If the edges are rough, then either the blocks are soft (relatively speaking) or, more likely, the blades are dull. One of the most common "faults" I find when running 'improver' courses for block layers is that they are relying on the blades that came with the splitter when they originally bought it, maybe 10 years ago!
@@TonyMcCormack Thanks for the video and also thanks for this tip. I was trying to figure out what kind of wet saw I needed when I found out about splitters. I'm hoping to rent one of these and I should figure in the possible cost of new blades!
I used to use a concrete saw with a 14 inch blade but now I use an angle grinder with a 7 or 9 inch blade. The cut are far cleaner than that of a concrete saw and you can see more closely and smooth the edges more quickly. I think it's faster overall because if you're already down on your knees moving around trying To make cuts, you're already using a pencil and marking your papers so might as well not stand back up to Use a concrete saw period I'm very curious about this though because it seems dustless and quiet. the noise of the grinder or the conference saw alone are fatiguing and the dust is as well and also cancerous
I only have details of British stockists. If you email me, I will send details. I can't advise on price as I do not sell this machine, nor anything else.
How is the final (or all?) pressure or blow delivered? Is it on a cam? Never knew these existed, only have mangled the hell out of brick trying the hammer method, or grinder cutting
Professionals: *uses a handy invention that makes paving so much easier*
Me: *Just keep pushing and it will fit*
from experience using a block splitter leaves the cut edge very rough , however for me personally i like to use a 9" angle grinder with back ache. :P

I tried finding the song online and I can’t seem to bring it up anywhere. Such a great song, reminds me of the 90’s when times were actually good.
Sorry, I can't help you. The music was provided by a third party who have since gone out of business.
@@TonyMcCormack ok thank u for the reply back, have a great week.

Please. From where we can get this machine to cut inter lock. Thanks

Does this cut angles in pavers well? Are those cuts clean?
Yes, as long as the blades are keen and you're fairly adept in positioning.
mui bueno
Could you cut solid house bricks using this machine?
Yes - obviously depending on the frogs, but most should cut with a splitter.
Where can i purchase this machine and how much ?
I only have details of British stockists. If you email me, I will send details. I can't advise on price as I do not sell this machine, nor anything else.
Very good!

Tenho dessas máquinas e outras mais potentes
Donde se puden comprar
I only know British and irish suppliers
Wil this cut cement pavers?
Yes, and with ease. Clay pavers are, usually, much harder than concrete (cement) pavers, so if it can cut clays, it will easily cut concretes!
most concretes are filled with little stones, you wont get a nice cut ...
You'd be better of cutting with a stihl saw
Great video. Very informative.
Very good
Easy cutter
How much?
I don;t seell any of these tools - I don't sell anything at all. You'd need to contact your local stockist.
Couple hundred pound
You can rent these. My local hardware store you can get it for 4 hours for $16.
@@Dellcity1 in which country would you be able to sell and for how much?
By the way I'm from India.
How thin pieces cut I cut with this?
You can take as little as 6mm off a block when the blades are keen.

Yes, it's a simple cam that applies pressure to the top blade.
