This legit saved us from buying a new washer tonight! I never knew there was a diagnostic menu and the code came back as the motor was burned out or something was caught between the basket and the tub... turns out our motor was touching our carpet and actually melted to the motor and was keeping it from spinning!!! Peeled it off the floor, raised it and boom, working wonderfully again, thank you so much!!!
Your instructions Worked Perfectly. Ran diagnostic code which I learned from a different video. F0 E3 were the error codes which means loans is too full or heavy. I was washing a queen size flannel fitted sheet and top sheet. This is a huge machine so no idea why it couldn't handle that. But had to re-spin each one separately per your instructions. Thanks so much for the video wish I had checked UA-cam sooner. I wasted a lot of water and time. Couldn't find anything in the manual etc.
You never have these kind of problems with washers made before 2010. You will be lucky if you get 3 years out of this. There are washers from the 1960's on youtube that are still working.
You are amazing my friend!! I had no idea I could do a diagnostic and like many others thought I would have to buy a new one. I got the F8 and E1 codes and now looking them up in hopes I can fix it. I do know my wife ran a weighted blanket (things are really heavy) in it just before it broke so I wonder if that caused it to break
Mine will let some water in, but not enough water... like it shuts water off itself. Then throws LF code. Pressure is good. Worked great, then suddenly next time it does this... any advice or video on same scenario???
F5 E 3 The lid light comes on and is blinking . Any help in doing a hard reset as I tried doing exactly what you suggested, even unplugging unit . Thank you in advance .
So I went to cleamine and then got a random set of letters and numbers blinking afterwards. Before i cleared it was only E1 and F5. I'm having locking problems.
EDIT: Hang on, I figured out that the lights are blinking in your video due to the framerate of the video capture. However, mine only returns 8:88 with no diagnostic code. It double beeps every time I make a selection. Sometimes I can unplug it for a while and plug it back in, and then I can make ONE selection before the whole screen refuses to respond (besides power button) and just double beeps at me. I did press start one time, and it seemed to begin but then it stopped and double beeped at me. At least I know it's not a problem with the machine but with the shitty display. That diagnostic mode passcode just lit up all the buttons solid for me... which in a different troubleshooting page is something where you press all the buttons and then power last and it "resets" your display. I guess I've got a mutant. But it looks exactly like the one in the video.
Great info after I searched a bunch of sites and couldn't find reset info. Only question, it looks like you must clear the codes one at a time (at least that appears to be happening on mine); how many codes are stored (I've cleared at least 50 with more showing up), and is there a master clear way to clear all previous codes? TIA
Obviously I would definitely check the outlet to make sure you don’t have a bad neutral or something like that but if in fact is good I would then open the machine and check the fuse. Fuses on you located after you see where the wires come in follow that circuit and you can see a fuse
Just wait until it won’t work at all like mine did twice. Both times I had to clean corrosion off of the circuit board. The second time I used clear nail polish to seal the board from steam that rises up and corrodes the silver solder. I will NEVER buy a Whirlpool or Maytag again. People think that their getting the old Maytag quality but it’s just a name stamped onto a Whirlpool.
Thank you. The only issue I am having is that the washer isn't doing cold water. And I checked the water lines and the blue is drawing hot water and the red is cool if I switch it should that fix it?? I just did the diagnostic test, and the fault code was F0E4, which is the hot /cold water fault. So I guess that answered my question. Thank you again for the video👍
Also, double check on the back of the machine with the waterlines connect. There is a small filter make sure it is not blocked. If you continue to have the problem, you might have an issue with the solenoid valve on the cold side inside of the machine not allowing water in.
@ffsteel111 We switched the waterline, and now we have cold water. Thanks again.👍 If you have any more information about this washer, we would appreciate the videos. So we can repair it ourselves.
Thanks to you I was able to find out the error codes and solve my problem F0 and E3. Load to heavy. Washed a queen flannel fitted sheet and top sheet. It was too much for this HUGE machine. After finishing sheets were soaking wet. Had to spin them dry separately.

NYKnicks6 The F0E5 Error code indicates that an off balance load has been detected. This means that the load in the washer/dryer could be too large, or it could be unbalanced. Avoid tightly packing the washer/dryer. Avoid washing single items. Balance a single item such as a rug or jeans with a few extra items. Note that an unbalanced load may not reach the intended washer spin speed for the cycle you selected. This could increase dry times.

Fabian Perea The Cabrio Washer F6E2 error code means the user interface board cannot communicate with the main control board. Reset the washer by unplugging the washer for 5 minutes then plug it back in and see if the error persists. If the error quits and the washer is working after the reset then the main board just needed a hard reset. I un plugged it connected it back in. Lid lock light stays flashing. What can i do to be able to run the diagnostic? Prior to this, washer adds time to any cycle even “clean washer”. Help me please!
I would try turning it off and turning it back on with the power button and then entering the diagnostic mode or try to press the rinse and spin button . If the lid lock light is still flashing that means it’s doing some thing and does not want to allow you to open it. Also try leaving the power unplugged for a little longer period of time to make sure everything resets

If your looking to repair your machine yourself check out the tech service manual for this unit. drive.google.com/open?id=1fpXw5lpQHFmhgsXcoO00ySknH7LJUcRl It has a ton of information including what the error codes mean and detailed instructions on how to repair the issues.
Error code F03 E01 is a system designation of a problem with determining the water level. The first letter with numbers shows a sensor malfunction, the second one - to a specific damage zone. In particular, problems can be associated with both the central board and other elements: an analog or electronic pressure switch; a hose; a pipe; an air trap. First heck the water level pressure hose located between the pressure switch and the air trap. It can be twisted, pinched, bent, clogged, unsealed If all that is fine you more than likely have a bad pressure switch although it’s probably a twisted hose from moving,
The only filter on this machine is incoming water filters and those are located on the back of the machine directly where the hoses come in from the wall to the machine !
I was able to get it into diagnostic mode and the only error I got was ld2. Assume its a drain problem. When you say power down, do you mean unplug completely for five minutes the plug back in? @@ffsteel111
LoLiTa Lo C. This is a drive motor error. When the machine is started the sensing part of the load starts and usually when this error is present the machine will shut down after a few seconds and the lid lock light starts flashing. This means the main board is not sensing the rotation of the basket correctly or not sensing basket movement at all. First step in diagnosing this problem is making sure the basket turns free and is not jammed in any way. Then check for correct voltages at the main board (have yet to change a main board for this issue some techs skip this step and move straight to the shift actuator.) This is issue can also be caused by an optic sensor falure. The optic sensor is inside the shifter assy. You will the replace the whole shifter assy to fix the optic sensor failure. In my experience the optic sensor is usually the cause of this error. There is an optic sensor test you can access and by spinning the basket by hand the lights on the control will dance showing the optic sensor is reading movement. The exact procedure is in the tech manual. Normally the part replaced is the shift block actuator
Randy Crews so Cabrio Washer F7E5 error code means the main board has detected a shifter failure, this happens when the shifter is not engaging or disengaging for wash or spin mode. Reset the washer by unplugging the washer for 5 minutes then plug it back in and see if the error persists. If the error quits and the washer is working after the reset then the main board just needed a hard reset. If it did not reset then check the wiring harness plug at the shifter for any signs of wear or breaks or bad connections. Make sure the shifter can move freely and is not in a bind. Check for clothing lodged between the agitator/impeller and the basket. This could cause them to bind together and not allow the basket to engage this one I have seen to be an issue it could be a small piece of clothing maybe even a very tiny ladies undergarment.
HI I don't have a W1 model I do have a W0 I think I got it in 2016/2017 I'm not sure if I have warranty or not. My son put 2 comforters in the washer since then my washer been having a LF code. I can't put much in it anymore if I do it's 3 items tops like clothing if I add more it takes forever to add water then shuts off if I do have 3 items it suppose to run 45 minutes standard cycle but it'll take a good hour and half. it keeps adding time to the cycle time. Any help and advice would help me alot! thank you
Amy Torres I would check the fill tube and make sure it’s not clogged because the LF code means there’s a fill issue it stands for a long fill. When the water fills up there’s a pressure sensing module connected to a small clear pipe on the back of the unit near the tub and it could be kinked because of the large load inside the basket trying to agitate. After that large load you said your son put in there it might have kicked it at that time
I haven't used it for anything other than starting the washer, but there's a pause/start button...try pressing it at the point you want to let things soak. Maybe that'll work the way you want.
Our washer is in the garage and temperatures have dropped so it's old . Our washer stopped working the water froze . My codes are f5 and E1 can someone give me directions on how to fix these?
I would first unplug it and let it sit for a bit and then plug it back in after that I will check and make sure that the door switch is working properly. That code indicates a door switch problem
Wondering if you know why the 3 lights green, amber and red would come on when I press the start button. Not every time but here and there. It is the lights under the time of the wash circle. Thank you
Please help me. I was able to run a diagnostic check. I Fixed the issue. I even checked each step in the diagnostic mode. It worked perfectly. I cleared the codes but it doesn’t work on a regular cycle. What could be wrong?
I have a question about my dryer. It works just fine but it no longer beeps when it's turned on or the cycle is done. Do you have an idea what I should look at first? Thank you.
Do you have to clear the code after you check the inlet filters, hoses, and drainage hose? Because I checked all of the possible issues and my washer ( whirlpool model WTW7500GC2) ran one cycle and the next displayed the LF code.
Yri Ruiz No they clear automatically but I would check your input water flow make sure they’re not obstructed and make sure the filters are clean in the back of the machine where you connect to hoses
Yes you’re going to need to disconnect the washer from the wall move it forward and access it from the bottom normally what people do is tilted and let the washing machine rest against the wall as you work on it underneath.. remove the hose take out the pump look inside make sure there’s nothing stuck and try to spin it with a screwdriver it should spin freely
The F6 E2 alert indicates there is issue with the appliance control unit, user interface or associated wiring. Unplug the washer, wait five minutes, then plug back in.
Cynthia Tarpy From the research I was able to do the F8 code board failure ,although the combination you’re seeing on your machine I’m on able to find. I would try contacting Whirlpool and see if they can give you any further details sorry I don’t have an answer for you on that one . I would try to unplug the machine and let it sit unplugged for about 30 minutes and then plug it back in and try again . Also make sure you hear the lid lock after and you start the cycle. I’ll let you know if anything else comes up
Nathaniel Thomas 888 means the PC board is shorted and the display driver that shows what supposed to be a display is not working,I would take the PC board out of the machine, look for water corrosion,it will be like a white powder now if you see that, you have water damage from some other part inside
There’s an obstruction from the bottom of the washing bowl to the drain. It could even be the drain itself. One task you can do is take the drain hose out put it into a large wash basin sink and see if the same error code continues
That would indicate a lid lock issue. I would try and making sure that there’s nothing in the way of the latch on the front of the machine and spraying a little bit of lubricant on it. If that does not fix it then you might need a new lid latch lock
I have the same washer and I am having some issues. I originally got the code f1e3 and replaced a cracked washer lid. After that the code F1e5 has appeared. I tried to google this code and read that the washer may need to be recalibrated. I ran the recalibration cycle or cycle 052 and then tried to use my washer. When I turn the washer on I can not change any mode and it just beeps at me when you touch the screen. I am not not getting any more error codes but still cannot use the washer. Does this by any chance sound like something you have seen. I would hate to buy a new washer because this one is only 2 years old but I have already put 3 hundred In for a new lid and still can not use the washer. any ideas would be helpful!
I am very sorry to hear that it sounds like you have had quite some unfortunate issues. If it’s just beeping it does sound like it’s in some type of programming mode I would try entering the diagnostic mode and then clearing any codes or just clearing it in general. Then I would turn the machine completely off by unplugging it and letting it sit for 20 minutes after that I’m not sure
This is exactly what mine is doing. I have repeated all diagnostics, reset, power off for hours on end. Over and over too many times to count always ending with the same result. It just sits there and beeps at me reguardless what button I try. Very frustrating as this machine is like new and well maintained. Curious of the final outcome for @dominiquefulmer6674. What was the fix?
The Cabrio Washer F7E3 error code means the main board has detected an issue with the drive motor or drive motor circuit. Drive module over current. Reset the washer by unplugging the washer for 5 minutes then plug it back in and see if the error persists. If the error quits and the washer is working after the reset then the main board just needed a hard reset. If it did not reset then check the lower wiring harness at the stator (motor) for any signs of wear or breaks or bad connections. If the plug and wiring looks ok then there are some diagnostic tests that can be made with an ohm/volt meter.
So what does it mean when u get a low flow during the cleaning cycle? It keeps doing it almost like the hot water is not flowing to the system, ive taken the hoses off and checked them and pulled everything abd even cleared codes, ran diagnostics everything seems to work except hot water doesnt flow... Replace water valve perhaps? Not sure as every thing ive ran thru diagnostics runs??? www.manualslib.com/manual/1244310/Whirlpool-Cabrio-Wtw8500dc.html?page=4#manual Can run every thing to figure diagnostics for those who need it
Avies48 You can try replacing the valve or it look inside of it for mineral buildup like calcium and iron also are you on a well or city water? And a lot of times near your water heater there will be a buildup in the pipes of mineral deposits especially if you have a instant hot water heater so all of those factors are possibilities
Avies48 Might be a good idea for you to install a D scaling mechanism near your water heater right before the inlet water it would help prevent further issues down the road to other appliances and fixtures
Unplug the washer for five minutes, plug it back in and see if the board resets. If the board does not reset then you can try to take a hairdryer and run the heat back and forth over the user control panel and see if the key will unstick if not you will need to replace the user board :(
ClaireFrom YT F8E1 Error Code - No Water Flow Detected The F8E1 Error Code indicates that the washer/dryer is not detecting any water flow going to the washer/dryer. This can be caused by several reasons, including the following: Washer/dryer may not be connected to the home water supply. Home water supply valve may not be turned on. Inlet hose to washer/dryer may be kinked. Make sure that the washer/dryer is connected to the home cold water supply, and that the home water supply valve is fully open (turned on). Verify that the inlet hose to the washer/dryer is not kinked.

Error code F03 E01 is a system designation of a problem with determining the water level. The first letter with numbers shows a sensor malfunction, the second one - to a specific damage zone. In particular, problems can be associated with both the central board and other elements:
an analog or electronic pressure switch;
a hose;
a pipe;
an air trap.
First heck the water level pressure hose located between the pressure switch and the air trap. It can be twisted, pinched, bent, clogged, unsealed
If all that is fine you more than likely have a bad pressure switch although it’s probably a twisted hose from moving,
Could you tell me where is the water filter on this washer? Thanks
The only filter on this machine is incoming water filters and those are located on the back of the machine directly where the hoses come in from the wall to the machine !
Mine beeps on every button I push. When I tried to go into diagnostic mode the display reads 8:88 and does nothing. Sheesh!
Power down for 5 mins then try again . If nothing i would say mother board
I was able to get it into diagnostic mode and the only error I got was ld2. Assume its a drain problem. When you say power down, do you mean unplug completely for five minutes the plug back in?

What if I get an f9 and E2
Could you help what F7 E5 please 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@ffsteel111 I have this F7 E5 error on a wtw8000dw0. Where can I get the tech manual?
US too :(
Do you have a video to show how to clean the drain pump filter on this same model?
How did you get no lights on from the very beginning?
After that large load you said your son put in there it might have kicked it at that time
Is there a way to pause after filling so I can soak clothing for hours instead of it draining after 15 minutes?
Please let me know if you found a way to do that, I've been wondering the same thing
I haven't used it for anything other than starting the washer, but there's a pause/start button...try pressing it at the point you want to let things soak. Maybe that'll work the way you want.
@@hitmeback01 it drains and shuts itself down at about 15 min
@@m.m.m.c.a.k.e Bummer, sorry that wasn't the answer 😮💨. I should have guessed based on the amount of time pre-soak adds. Best wishes
I have an f5 and and e1 could you maybe help me with those codes, thank you
Zubaidah H that’s going to be a door lock problem .
My washer power light is blinking
Enter the diagnostic mode and see what type of information it gives you. It could be a bad board or a broken lid lock
Wondering if you know why the 3 lights green, amber and red would come on when I press the start button. Not every time but here and there. It is the lights under the time of the wash circle. Thank you
I don’t know why those lights are coming up sorry
Please help me. I was able to run a diagnostic check. I Fixed the issue. I even checked each step in the diagnostic mode. It worked perfectly. I cleared the codes but it doesn’t work on a regular cycle. What could be wrong?
I would try to clear them again and the. Shut it off unplug it and let it sit for 20 mins . Then try to turn it on
I have a question about my dryer.
Thank u so much for this video it saved money and I am absolutely grateful for it.
Hey. So mine is doing the same. When u say at the beginning u removed a black hose do u mean u literally went under the washer??
Yes you’re going to need to disconnect the washer from the wall move it forward and access it from the bottom normally what people do is tilted and let the washing machine rest against the wall as you work on it underneath.. remove the hose take out the pump look inside make sure there’s nothing stuck and try to spin it with a screwdriver it should spin freely
Great video! You saved me a bundle$$! Thank you!
That made my washer came back to life! Thanks for the tricks. It works for WFW6620HC0 washer
The touch screen buttons aren’t working so I can’t put it in diagnostic mode to try and reset them or anything.
Might be a bad logic board or touch panel . Try unplugging for 30 mins and then try again .
How to reset to factory settings
There’s no such thing as reset it to factory settings, because there is also no way to sat otherwise than what it comes with from the factory .
mine is making a horrible noise when agitating.
Would you suggest the whirlpool cabrio?
do not buy this piece of crap.It dosent get your clothes clean. go with a agitator style.
@@keithsanderson2466 thanks! I was eerie about the no agitator.
I have this exact model and would NOT recommend.
what is error code f6 and e2
The F6 E2 alert indicates there is issue with the appliance control unit, user interface or associated wiring.
Unplug the washer, wait five minutes, then plug back in.
Nothing comes out for me :/
Maria Herrera Try repeating the process and power cycling the machine
How do you clear codes on the dryer?
I have an F8 and E6 can anyone tell me what those codes mean?
Cynthia Tarpy From the research I was able to do the F8 code board failure ,although the combination you’re seeing on your machine I’m on able to find. I would try contacting Whirlpool and see if they can give you any further details sorry I don’t have an answer for you on that one . I would try to unplug the machine and let it sit unplugged for about 30 minutes and then plug it back in and try again . Also make sure you hear the lid lock after and you start the cycle. I’ll let you know if anything else comes up

Look at this link here might be your issue
Looks like it’s your water inlet valve possibly needs replacement
Thanks buddy
No problem 👍
When i enter the diagnostic mode, the only thing that comes up is 888. please help
Nathaniel Thomas 888 means the PC board is shorted and the display driver that shows what supposed to be a display is not working,I would take the PC board out of the machine, look for water corrosion,it will be like a white powder now if you see that, you have water damage from some other part inside
The man with the master plan! 💪🏿💯😤
What if you cannot power off
Thank you !!!
I currently have a F9 and E1 code . My husband changed the hose . Could it be the pump is blocked ?
There’s an obstruction from the bottom of the washing bowl to the drain. It could even be the drain itself. One task you can do is take the drain hose out put it into a large wash basin sink and see if the same error code continues
@@ffsteel111 thank you
What if I have f5 E3
@@ffsteel111 okay thank you? I will try this again and see what happens!
Bro. You’re the shit🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Mine was f5 an e2 but It work so thanks I guess lol
My whirlpool cabrio model # WTW7300DWO Is coming up with error E3 F7 can you please help? What do these codes mean?
Not sure as every thing ive ran thru diagnostics runs???
www.manualslib.com/manual/1244310/Whirlpool-Cabrio-Wtw8500dc.html?page=4#manual
Can run every thing to figure diagnostics for those who need it
Avies48 You can try replacing the valve or it look inside of it for mineral buildup like calcium and iron also are you on a well or city water? And a lot of times near your water heater there will be a buildup in the pipes of mineral deposits especially if you have a instant hot water heater so all of those factors are possibilities
@@ffsteel111 i do have hard water and calcium build up quickly, so the valve might be the issue, doesnt seem to run hot water thru much
Avies48 Might be a good idea for you to install a D scaling mechanism near your water heater right before the inlet water it would help prevent further issues down the road to other appliances and fixtures
Our washer's error codes are E1 & F2 for stuck key. Do you have any suggestions?
Unplug the washer for five minutes, plug it back in and see if the board resets.
If the board does not reset then you can try to take a hairdryer and run the heat back and forth over the user control panel and see if the key will unstick if not you will need to replace the user board :(
Thank you so much for sharing this video.
My dryer doesn’t make the noise when it comes on anymore. Can anyone tell me how to fix the sound Please?
More then likely is a bad roller
How do you reset the washer?
what’s F8 and E1?
ClaireFrom YT F8E1 Error Code - No Water Flow Detected
The F8E1 Error Code indicates that the washer/dryer is not detecting any water flow going to the washer/dryer. This can be caused by several reasons, including the following:
Washer/dryer may not be connected to the home water supply.
