@@nguyentandung42 yet its still one of the most popular mods? its not like they're making it from scratch which would be way easier to choreograph a bossfight imo, and plus they did heavy graphical reworks/creations to a few bosses eidolon wyrm (partially), SCAL, Draedon. And its not like th graphics are bad, but doing something off of something already built is difficult enough, they have to worry about balancing and bug fixes, not just bossfights, appreciate the mod a little more and you'll have better days.
My jaw dropped when phase 2 began. The visuals are actually incredible, just imagine if all the calamity bosses were given this treatment when it came to visuals during the fight.
@@heitorboladao2166 the one thing calamity relies on with most of its bosses is trying to memorize all of the attack patterns so the player has to try the boss multiple times and probably die once on each phase
@@heitorboladao2166 Calamity neglects heavy visuals to put more content into the game without spending too much time and beefing the mod to the extent where many won’t be able to run it. Check out the Split mod! Nice visuals and interesting bosses

Especially with some of the new weapon updates, I think it's very slowly-but-gradually making it to the "next generation" of mods pioneered by Starlight River.

I saw "reworked Calamity boss" and was expecting a fairly simple rework, some fine-tuning here or there. Instead I get one of the coolest looking bosses I've ever seen. I was impressed by the first stage, it looked fun and the spritework is amazing, but phase 2 and 3 blew my mind with the fight boundary. Conceptually awesome, visually stunning, amazing work!
This is really good. Never thought I'd see the beautiful sprites and intense absurdity of Calamity combined and refined with the uniqueness and attention to special effects on Split.
This is one of the most beautiful, creative, and unique boss fights I've ever seen, I'll definitely be using this mod for my next Calamity playthrough!
I like how this boss follows a specific patterm, hard but memorable, compared to Scalamitas which relies heavily on reaction. this one as a bullet hell enjoyer, this fits my description of a well made boss for a person who relies more on to pattern memorization Very challenging with every death being 'you' as the reason. everything just gives me the pleasure of sight just seeing it, from the sprite to how it rains bullets on you and to how it attacks you. It's a mix of of EoL and EoC and kingslime It rams you, it stomps you then it rains projectiles over you which I would say, it's pretty awesome.
I also love bullet hells, and i have to say that this boss seems to be so fun, since it clearly shows where and what It is doing, you just need to memorize the pattern, and every death is your fault, boy i wish scal was like that instead of a rng bullet hell, such a Shame
This is yet another mod that attempts to "get rid of" the normal Terraria game play and sprites, and dammit does it succeed. This mod is so awesome, and I love it.
Tried this boss out now that it's public, kicked my ass yesterday but today I managed to clear it. Really cool boss, I like that getting to phase 2 will make him automatically spawn in phase 2 (you can right click the spawner if you still want to fight phase 1 first). It makes the second phase a lot easier to grind out attempts on, as you don't have to get through the easier part just to practice it again. It's something I really appreciated about the nebuleus rework in mod of redemption and it fits nicely here with phase 2 being such a huge jump in difficulty from phase 1.
First we have Subspace Serpent redefining worm bosses, now it’s slime bosses’ turn with the abandoned Astrageldon Slime, coming back more powerful than ever. Very challenging but fair mechanics reminiscent of Fargo’s style, coupled with the stunning visual makes you feel like you are fighting with an actual star. Really hoping to see more creations like this in the future of terraria modding.
I haven't played Terraria for a while now (waiting for TMod 1.4), but this looks absolutely incredible, no clue how they did so much insane stuff with terraria's engine!
This feels like the Empress of Light of Calamity mod ngl, it's really cool, difficult, and the drops are amazing. It could also be fought anywhere during Hardmode.
The people working at Catalyst had no right to go so hard, and yet they delivered a bossfight so good to even compare to the standard Calamity fights, god damn

Wow Thanks for the very helpful video! I didn't know that this mod existed it's very cool looking! The last time I fought Astrageldon Slime was when it was a blob that is purple and orange (I dont remember much since it was a long while ago) this video was very helpful and fun to watch
I didn't even know this wasn't an official part of calamity, it feels so at home in the mod. While I can't say I'm particularly optimistic in regards to its update direction, I can't deny that its presentation is simply unrivaled. This mod add-on somehow nailed that presentation.

I swear recently mods have been pushing the boundaries of what is even possible in Terraria. This is one of the most polished, impressive boss fights I have EVER seen in this game. The future of Terraria is bright with mods like this keeping it well and truly alive!

Gotta say that the partical effects are amazing. I even like how the end of the bossfight just looks like a universe turning inside-out.

This one mob, this one singular boss outclasses 95% of every other mod available for Terraria. Amazing work on the developers part.
For a pre moon lord boss, the second phase already feels like it could have final boss potential.
