Oh, no kidding. I didn't know until Bobbie Brown wrote her book and upon reading it, that he actually wrote everything for Warrant... the lyrics AND all of the music. Then he just taught everyone their parts for when it came time to record (Sort of like Nikki Sixx). As per her, he was just a super chill guy who despite that, still shared his publishing royalties with his bandmates. The other stuff she was going on about left me with a "Not cool, Bobbie Brown, he's not here to defend himself" sort of perspective (Along with her comments about Rob Pilatus) but that was pretty cool of her to include. Unless it was a dig at the guys in Warrant or something, one never knows.

@@AnthonySforza I agree Anthony that it was good that she gave him credit for writing everything and giving the other band members credit. What I didn't like was some of the stuff she said about him and also how she went about trying to change him. I've heard her say she didn't like his clothes, his hair, his "camel toe, which all rock stars of the time had, and that he was a dork. She used dork in a not good way. The other things she said could be true or not. As you said he isn't here to defend himself. But then again, maybe my love for his genius has me seeing him with a rosy glow. There are two sides to every story. Being married to an alcoholic isn't easy. My mother married 2, but you knew he loved her very much when they were married.

I met him in Toronto after a show I asked how his daughter was doing he sat sat down with me for a half and talked about her and my kids it was like just friends talkin. I think he liked the fact that a fan wasn't drooling all over him and had a normal conversation. R.I.P.

I'm like you he was a genuine person not a cocky ass rock star when you were at HIS concerts he made you feel like a friend and everyone like family and he sounded like the record live in concert most concerts I went too the so get couldn't pull it off but jani did RiP JANI my take on his passing was they shot too the top real quick then 4 yrs later none of the people respected party metal anymore the record company turn there backs to him he was was the major song writer so he had to switch things up I think Bobbie used him for her own plat form to get her self in better position he sense that he probably did feel loved by her or the fans anymore not like it was so he started self medicating by alcohol gain weight probably had low self-esteem band breaks up they let him back in then let him go so like his albums says back to one he probably put on a good front cause he did method acting in college for a little bit til he got the warrant gig cause I'm puzzled on why would he go to a comfort inn just to drink then pass away in woodland hills it's not that far from where he lived I wish someone would do the behind the scene on this it upset me why he would do this plus getting back to his 1st child born Taylor he wouldn't get to see her as much after the divorce I think he was a hurt and was truly broken heart ed cause remember in 1990 1991 they were about the biggest glam band concert when cherry pie tour came out and next record barley a sneeze from the record company fucked them over your on top and noe your not that's what the bitter pill song means and quick sand is him and Bobbie you listen to it he was writing his own process of life it just weird how he had to pass everyone says alcohol poison I think something else happens it was a cover up

Ryan's vlogging it your right, Jani was murdered. I know this for a fact. You see, the only thing Jani owed me for all the music on Dog eats Dog album, was to never stay in a motel/hotel with the word INN in the name. I even made him write it down on his sketch that day. Jani always kept his word. We met when we were really young, before he changed his name. I told him to learn how to play the guitar, I was a lead guitar player and had to have a private life, so I wrote music for other bands...to give them a start. Jani's not the only musician that was murdered....I could tell you about a few....and they were listed not as murdered...:-( The music industry was very dangerous....most likely still is.

DAMN what a loss. Amazing voice . I remember the first time I heard Warrant and was like who the F is that? It was the song Down Boys and never stopped being a fan. Saw em open for Motley on the Dr. Feelgood Tour and they opened with So Damn Pretty. This was in Worcester MA . They were going to the Channel Club in Boston after the show but I had no ride to make it. My college roommate got Janis bandana that fell off his head and we hung it on the wall. They also played Uncle Toms Cabin saying it was a new song on the next album. (blew me away) In today's day and age those are some great fucking memories I am older now 51 and someday I cant remember what the fuck I did 10 min ago but that sticks out in my mind like yesterday. Thanks Jani RIP and thanks Warrant for giving me a moment in time I can smile about.

It was a released single off the "Dog Eat Dog" Album. I heard it in Detroit on 101.1 WRIF -a few times. So it was definitely on the radio. But Grunge was slowly becoming bigger and bigger with radio programmers, so that whole album did not get the exposure it deserved. Radio will play what they think will bring in the most listeners -which unfortunately was grunge. I still listen to that album all the time. Jani was a songwriting genius. But I love this acoustic version maybe even better than the studio version.

@@MrWolverinewarrior The record labels were devoting 100% of their efforts into finding the next big thing, which just happened to be Nirvana knocking Michael Jackson off the charts. So the next Nirvana it was. Actually Jani I think mentioned walking into the columbia records main office where they used to have a big warrant spread, now replaced by..... Alice in Chains. Kids didn't want this stuff anymore. Changing of the guard.

Sometimes I'm lost and then I'm found
Sometimes I feel turned inside out
I'm often silent when I'm screaming inside
Instead of love we tend to hate
    We never quite appreciate
How much the other person cares or tries
Hold me close don't ever let me go I'm confused maybe some day I will know why
Sometimes I'm right as rain and when it rains it pours you're such a mystery why can't I unlock the door
All that glitters isn't gold too much is overkill love can be beautiful or a bitter pill
And when I'm right I'm also wrong
We give and take to get along
There's so much more to this than I ever dreamed
And when you smile I have to laugh
And when you cry I'm torn in half
So calm and yet so loose at the seams
Liebe kahn eine bittere pille sein
    Eine bittere pille
    Liebe ist eine bittere pille
Liebe kahn eine bittere pille sein
    Ich will ein bier
    Ich will be soffen sein
    Die ganze welt is dumm
Mir steht es so I'm hals
    Ich sage dir
Die liebe kann nur luge sein
    Or a bitter pill
