    Honestly my favorite thing about Disclosure is that they are very experimental. They release tracks that sound incredibly different from the one before. So to the people who keep asking them to write songs like Latch or even older tracks like Tenderly and Flow. They won't. They are going to make whatever they feel like making. They're the artist so they should decide what to make, They are the ones who spend countless hours in the studio probably running on minimal hours of sleep to write. So it's only fair to let them do what they want and not tell them what to make.

      Bethany Penardo I'm actually not a fan of vocals at all, chorus isn't great either. Of course like you said, they should always be looking for new ideas as they produce their content. If they keep recycling the same stuff, it will become a chore.
      There are elements which sound pretty cool actually, especially 2:49 to 3:42. But the chorus, actually scratch that from not being great, it's terrible. I'll still be looking forward for more content from them to splash out.

      Nexa its not a chorus. songs like these dont have choruses

    • @nexa6280
      @nexa6280 9 років тому

      MrStuielooie lmao yes it is. Otherwise you can categorise it as the 'drop' in this case. A chorus doesn't have to be lyrically based.

      Bethany Penardo i would agree if this was experimental... but it is in no way... checkout dirtybird records.. checkout killfrenzy... they've been doing this sound for ages.. and come on.. "twerk it twerk it"? seriously?

    • @stevenlanting
      @stevenlanting 9 років тому +1

      Bethany Penardo this is the least experimental direction Disclosure have gone! Derivative ghetto house without the expletive laced, sultry vocals that are almost embarrassing and make ghetto house worth listening to. If you want this, but then better and from way back, check out some DJ Deeon or old Dance Mania records.

    For everyone judging it for it's 'simplicity' and 'blandness' - do remember it's a song for their DJ sets, which means its going to be much more house-like and beat-based.

    This song reminds me of songs that you would be likely to here in clubs in the 90's (being a 90's child, I don't know if that's true?) But it definitely sounds like 90's garage. So I'm assuming that the majority people hating on this song are little 12 year old kids who haven't got a clue what 90's garage sounds like, so they say it is "bland"... Please don't... Seriously.. You obviously don't understand it, and you probably don't understand that is was pretty popular. :)

    I doubt that the people who don't like this song would stop dancing if this song came on

    FAO: All the people with their monocles on in an uproar at this tune.
    Get yourself down to a good house night or festival and when this drops, look at how "bland" the dance floor is. This is a banger, you lot are mad.

    I'm hearing Chicago Acid House, Belgian New Beat & UK Acid House of 86-90 (Beltram, Praga Khan, Flesh, & that house that Jack built 😉) all mashed up in there .. I bet this will cut some shapes in a field as the Sun sets in 2015...
    Rave On 😈
