    Join us virtually for a new series called Life Beyond the Coop. In this discussion, hear from fellow Bantams on mental health including stigma, access to care, coping mechanisms, and the role of societal factors.
    Haben Abraham, LCSW, SIFI ’10 is a licensed clinical therapist and speaker on mental wellness, trauma-informed approaches and inclusion and helps people design fuller lives on their terms. Haben is the current director of Trinity's Counseling and Wellness Center and oversees mental health operations and programming on-campus. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and a City Commissioner on the Permanent Commission on the Status of Hartford Women. At Trinity, Abraham earned a B.A. with honors in international studies: global studies and minored in Community Action and Spanish language. Abraham earned a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Advanced Practice and Programming, International Social Welfare and minor in Business Administration from Columbia University in 2012. Haben has completed research and social justice initiatives both domestically and abroad in South America and the Caribbean.
    Amy Ramirez, LCSW ’11 is a District Social Work Coach, Principal Fellow for Hartford Public Schools, and a Bilingual Mental Health Clinician with Hartford Psychological Services. Amy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has over a decade of experience working in the fields of Mental Health and Education, working with children, adolescents, and adults. Prior to taking the role as a District Coach in 2021, Amy was a Certified School Social Worker at SAND School in Hartford, Lead School and Community Support Site Coordinator, Bilingual Mental Health Clinician at Community Mental Health Affiliates, as well as held many roles within the mental health field in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. Amy is a 2011 graduate of Trinity College majoring in Sociology and Theater and Dance. Amy earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Connecticut in 2014 with a concentration in Policy Practice and Puerto Rican/Latin@ Studies. In addition, Amy holds an Intermediate Administrator Certification (092) in Educational Leadership from Sacred Heart University and is in the process of receiving her Sixth-Year Degree in Social, Emotional & Academic Learning (SEAL) for Social Justice Leadership from Sacred Heart University.
