YAAAAS! High Exemplar Kreoss with Holy Zealots. One of my favourite combinations. When his feat goes off, it gets messy. I throw in a couple of Redeemers too. Good show, old bean! Great batrep.
Bulldoze is game winning on so many levels; it's seriously underestimated. The ability to just walk through enemy lines to reach what you want is so powerful.
+WarGamerGirl Aren't the objectives still considered large base models? If so wouldn't the objective and errant seneschal effectively blocked line of sight from Black Ivan to Kreoss?
+Ben Homer I think you might be on to something. The Arcing Fire on Black Ivan's Bombard shot does say it only ignores models outwith an inch of the target, and the objective is definitely within an inch and does count as a model for this purpose. So unless the Seneschal was not b2b with it, though it is stated to have ran up to it, then there shouldn't be the line of sight.
+Universum Yeah I should have gotten a better shot of that side but the Seneschal was NOT basing the objective (my narration says he runs to the objective but he was definitely not basing it). There was about a 2mm gap that Black Ivan took the opportunistic shot through. I wasn't using the arcing fire rule to shoot, just regular line of sight. =)
+Ben Homer Yes the objective would block LOS, the only reason Black Ivan got a shot was because the Seneschal was not basing the objective, and had about a 2mm gap that Black Ivan could see Kreoss through.
Really enjoyed the deconstruction after the game in this one. I thought you and your opponent articulated thinking for lists and strategy really well. Great as always, thanks!
At least you were able to study up on your opponent. A stack of textbooks does come in handy! Thanks for the battle report as always - makes painting an easy affair.
I really enjoy your batreps, nicely delivered by you Miranda. /very clearly spoken commentary easy to follow and appreciate the wrap-ups :) Where did you get your zone markers from? How about your dice box? Thank you in advance for replying....
Well, I am interested in learning this game, but it seems I am secluded from other players in my area. I enjoy all aspect that the game offers. The collecting, assembly, and painting. Playing the game will have to be put on the back burner for now. Regardless, thanks for the videos. They are extremely helpful in comprehending it all.
Miranda, there is a noticeable drop off in your MKIII battle reports. No 75 point games? Are you disappointed with the new version or just busy with normal life stuff?
I play at Active Imagination and Twin Suns in Albuquerque. Are you around Hobbs? Carlsbad? I know there is a game store in Roswell. Though last I checked, they played mostly 40k and Malifaux.
I'm in Artesia my friend owned the shop here that was open for about a year and half (currently closed, in the process of moving). Yes I know the shop you're talking about, Pair-a-Dice, and yes, mostly 40k and Malifaux sadly. We tried to get WarmaHordes started there but it didn't stick. I try to take random miniatures games with me up there sometimes to let people test out.
+TheJoe Ah the angle on that isn't great unfortunately. The was a small gap that Black Ivan was able to draw line of sight to Kreoss through. At the end the Demolisher had a clear line on Kreoss. =)
Great battle report as always. I did notice in the commentary Miranda refer to a free strike as an attack of opportunity. That implies tabletop RPG experience with D20 systems. Any chance of getting an IKRPG content session on the channel?
I like how both players actually used tactics and movement. most people I've played against just run everything up to the middle like a rugby scrum. Once I sent my Iron Fang Ulhans way around to the side in an attempt to threaten the enemy's warcaster and he all but said "You can't do that!" it got really boring, especially since my warcaster was always The Butcher, and he always got tarpitted!
+Jonathan Scoggins Those come from Techtonic Craft Studios: tectoniccraftstudios.com/. I keep meaning to paint them, but they look really good out of the box.
+WarGamerGirl I was just surprised when your menoth opponent rolled a 5 took the Wrack off the table. in Mark 2, they didn't explode unless you rolled a 1,2 or 3. he rolled a 5 and still took it off.
wow that was quick! Your Nyss just can not catch a break lol last time you used them they were wiped out in a similar fashion. Thank you love your batreps :)
I gotta agree with the Zealots here, They really can make things harder for you on their feat turn. Also maybe the Nyss could get help from Valachev... That way they can get some needed protection, well not with Harkevich though, during that instance I think it would've been better to bring the Winterguard in.
+SuaveNerd2000 I'm not sure the WGI wouldn't have been much better off unless I was making good tough rolls. They can bob and weave to get up to DEF 14 but once engaged in melee they aren't really good at getting out of it. My thought for bringing the Nyss was that they were an independent unit that wouldn't need support from Harkevich and could handle themselves in melee. Really I could have positioned them better to not get quite so many caught in Kreoss' feat, but I was getting worried the Zealots would reach Harkevich and set him on fire. =)
+Mike Rogers Yeah, it's always a question I ask myself during gameplay but really Harkevich needs to camp focus most of the game so it's too risky in most cases. Harkevich with a Victor however...it's probably worth the risk =)
Yes! Thank you Miranda! I have been wanting to see you fight against Protectorate!
+fmacanadaguy I'm glad you liked it! =)
typical game with kreoss. Kreoss advance, feat, half of the opponent army dies, then kreoss die after being shot by the 3 guys remaning
Thought Khador was in trouble there for a minute. Yeah once you lost those Hunters it became a game of Kill the Caster.
Thanks for the plug! Still, wow. Short, sweet, but still fun to watch!

Although I'm a Cygnaran man I enjoyed watching Kreoss get blown to bits by Khador. Great work on the batrep!
Bulldoze is game winning on so many levels; it's seriously underestimated. The ability to just walk through enemy lines to reach what you want is so powerful.
+Fraggloid Yes it's an incredibly overlooked ability. I love when I get to make use of it!
What a fast game. That shot out of nowhere on Kreoss, damn! I love that kind of thing.
Good game.
+Universum Yeah total opportunistic shot there, it surprised us both haha.
+WarGamerGirl Aren't the objectives still considered large base models? If so wouldn't the objective and errant seneschal effectively blocked line of sight from Black Ivan to Kreoss?

+Kevin Turner Thank you!
At least you were able to study up on your opponent. A stack of textbooks does come in handy! Thanks for the battle report as always - makes painting an easy affair.
Wow, that was quick. Looking forward to the MK3 batreps!
Khador ranged attacks win again!
Amazing tactical demolisher play!

Love the arc markers on the Khador units! That's badass! :D
Hark in MK2 with 5 demolishers, a WG DS, and in theme was beast and broke my local meta.
Miranda, there is a noticeable drop off in your MKIII battle reports. No 75 point games? Are you disappointed with the new version or just busy with normal life stuff?
I just got back from hosting Valhalla. I'll have more time to work on battle reports now!
You guys play in Albuquerque? Where do you play, cause in SE NM there isn't a whole lotta places to play anything.
I play at Active Imagination and Twin Suns in Albuquerque. Are you around Hobbs? Carlsbad? I know there is a game store in Roswell. Though last I checked, they played mostly 40k and Malifaux.

Doesnt the Objetive block Line of Sight to Kreoss at the time of shooting him? I mean Black ivan's shot
+TheJoe Ah the angle on that isn't great unfortunately. The was a small gap that Black Ivan was able to draw line of sight to Kreoss through. At the end the Demolisher had a clear line on Kreoss. =)
Wowza! That ending was unexpected!
Also, it's nice to see the good guys fighting on your channel for once. :P

I'm sure you have posted it some where or have been asked, but where did you get the objective markers from?
+Jonathan Scoggins Those come from Techtonic Craft Studios: tectoniccraftstudios.com/. I keep meaning to paint them, but they look really good out of the box.
Thanks, always enjoy your Khador games keep'em coming.

+CrazyGunWielder Oh I know! Cylena just relives the death of her comrades repeatedly when I bring them. Poor girl.
And this is exactly why Eyriss is getting changed, looking forward to Mk3. Good Batrep Miranda, hope to see a lot once the new edition is out :)
+2swissCommentators Eiryss is definitely a tilting model so I'm glad for the change too. Mk3 is going to be an exciting release. =)
Great repoert as always:) Also thank you for using "Protectorate" instead of "Menoth" for the name of the faction! :)

love your videos! I wish more wargamers made videos with your skill
I haven't watched this video, but I feel like mass units have a serious advantage in this game because of the dice rolls.
I like Karchev will be getting jumpstart too!
Nice job. That's how Hark does it, lots of jack pain. You also didn't waste focus on broadside so good playing overall.
+Mike Rogers Yeah, it's always a question I ask myself during gameplay but really Harkevich needs to camp focus most of the game so it's too risky in most cases. Harkevich with a Victor however...it's probably worth the risk =)
+WarGamerGirl With two for sure. Even though MK3 will change some things lets hope Hark stays about the same.
Zealots + UA are one of the best packages in Menoth, at least in mk2
+WarGamerGirl Great Battle report overall. I've just subbed in so keep up the good work! :)
This just makes me want Harkevich even more....
hey are you going to be going to lock and load?
+Canadianguyfyi I will be missing L&L this year unfortunately. Perhaps I'll get to be there for the announcement of the new Hordes faction. =)
Please do more :)
It's Should Have Turned Left: Sober Edition!
:P
'Should of turned left' haha took me a minuet or two to get that
+Nik Dumont At least you got it!
Amazing game and presentation and you are beautiful yet even greater tactical leader.
love your vids
woot! good game^^
I need to learn to look at comments after the video when its a wargaming video.
Huzzah!
That's how to assassinate with khador
arguably more effective then retributions garryth and house sheeyl artificer combo.
Looks like someone plays drunk too much.. hehe
9 minutes of battle.
10 minutes and 37 seconds of analysis.
Something... somewhere... went badly wrong.
