thanks for creating chill quality content from the heart. i barely care for any food bloggers anymore these days, but seeing a new upload from you always gets me excited~
Your videos are something special, this is some of the best food content on youtube for sure. Thanks for always highlighting local spots in the bay!!! ❤❤❤
Great video man. As as first gen asian kid from the Bay, I love the respect and beautiful combining of culture from all these chefs and their restaurants.
As a 1.5/2nd generation Korean American who grew up in the East Bay, I love this video man I remember growing up in the late 2000s my parents would take us to that Asian Plaza in Oakland out of necessity, now there are Asian food malls all over
“gluttony without finesse is barbaric” the way bro chooses to eat is finesse lol loved the video dude. such a clear distinction from whatever direction food blogging is going on in social media. You passion really shows. its endearing and motivating.
Mixing flavors from cultures is natural and wonderful. Restaurants, especially in the early 2000s, made a big push to do and they named their effort “fusion”. They tried too hard and too often got it wrong. When someone connected to multiple cultures does it and does it genuinely, it’s unbeatable.
Highlights from the clip: 1. Yet another guest appearance (this time with voice over!) of your lovely wife's fabulous pink nails complementing the pink frosting on that ginormous croissant 2. That decadent plate of barbecued meats 3. Confusion vs fusion in pairing up flavors from diverse cultures
as an ABC 90s kid too, I just want to say this video was awesome and totally struck a chord with me. We're actually so blessed to have grown up in a household and community so rich in culture (and deliciousness). Can't wait to try some of these. Beef rendang is my kryptonite. What a time to be alive! and asian!
Loved this video. Thank you. Have you tried the newly opened AAPI owned brewery in Albany called Match Point Brewing? They’re great! 310 Eatery next door is serving up some awesome Asian fusion burgers and classic dim sum that you can enjoy with a pint. I recommend the Vietnamese Coffee Dark Lager.
Great content dude! Really resonate with your perspective on food. Would just say that your subtitles need to bigger or have a background/more contrast bc it’s kind of hard to see. Keep it up bro!
I get the feeling you'd be the guy to ask - is there anywhere in Chinatown still selling Bak kwa? There was a place I went to as a kid in the 90's but it's not three anymore and I've been craving that jerky.
I’m seriously salivating over that Indonesian Texas bbq. Only to find out they are heading back to Indonesia for a few weeks! Can’t wait to try them when they are back!!!
I honestly love Bay Area food more than anywhere else in America. Coincidence that its the most Asian American populated area in the US? Definitely not!
Very tragic, I live a mile away and it’s a pillar in the CV community. I hit up the market once a week at least and will definitely be doing what I can to support them
Because they’re in the Bay? And it’s definitely not just limited to SF + Oakland. Sincere pops up all over the Bay, including Richmond and Berkeley all the time. The footage I have of Tacos Sincero is literally from Emeryville and Berkeley. We covered spots in Castro Valley and Alameda. I mention Koja in Emeryville too. The shots of the Senor Sisig truck was in San Bruno. Lemme just put each individual city I mention in the title when there’s a regional term for the area instead lol what

Lake Chabot Public Market had a massive fire yesterday. Hope they can rebuild quickly.
I live a mile away and it’s such a tragedy for the community over here. Will be helping however I can once the Cho family is ready to share more
I honestly love Bay Area food more than anywhere else in America. Coincidence that its the most Asian American populated area in the US? Definitely not!
Uhh... so I was planning on visiting Mama Chos today and it turns out the Lake Chabot Public Market caught on fire a little past midnight
Very tragic, I live a mile away and it’s a pillar in the CV community. I hit up the market once a week at least and will definitely be doing what I can to support them
shoutout fellow effulgence gang 🔥
effu baby
You're Asian american when your favorite childhood superhero is Ultraman
Ultraman and Monkey king
We call the character 'salted egg superman' in Cantonese lol
bay area is a pretty good option for Asian food but i dont think anywhere is as good as the greater vancouver area
There’s good stuff everywhere if you know where to look. if you’re talking pure amount of options tho, Vancouver def has more
SF tour when?!?!
Might be the next episode 🤔🤔🤔
market place where Mama Cho's BBQ located was burned down for a while now. NO signs of rebuilding.
pinoy bbq atbp is def best filipino food in the bay, way better than senor sisig
Ain’t been there yet, gotta check it out
$16 banh mi??!! 😂😂😂
not too long ago you could get one for 3.50 from cam huong lol how times has changed wow
Ni3 Chi1 Le Ma
Why say Bay Area in the title when you just meant "SF + Oakland"?
Because they’re in the Bay? And it’s definitely not just limited to SF + Oakland. Sincere pops up all over the Bay, including Richmond and Berkeley all the time. Wtf?.... Spot the guy that didn't even watch the vid lmao
Oakland ain’t it my guy…👎👎💩💩
