  • In the heart of Harvard Square, we had the privilege of sitting down with Jimmy, a remarkable man currently experiencing homelessness. At 41 years old, born in Danvers, MA, Jimmy's journey brought him to the bustling streets of Boston, where he has been for the better part of two years.
Enthusiastic, passionate, and thoughtful, Jimmy eagerly shared his perspective with us during our interview. When we asked him, "If you had one message to tell the world, what would it be?"
Jimmy: "I'd say, always be your higher self. Always say how you feel. Do what you feel, and do it how you feel you should. Even if people question your motives, your intentions, try not to get offended. Stand firm and say, 'No, I'm really doing this because this is what the real me wants to do. I'm acting like myself, and you shouldn't question me because if you see what I'm doing, it'll make sense.'"
Intrigued, we probed further, asking, 'How do you know what your ‘self’ wants to do? And not for extrinsic reasons, how do you know it's intrinsic?'
Jimmy: "You know how in Care Bears they said, Just be yourself, the real you'? We all thought, 'we like G.I. Joe, these Care Bears they're cheap, I'm jaded, I watched G.I. Joe.’ But that Care Bear knew what the f*** he was talking about. Just be yourself, man. People will love you."
Jimmy's profound words resonate deeply, reminding us all to embrace our true selves, unapologetically and authentically.
Let's share Jimmy's powerful story and inspire others to celebrate humanizing humans.

Methadone may save lives but also makes peoples lives worse. Methadone is also a very addictive drug and for some people methadone is no different than another horrible pill, my mother is addicted and has been for over 10 years. Her body is slowly giving up on her and it’s horrible. I’m happy that it does save most peoples lives

      @@intuitivefugitive8852Go slow.
The end is not miserable unless you do it alone. Stay with the clinic. They will prescribe for as many uncomfortable symptoms as possible. Here, they even prescribed percocet for the last 5 days for really trustworthy people.
Do the next right thing, for the next right reason. 💝🙏💞

Dude, I'm a recovering addict and currently go to a methadone clinic. This dude is WAY to amazing to be on the street. I know EXACTLY where he's been and losing people to Fentanyl. I hope this guy finds what he's looking for. Much love from Kansas City Edit: how has this not went viral?!?!?!?

Great for stablizing but ive dropped from 60ml to 20ml but just cant shake of that 20 ml as has become my comfort blanket in the mean time. One day i be free from the methadone but my bones will pay the price..

Withdrawal from methadone is worst than heroin withdrawal. I'm blessed to have neither in my life today and 15 years in February.✌️🤟

Oh so just don't do methadone, continue to do the heroin and fentanyl right!?? SMH it's people like you that prevent others from trying the methadone programs, and here's the secret, you don't withdraw from methadone if you're using the program properly, it works, and it's saved many lives, just because you weren't strong enough to follow through with the program doesn't mean that it won't work for someone else, and if you've been clean THIS long that's great, happy you were able to turn things around, but you shouldn't be talking shit about methadone and saying it's worse than heroin, discouraging someone that might have been thinking about going on methadone then they read irresponsible comments like yours and they decide not to try it because they're afraid of getting hooked on a new substance to go along with their addiction to heroin, fentanyl or other opiates! Just because YOU couldn't do it, and it didn't work for you, doesn't mean you should be saying ANYTHING that might discourage an addict from seeking help! Methadone works and works well, especially for those that TRULY want to get clean, those that are willing to do what it takes, and no, you won't be in withdrawal by going on the methadone program, don't know about YOUR programs, but here in Ontario 🇨🇦, you're permitted to piss dirty as long as you show up each day for your drink and stay with the program, so here, they start you at 20ml a day, every 3 days you can go up 15ml, untill you get to a level where you're comfortable and no longer have to use "opiates". They don't cut you off or kick you out of the program, you're permitted to use in combination with methadone until you get to a level of methadone where you no longer have to use opiates, then the program really begins, if you piss clean, you earn "carries" which are daily doses you can take home, so you don't have to go to the clinic or pharmacy each day. I been clean for close to 3 years now, was as high as 120ml a day, down to 23ml a day now, every 2 weeks I drop the dose 2 ml, I don't feel any withdrawal whatsoever, I still use weed, but I've managed to put my life back together, and I have absolutely zero desire to go back to that scene, I cut ties with everyone that was a user, it was necessary to maintain my cleanliness, I don't miss any of them!! Methadone works, and saves lives, you shouldn't be discouraging someone from trying methadone, it could save their life, it may not have worked for YOU, but it does work for that truly want to get clean.

Yup, me too! Was an addict for 8 years or so, methadone program saved me, I don't drink, haven't used since the first day I went on the methadone, been about 2.5 years now, going slow, was up as high as 110ml a day, I'm at 23 ml a day now, I have no cravings or desires to use opiates, I too use marijuana to help with appetite and sleeping, and I don't give a shit what anyone says, I get the " you're still using an opiate" or "smoking weed is no better" and to those fools I say " you have no clue what you're talking about, go away", these are just ignorant fools that have no clue about addiction. Methadone works, and it saves lives, one has to really want to quit using for THEMSELVES, not for anyone else, and I honestly think alot of addicts don't even bother to try methadone because there's so many idiots out there that discourage methadone by saying " you're only substituting one drug for another" and that's just not true, again this comes down to just pure ignorance. I wish you well my friend, you're on the right track, keep it up, things will only continue to get better for people in our situation, so good luck in the future, congratulations on your success this far! 👍☮️🇨🇦

@intuitivefugitive8852 Arizona doesn't care if you smoke weed. I always have weed in my system & they never said anything to about it & i get a drug test every 2weeks. I'm greatful for cannabis because it keeps me in the moment. Not freaking out about the future or the past. Just baked & absolutely present in the here & now & for some that is very difficult. @michaelkay8914 Virginia doesn't care either ~ even before they legalized it a few years ago. The methadone & suboxone clinics are cool ~ they all just want to help folks get & stay clean. Folks who get kicked off do so by lying, inattendance, or no progress.
      We DO recover! 💫💪✨️

I thought the same thing, at first, after a 7 year battle with opiate addiction. And the methadone ended up being the biggest monster of them all. Methadone was pure torture trying to come off of it. I’m opiate free now for almost 10 years. Methadone is a apex predator that pretends to be a 🧸 teddy bear.
