When using powders for coloring, try putting the powder in first and then pour the resin on top of the powder, easier to mix. Putting the powder on top of the resin, the powder tends to clump up and separate, making it harder to mix it in thoroughly.

@@EjoysArtSpace29 I have been mixing concrete and mortar for over thirty years, and I always put the powdery mix in first, and then add my water. So it just made sense to me that this may be of the same type of situation. Anyway, just a suggestion. Have a nice day!

Thank you 😊 it's okay to use acrylic paint but you must use the best quality. I suggest that you buy resin pigments too because it gives different effect on your project. Mica powders too are essential

I have a query ,You've mentioned that mica is used in eyeshadows .., so can we use expired eyeshadow as resin pigment ? Have you tried it ??

Glitter is enough. But if you want to create your own design, you can add color too

I know nothing about resin but I tried a casting resin to make wings for the sculpted fairies in my fairy garden and they all broke and got strange bubbles or something. Is there a brand and type you’d recommend for anything outdoors? I’ve heard certain types can’t go outside because of UV rays or something, I’m also trying to make a rather thick cylinder sorta shaped piece that curves. I just have no idea where to begin with all things resin

No. You can't oil-based with resin.

I did try using acrylic paint but it didn't work for me 'cause resin nd paint literally got seperated while mixing
You need to mix until they blend together. Choose good quality of acrylic paint.

Yup
Just be aware that alcohol ink will fade quickly in direct sun light. there are a lot of YT video's on this also many vids on which resins will yellow in sun light.

If you have texture under, you can first brush it with mica powder then pour resin on it 😊
