enlightening.
My workplace is so toxic.
I’m being overworked and underpaid.
Have been doing two peoples job for the past 7months now. No incentives no increase in salary. Absolutely nothing.
I wish I can leave 😢😢😭😭😭
The speed with which REAL TALK is dropping episodes on trending topics this season is mad. 🔥 This topic started trending on Monday I think and just a couple of weeks ago they discussed pay in Nollywood and it was trending at the time too. Love it! 👍🏽
Trust me!!
This is not what’s mad about them it’s the fact that this episode was filmed in January...I’m watching it now and I’m in awe of the amazing brains and thoughts that goes into filming and prepping in advance
NDANI!!!! Y’all are AMAZING!!!!!
I check on this channel everyday to check for an updated real talk episode.
If possible, NADNI should drop videos everyday...
Hands down, Bisola is the best Real Talk host!!
Everyone brought in their A game for this episode, but you see that Jide, he was exceptional... He really knows his onions. Keep it up everyone and thank you Ndani & Bisola for bringing another great episode our way.
Not me getting ready for work, all anxious and then seeing this video 😥...is this a sign?
This is a brilliant discussion. Jide is particularly spectacular. He knows his onions. I enjoyed it
This was a great and mind shifting conversation... Jide really gave a lot of perspective to a toxic workplace...
The HR guy definitely knows what he's talking about. Putting systems in place will definitely save us a lot of stress. And everyone else is good too. Kudos to Ndani tv, I am in love with these topics
This uncle Babajide is such an intelligent guy. He doesn't just look good outside, but he's also good intellectually. Something we wish to be seeing more amongst our youths.
I really really like Jide’s insightful answers to every question 🥰
Personally, this is the kind of person I like to work with.
By the way Kassie’s smile is beautiful 🦋😇

You are the best Girl for this show 🥳🥳🥳🥳
We love you 😍
Jide is a correct guy. Knows what he is talking about.
This was enlightening. Many things were said on toxic workplace...how can such places be changed...some don't actually know what they do is actually wrong...
Best episode for me I actually learnt. The guy is so intelligent. Nice talk.
This is an extremely intelligent conversation. Learned quite a number of things.
Jide is such an intelligent young man. The ladies were quite eloquent too. Really enjoyed watching this episode. Bisola is such a lovely host.
I’ve learn so much just from watching this episode. Jide is such a smart guy.
Jide is entering my eyes o.. I can listen to him all day 😍
Wow this is really a REAL TALK, the sincerity and openness I love, and the fact that everything discussed is sooo relatable, welldone NDANI for discussing this trending issue, welldone BISOLA for never disappointing (who’s better to do this) and to the intelligent and beautiful guest, thanks for sharing your experience and for the recommendations.
Bisola is such a great host, love her growth. Great show guys
Really enjoyed this episode. The entire panel was so well spoken, funny and knowledgeable, especially Jide!! I agree 'The workplace is not a family, it's a community'.
Wow, this is interesting and educating.... I can so connect to the topic, feels it was addressed to me. Thanks Bisola for the beautiful topic. Thanks Ndani for the beautiful show❤
I happen to fall in the category of people without a job description, just do anything and everything because am an ADHOC staff with little to show for it. No job excitement, they always wants you to do more with little or no praises on a job well done.
The salary is not encouraging as well, need to save over half of salary monthly to be able to meet up for my next rent. No work life balance. The work hours is long I can't combine/promote my craft with the job because I get home tired and exhausted almost every day😥.
Kassie is so beautiful✨✨and I can relate with clique thing..
I enjoyed the fact that Jide spoke from 3 angles. Toxicity has no place in a workspace.
I left a toxic work place in December 2021 and I felt at peace with myself . It really dealt with me mentally , emotionally and even my self esteem. You know that kind of work space where you address people as sister kinikan , that work place where you don't have a job description, that work lace where you cant express yourself and alot I sha work there from 2019-2021 cos I have bills to pay and in my mind I felt no organization will employ just an ordinary diploma holder so I have to hold on to it. But I left and channeled my energy on business , it's just been 3months but I'm grateful for the peace of mind and growth 😊😊 . Thank you for this episode
Yes o peace of mind over anything else
I learnt a lot from y'all, Thanks BISOLA, JIDE, KASY & VICTORIA 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
We move 🇳🇬
Structure neither fears nor favors. Thank you, JIDE! Good one again, Ndani.
Watching this just brought back memories 😭😭😭.. BAD MEMORIES O 😤😰.
The Holy spirit in me is holdingme back from purging it all out here. Anyways, i have moved on but deep down, i still hope God has plans to deal with Him accordingly.
I can only leave it at that...
Thank you all for sharing 😊😊. 'Love yourself' was the highlight for me.. welldondle guys
Honestly this is my current situation...that's a good talk from Jide and I've learnt some stuff here, saving up and planning to exit, so help me God.
🤗🤗🤗 I wish you the best.
@@ATvee thank you 🥰
Congratulations Gure all the way from Namibia 🇳🇦♥️🔥🔥🔥🔥👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿Sending love.
This is good...love from Ghana🙂
As regards performance and definitive goals, I think it's highly important employees ask questions during interviews and hold them to their reply. I assure you most times, bad interviewers or bad workplaces find it hard to give definitive answers to questions relating to specific goals. If they can't answer you, don't take the job. Now it isn't everyone that have such optionality to refuse a job due to some reasons. This is why Nigeria needs a working labor law. By the way it's just a matter of time, companies with bad working culture always gets overtaken by competitors.
I think my last point is also the submissive culture of Nigeria in general imbibed into you from young age, you can't challenge your teacher when he/she is wrong, your parents won't apologize when wrong, all these extends to workplaces and employees can't stand up to their employers. I can keep going but my opinion in general is don't stay in a toxic workplace. I also recommend all employers read Alliance by Reid Hoffman. Most employers or hiring managers are still stucked in 1950s style of hiring, which itself is bad and the only reason for this is because they are mentally lazy to the work too on their part.
Do you know more on hr? How do I develop my knowledge in hr as a startup?
j wish i could tag my boss! You guys touched every aspect. thank youuuuuuuuuu.
I learnt a lot here. Especially the part that says, we’re like family 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’m laughing out of experience 😄😄😂😂
I love this conversation, there was a little shift in mindset watching this
Its the timeliness of this topic for me looking at how workplace toxicity just trended some days before and this is prerecorded! Employers please do better
Well said.
Fantastic content🙌🏾. Kudos to the team and guest speakers.
Jide is saying all the right things 🙌🏼
This hit real home for me because I’m currently in a toxic work environment. I really appreciate the guests because of their honesty and Jide is so brilliant ! I’ve learnt to love myself, care for myself, reflect and also put myself out there when I’m not getting what I deserve. Even as someone who hopes to have employees some day, this video is one I’d like to come back to
Such a timely episode. Good choice of guests, I particularly love how articulate Jide is.
This is an amazing discussion…Ndani Tv thank you!!!
I knew Victoria was from Kaduna state. Shout out to my people from Croc city ❤
We plugged in! Croc City let's go!
Bisola is a fantastic host ❤️
Babajide..... girls be crushing on you. They are intellectually sound. Well done Bisola.
Thank you so much, Bisola and the guests. Very, very necessary and intelligent conversation.
Too many gems. God bless youuuu!
I so much enjoy this episode, I love Victoria accent
Jide always spits wisdom whenever he apeaks
I'm watching you from Libreville in Gabon.I really like your concept and would do the same for my country.
Such an intelligent conversation. Bisola is the best host for the show
I loveeeeeeee this fan edition! Would love to see more!
This cracked me up. Lovely!
Bisola is such a great host👌
What a cast 👏🏿
Victoria my home gyal! KD let's go! I like the fact that she's smart, outspoken & yet benign. That Namibian accent made it all the more peng! Going to be looking out for your contents & cheering for you.
Correction though: you not Hausa. Maybe in this context (in a way Lagosians might understand)..yes! People from South always think anyone from the North is Hausa (for me it's even a bad look on them) it's just like how people abroad display their ignorance about Africa by thinking Africa is just one thing
I learnt to be more management understanding after watching this. My work environment is very good but it can be excellent
Toxicity can also be in the form of your ideas being overlooked. When you feel stifled and you realise that the company doesn't want to grow, it is TOXICITY!!
Ndani we want to see more of Jide 😩
I like the way you call my name Bisola...... 😍 (Victoria)
👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you😊
Y'all nailed it!
Really very insightful. Brilliant minds.
Extremely important discussion, kudos👏👏
We really need to look at toxicity in the banking sector especially in Nigeria.
That topic needs an episode of it's own really!!!
Enjoying this topic,Bisola always a great host and love those invited
Beautiful conversations
Great conversations.
Exactly what's happening to me at work
Omg😬😬😬
I can totally relate
Well-done 👍
Nepotism is also toxic, especially if the employee does not have the experience and qualification commensurate for the role they have been given on a golden platter!
Thank you bisola I am really inspired by this topic 😍
Such a great conversation.
@Vicky you go girl❤️
Jide is super intelligent
I heard Victoria's accent and wondered if she was Nigerian, then I heard Namibia. Love her accent.
Kassie is really smart
Jide is so sound🙌🏾
Employers are paying more attention to performance in terms of figures. So this boss is a bully and demeans any living soul around him, yet he is allowed and even hallowed at the work place because his 'performance' is good. Until we have institutions that caters for the well being of employees in Nigeria....this will continue.
Well said! They forget it's the employees that drive performance
Jide>>>>>
Too elite!
You should invite a Millennial Civil servant o for balanced view because talk plenty 😂🌚😓my eyes don see sege
You don't expect small/growing businesses to have strict hours like established large corporations.
Startup culture isn't for everyone and you should consider company vision before joining.
So they should overwork people??
Not that they should use people like horse o
I don't want Bisola to ever stop hosting
Imagine working in a place where the Manager picks favorites, and is the Master Clique Creator. Horrible experience!!!
Overtime is normal in Nigerian companies/organisations.
Overtime without pay sef
A much needed topic, learnt a lot, and thankful I left my former toxic work space
How this is the topic for this week and it trended a few days ago
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have a question regarding the whole "the workplace is not your family thing", so what's the stereotype or issue exactly associated with your workplace being like a "family" to you. Please I don't get it, what does it mean?
Please how do we join another fan edition?
A lot of Nigerians need therapy because of the gbas gbos from all sides.
Good topic of discourse, but I doubt most working class people are knowledgeable about it, some even have certain experiences or are currently going through this but it just seem normal to them.
So how /when can I come in as a guest, as a fan naa? lol
Toxic work place made me have anxiety and to be honest a male boss is better than a female boss less complications
Have been told by my Boss, that I was too expressive
Nigerian companies sha … the entrenched respect culture in Nigeria would make it hard for many people, especially of the older generation to embrace “first name” basis or “open door” policy. My 2 cents. I’d love to see the culture get better though, work culture that is
Honestly I've been in a multiple toxic work place
