Romantica - Emmanuel Séjourné. Conrado Moya, marimba

- Conrado Moya, marimba and percussion soloist, performs Romantica by the French composer Emmanuel Séjourné in its version for marimba solo. This work is part of "Silentium", Conrado Moya's first marimba solo album.
Romantica was inicially conceived as the second movement of Emmanuel Séjurné's "Suite" for marimba solo and four percussionists. In 2007, Séjourné made an arragement of this second movement. The result was an independent new piece written just for marimba, unaccompanied. Nevertheless, this latest version keeps intact the essence of the composer's style: full of tenderness, but also intensely passionate. The score is published by Norsk Musikforlag.
Stay tuned for new releases!

Anyone else listening to this......every day .......????????????..
Those rolls make my ears travel into another dimension
There are MANY marimba players who have inspired me, motivated me, impressed me, and dazzled me, but few have moved me *emotionally* and touched my *heart* as strongly as Conrado has..... In my opinion, Conrado has an innate understanding of the emotional and story-telling power of each note of a piece, an insight into the innate voices and power of the marimba, through both talent and many hours of practice, that few of us will ever be able to grasp ....
Wunderschöne Interpretation Conrado! Es hat mein Herz berührt.

absolutely stunning ! what kind of combination of resonators and bars is the marimba ?
Thanks, Finn! It's a Marimba One (Soloist model) with Classic resonators and Premium keyboard.
Cheers! is there a reason you didnt chose Basso Bravo?
It was just a personal choice ;)
Conrado, what mallets are you using in this? they look like MarimbaOne mallets, but I Ann unsure which ones
Hey man! Are you doing a really fast independent roll in your left hand and a double vertical roll in your right, or are they both really fast double vertical rolls?
He did vertical rolls on both but a lot of the time his note placement was staggered creating the effect of the double independent roll.
Hi, what mallets are you using?
It's not the mallets, its how you approach the instrument starting with yourself.
I think Marimba One's Katarzyna Mycka model, 3x KMB4, 1x KMB7.
Darrin Cheng that’s not true, your mallets definitely matter.
Mike R Phone ladies it’s okay, you’re both pretty.
I would argue that the mallet choice matters less than how you actually use them. In my opinion, the multi-tonal Van Sice’s are the most superior mallet on the market. But if you can’t actively control the multiple different colors that you can get out of those mallets, they’re not any better than any other mallet or similar quality build.
A bad choice in mallets can make an otherwise great performance suboptimal, but a great performance will never happen if the player can’t perform the piece well regardless of mallet choice.
