even back in the 1960's we NEVER cut the belt...we slid the free end under the right side of the belt..just like you see in the video...we did the same in the military....NEVER cut the webbing,,,it will unravel from the cut end and leave you a ruined belt..then we adjusted the belt buckle and "cheeked up" with the end of the belt's metal "lip"...same with the military ..metal to metal...And yes, I did have a camping /regular buckle AND a polished "ceremonial" buckle...I came from a very military family.....I even tucked my boot laces into my hiking boots so they stayed tied and dry...hahahahaha !!!
Thanks for commenting and sharing your tips for your bootlaces. There are probably a lot of females who were unaware of tucking the free end into the back of the belt. I'm sure most males knew this technique. :) Thanks for watching.
Thank you! That really helped me with my boys cubscout uniform
Thanks for watching & commenting! Yes, any chance we can get to not spend on more uniform accessories is a plus! 🤣

Any advice for someone who did cut the belt? It was labeled cut to fit so that’s what I did…
LOL! Maybe that’s where I got the idea! Now I know when I get a buckle that doesn’t require holes! Thanks for watching & commenting.
