    Well this may seem like I’m writing this a little late but just had a chance to re re watch this and just wanted to say I enjoyed it as much again today as I did when I watched this in my life before I had a UA-cam channel days. I wish you all the best as we fly into this brave new world from here on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, west coast of Florida USA!

    I drove buses on the tarmac from T4 and T5 to AA Eagle a couple of years ago. It was great seeing your very interesting well made video.
    When flying from LAX I am always on the right side of the plane. Nice to finally see on the other side. Thanks!!!!!

    If the clouds had not increased, this flight would've provided great views of Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef & Arches National Parks as well as the Rockies.
    Thx for loading these videos! ;-)

    I think you have the most educational aviation videos on UA-cam. Good going! I really get a very good idea of how fast things pass by as you're flying above them. What a wonderful job.

    Awesome close-up of Mt. Wilson observatory. For excellent views of the LA Basin (not from an airplane), you can drive to the top of the mountain and look out over the valley. Sometimes you will see paragliders jumping off.

    Great video, I can see Santa Monica, BH, Century city, Hollywood the San Fernando Valley in its entirety, Glendale, Pasadena part of the Santa Clarita and Antelope valleys.
    I took the same route but to Chicago, I was amazed how steep the San Gabriel mountains are!

    Wow -- nice camera work! First impression is that 10,000 feet doesn't seem all that high. That would be like standing atop Mt. Baldy -- and this is what the view would look like from that elevation.
    Second impression is that its amazing how close the San Fernando Valley is to the Pacific Ocean, yet that valley is usually about 25-30 degrees warmer than Malibu in the summer. Those hills really block that cool ocean air!

    Are you aware that the airconditioner sound is overwhelming the sound of the airplane? It's very hard to hear the sound of those engines.

      Thanks for viewing and commenting. Clarity is what's left after I've tossed out the blurry parts! :D Yes, it was just a mid-priced Sony point-and-shoot camera with 30X zoom.

    The visuals were outstanding, breathtaking in many instances! But that incessant noise coming from somewhere in the cabin throughout the greatest part of the flight had me on edge the whole time I was watching this; making it very difficult for me to enjoy what was otherwise a great video.

  • @heatherstub
    @heatherstub 7 років тому +1

    I could hear
    them at takeoff, but I couldn't hear too much during the taxi. I could hear the engines at times, but the sound quality is what I call cramped.

    What was the point of putting links in the videos? You think people are too stupid to do a google search and are actually going to write down those links?

    • @backpacktrot
      @backpacktrot  7 років тому +2

      Thanks for you interest. URLs acknowledge & indicate the source of my info & invite viewers to Google for further research if interested,. If they like the free Wiki info that I've provided, maybe they might even be kind enough to donate the $3 that Wikipedia's Jimmy has been pleading for ...?
      As for whether or not I think "people are too stupid to do a google search," one viewer asked in the comment section of another video of mine today what would the cheapest way to get from somewhere in London to Kings Cross Station. I presume most travellers would have been "wise" enough to Google or go to TripAdvisor instead ...? But instead of preferring to be negatively judgemental like some of my viewers tend to be, I think of the child who is under the care of an adult who is a positive role model. The family is going on a trip, and the adult is trying to encourage the child to start learning to plan travel on the Internet and, to get this process in gear, the child asks his or first question on line .... We never know the background of who might be viewing our videos or commenting on them, so I just adopt the positive view that no one is "too stupid'"' to do anything. :D
      Thanks again for you views and comment.

    The F/A making announcements, once airborne and on arrival, must have been a must hire of some kind ! Awful vernacular!
