Check out the transition from the machine to the carousel at 3:46 on the left hand side... absolutely incredible. The blending of physical sets and projections is stunning.
That entire effect is basically 25 years of trying to figure out how to pull it off... They first really started exploring it with fantasmic- but it wasn't close... illuminations ROE and World of Color really started laying a foundation... This ride they basically said- we know how to do all of this- lets plus it!
@@bdawg6 Thanks Captain Obvious. This person made this fake Bob Chapek account when he was announced as CEO and now comments in different Disney videos. The real Bob wouldn't spend his time on UA-cam while running a giant corporation. I just like replying to him like he's the real Bob. ☺
It's kind of weird to think what this ride must be like from the engine's perspective. It does the first two scenes, then completely skips over the majority of the ride and comes out at the finale, meeting with a different group of train cars from the one it left with. It basically reopens it's doors for the ending just a few seconds after closing them in the tunnel.
This video is gold. THANK YOU FOR SHARING IT WITH US! I spent over an hour looking at every little thing. It is absolutely amazing how everything works together to create this disney magic. I even saw a scene reset completely and begin serving the next group of people in the Daisey's Ball Room as you're leaving it! Nice catch! 03:36
If you look up, you see projections pointing down. I think the images cast a shadow exactly where the car is. If it's done that way, I am very impressed.
Did they adjust the car profile? Didn't the 4th car usually miss out on the tornado beginnings, or where it went from tropical to lava? Seemed like the 4th car was more caught up in this video

Wow, it's amazing to see how scenes behind you reset for the next group of people.
Watching this on my PlayStation VR makes me feel like in there. Thank you for this
Finally Mickey and Minnie have their own ride
Hey Bob, please hurry up and demolish TOMORROWLAND at DISNEYLAND. It's a very outdated land and needs new attractions for the 21st century!
@@TheOwlCreek That's not the real Bob

That Factory illusion tho!
After 91 years of waiting Mickey and minnie finally got their own attraction ride at Disney's Hollywood studios in Orlando Florida
Jeff Kane While Disneyland has to wait two more years.
Perfect now I can see everything
I know and there’s so much attention to detail In all of it
I LOVE this. i also figured out that you tilt a little in the drop ride, although i wasn't there.
I would totally be doing the conga in my seat

The scene from volcano to underwater is breathtaking... at 1:59, even the ground is a screen ? How is it done ????? 😱
No, its just a very big screen
It's a wrap around the vehicle screen , there are a few next to each other , it's very similar as in Ratatouille Ride .
If you look up, you see projections pointing down. I think the images cast a shadow exactly where the car is. If it's done that way, I am very impressed.
@1:21 Mickey: hot dog! There they are! Minnie: Yoo-Hoo we’ll be right down. Me: ITS A TWISTER ITS A TWISTER WE’RE GONNA DIE!!!

Thanks for the video. I'm really looking forward to 360's from the other cars!
I find it easy to move the camera around when I watch this through the Nintendo switch on the UA-cam app
I wonder where Goofy go
The front train with goofy goes around the whole ride through a secret path and waits there until the end where they all join back together
Mickey Minnie help us we’re stuck on a runaway train
3:01 one two three
is there a water effect you know by get a little spray when they go to the falls
No water but there is wind.
Is that Jeff Lange and Denise Preskett sitting in the row in front of you?
King Mystery Figure it could be but idk
Yes, it is.

Yes, yes it was.

I have yet to see a single one of these videos without somebody holding up a recording device.
Kwan Cheng right?! I wish people would enjoy it for real instead of through their screens.
The irony of leaving this comment on a video that one of these people filmed... The only reason you are getting to enjoy it is the same thing you are criticizing riders for
That's because most of the videos online were filmed during the media event.
Why are you watching videos of the ride if you hate the idea of someone recording on the ride? Do you even hear yourself right now?
I hate it
The dance studio makes no sense in the context of a runaway train, and the animation style is very dated. This ride will not age well.
