Everybody is saying “omg I never liked her”. Like I seriously loved Ellen and knowing she’s rude really makes me upset. It seems I’m the only one who’s said it.
That’s because people are jumping on a bandwagon and feel special if they say they never liked her or knew she was like this... in reality Ellen was always loved and deemed cute,funny awkward. Now that we know she is actually rude and not how we thought she was, it’s just disheartening.

They have cue cards that list the talking points the guest and her figured out to discuss in advance. They don't just randomly ask questions that lead to anecdotes the guest is ready to speak. It's all pre-planned and cue cards give them that info. (David Letterman and other late night guests had index cards they'd hold but they were on camera.)

I think a lot of the things she’s done with guests would probably be seen as sexual harassment if it wasn’t Ellen. Like organising surprise lap dances from half naked strangers without getting people’s consent first, for example. I hate her interviews. It's like she's not even listening to what the other person has to say, she just wants to stick to the "script" or story she has prepared. I remember her interviewing One Direction and it was embarassing to watch; she kept blatantly ignoring everyone but harry styles and kept pushing him to reveal some juicy stories about his sex life. You could actually see it in their faces they were annoyed as hell.
she basically did the same with BTS. all she wanted to know is if they were dating or not, both times they appeared on her show. she didn't even really care about the real fans that were waiting outside the studio, she paid people to cheer for bts like they were their fans......and didn't bother to learn anything about them, literally only used them because they were suddenly famous.... i liked her mostly for her haunted house, but even that got tiresome when you could tell that andy really didn't like it and despite basically being her boss, she was the one running the show and he suffered for it.

I think a lot of the things she’s done with guests would probably be seen as sexual harassment if it wasn’t Ellen. Like organising surprise lap dances from half naked strangers without getting people’s consent first, for example. This is really unrelated but I just wanted to say how cool it is to watch a video by a Dutch UA-camr about another Dutch UA-camr. My family is from a place in South America called Suriname and the main language there is Dutch so it’s weird to think that there are mainstream UA-camrs that speak my mother tongue. IDEK 😂
