I rented a MicroKorg about 9 years ago from the local music shop, and used it a lot on my recordings, however, didn’t keep it because the condition wasn’t up to par. Finally bought a brand new one recently. Thanks for refreshing my memory with your vid. Enjoyed watching it!!!
I like how you broke down the way to use this. I've had my eyes on the microkorg for some time, and everytime I choose something else, I always find myself coming back to it. now I'm going to officially get this.
I just saw this dude comment about this female reviewer and her sensual hand movements in demoing the Digitakt. She got pissed. But this just the tip situation was a little out of hand.
If you don't like reading.... 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 I have had 3 micros over the past 22 years. Not until I got this 3rd one did I have the knowledge of analogue synths and starting messing with initialized patches. The wave tables, LFOs, the envelope generator... even the arppegiator: the micro korg is incredibly deep! It's truly the synth that keeps on giving! Oh... and F*&K yeah the stock A72 sounds like DA-DA-DOOKIE! As does A11 I think. A lot of them are so dated, but that's the beauty of the edit 1 & 2 and that lovely little tables of words that most folks tend to completely ignore 😅! Great video, love the sense of humor. (This... is a microphone 😅😅😅)
@@shadeshiest22 $255.00 It is in great condition. No Vocoder though. Currently sitting in my gig bag. I love it! Massive learning curve, but watched a few vids and kinda just went from there. Def. recommend it! 100%...
nice demo, i have a microkorg i have used it for a few years and i still find new stuff all the time. Im far from an expert and i cant really play the keyboard but i use it for sampling with my kaoss pad3s, ive managed to make a few patches just messing around really, would you consider making a video tutorial on making them, its hard to find good microkorg tutorials im looking to make drum and bass style synths and basslines also edm style dark synths.peace
HOW DO YOU GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL(CUTOFF, RESO, ATTACK) EFFECTS SETTINGS AFTER VISITING ANOTHER LIKE DELAY OR LFO... I CANT GET BACK TO THEM ONCE I STRAY
Two questions. 1. Have you also got a microKorg XL tutorial? That's the model I've got, and I've become way too accustomed to its presets to even THINK about changing them. I'd like a helper to shake off that mentality. 2. What's that synthesizer below the microKorg?
Awesome video, I've been looking at getting one of these for a while now, this video helped my decision hugely. One question, how did you customise the colour? I see you painted it, but how have you still got all the original print on the face? Looks so cool.
Could someone please help, how do I add vibrato to an existing preset (A56 on vintage/hip hop) the mod wheel just controls the volume of this preset but I really need to get vibrato to it. Thank you.
Hey man, I hope you can help me, I wonder if you can see a numeric value of the tempo on the screen when you use the arpergiator so i can syncronice it with my kronos, someone told me that you only can see the led to know the tempo. Also, is this a good synth for psychedelic atmospheres/pads?
+Carlos Alberto Araya Flores podés editar el tiempo usando las perillas, desde la parte de arpegiator, una de las combinaciones es TEMPO, fijate en el display impreso debajo de las perillas cual es la que corresponde.
Oh boy! I really could use some help. This synth might be what I'm looking for, but I don't know. I was wondering if I gave you the name of a song, the link to it here on UA-cam, if you could possibly help me out to find out if the Microkorg can do those sounds.
Great tutorial! I've been playing with mine with only headphones. Could you recommend me an inexpensive monitor setup? Speakers, amp, etc. under $200. Thanks.
+camerondpack KRKs are pretty nice. I got a pair of JBLs on sale for about $200. I highly recommend buying from Sweetwater. They won't try to rip you off
im just looking for a synth that i can use to record something and then have it loop forever while i play something over it. for example play for 4 cords and have them loop and then play the melody over it without having to play both at once, if you know a synth that can do this and it is fairly cheap cold you please link me

Hey guys, I got my micro Korg pretty new and wonder how I can switch back to the main nobs (being 1=Cutoff; 2=Resonance; 3=Attack...etc. ) after setting up my Arp on EDIT SELECT 2. Can anybody help me?
It's nice someone finally posted a video who actually knows how to operate this thing lol

Bought one as well, have you tried to sync a drum machine up to it ? can't seem to find a good tutorial.
"Read a book, stay in school, and use your microkorg." - Psalms 27:3
Amen to that.
HAHAHA!! Words of fucking wisdom!
& let’s not forget the jazz fingers 5 seconds before he said that
hahahah I love it!
Haha just read that few seconds before he said it
This was a fantastic quick overview. I had literally no idea how to edit on this thing. Humor greatly enjoyed. Keep it up

The way you tease with your plugs at 0:40 is so sensual.

i'm so in love w the microkorg. love this tutorial too cuz you got some humour.
dude this is the best tutorial out there lol. I just picked up one of these so you definitely helped a ton.
This is so helpful - many many thanks. The manual was hurting my head.
Not only was that video very informative, but I laughed my butt off! Great video, very entertaining!
Cheers!!!
I have wanted one of these for years but I always end up buying something else - but now you just totally won me over :)
I love how sarcastic this guy is

I like your sense of humor.

nice video man, did find it funny giving up filming inserting the quarter inch jacks lol !
I like the black one better, but maybe I'd like the standard color better if black was standard...
***** we actually painted it black for that very reason
I have a black one
i got into 0:22 seconds and i was sold. 🔥🔥🔥👹
listen too 0:02 Amazeballs
Great vid. you are hilarious! I love my MicroKorg! I would never sell it :)
That knob removal @ 8:15 LOLOL
Thanks a tonne mate. Great video very easily accessible for a noob like me :)
Awesome! Can you make the jump van Halen sound?
Cool video, thanks for sharing .
excelente mi bro
how did you find one that was black and not the stardard beige / green?
We custom painted this one with the black parts. It was already disassembled for repairs so we took the opportunity for a quick recolor.
Great review! Thanks! My friend really likes your arms btw, hahaha

great bro i learned a lot
Is it possible to make a non stop loop with this microkorg
cool black MK.
How did you paint it?
I was planning to change my MK color years ago
but I'm still considering spraying or painting.
It comes in black!?! Dammit! I want to trade mine in now

So what about when the power button is shut off? Are the patches and settings still there?
Amazing bro;)

Fortunately, MicroKorg is a poor man's BMW!
I wanna know how you painted this bad boy!
I am wanting to get one what do I have to plug it into does it have built in speakers
God, I want one!
Hi fellow person. Do you know any way to assign the 5 knobs to different parameters (for example the lfo speed etc)

Getting it to be a midi controller is a beotch...i need a midi setup tutorial cuz there are too many steps for me and its my only hope
B.72 is a good setting for Trap
can you connect this to a roland KC-350 keyboard amp? how?
BOOM
is it repainted or its a new version?
Does this work with Ableton?
I’ve yet to have as much fun on my Minilogue Xd as much as I do on my MickroKorg Vintage Gold.
can this record what you play?
How do I save patches then upload to puter?

Yamaha Reface DX has a looper, great for ideas, It doesn’t record pitch bend movements but it’s a pretty fun fm synthesizer and easy to create sounds.
does it has usb port ?
After you have edited from the matrix, how do you bring knob 1 back to cutoff?

+Phil Tipping great tip!
how play eletric guitar with microkorg mk1
Can I just use the mic normally? so my voice isn't all weird like that?
+SuperShrooms no.
Hey guys, I got my micro Korg pretty new and wonder how I can switch back to the main nobs (being 1=Cutoff; 2=Resonance; 3=Attack...etc. ) after setting up my Arp on EDIT SELECT 2. Can anybody help me?
I just save what i have then switch turn the genre knob to a different setting and then switch back it should bring it back to the main parameters
is 200 cash for a perfectly working one worth it?
Yes 👍🏻
i don't know why you would wan to do that either man
"Why would you want to do that? I don't know."
It always bothered me that 12 o’clock isn’t perfectly straight...
