The problem is less with AI „taking over“ and not doing what we want anymore, but more about it doing EXACTLY what we want. Want it to minimize human suffering? Easy! No humans, no suffering. 😂 So just like with children we don‘t have to be worried as long as we don‘t give them control over stuff they shouldn‘t have.

There‘s another less deadly version, where an AI ‚solved‘ the issue of sorting Data as fast as possible by simply deleting all of it. Or another quite funny one where AI was supposed to move a 6 legged spider kind model with minimal ground contact and it reached a „solution“ with 0% contact by simply flipping the model and walking on the knee joints, since only the tips of the feet were defined as „ground contact“. It‘s these little things that humans didn‘t think about that ca fuck up the thing the AI was supposed to do. So of course (hopefully) no one would give AI access to any essential infrastructure.
